I recently visited a charming cafe that left me craving for more! The food, especially the desserts, were incredibly tasty and indulgent. The cafe's ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful dining experience. The menu offered a wide variety of options, but the desserts stole the show. It’s a great and cozy spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Stepping inside, it’s got the ambiance perfect for relaxation or productivity.
The pastries take me back home with each bite. They have a wide selection that never fails to impress. From sweet treats to savory delights, there's something for every palate.
Personally, I can't get enough of their Fattoush with grilled chicken. And let's not forget about their yummy coffee, a perfect companion to any pastry indulgence. I put this locale over Georgetown cupcake any day of the week. The cupcakes here have a homemade, caky mouth-feel and taste like they were baked fresh and buttery from the oven.

The Nutella and Dulce de Leche cupcakes have altered how I've felt cupcakes can change the world. I mean there's the Whole Foods and Trader Joe's variety that taste good and have pleasant icing and Georgetown Cupcake with that perfect butter cream. But, these cupcakes knock it out of the park. I can't say anything more.

I guess I'll add that the coffee is tasty, the staff is friendly, and this place is somewhat off the beaten path, although it's technically in the Mosaic District. The thing is is that the venue is located closer to residential parking and not the Target parking or near the green area where all the kids play. You'll likely have to seek this place out and not see it from a mile away.

Came here for a leisurely brunch after getting a facial in the area. I ordered the Shakshuka, pistachio latte, & Lord Baltimore cake slice. Shakshuka was honestly mid, the sauce was too soupy, crumbled sausage on top was rubbery, & nothing about the dish was "spicy" despite it being labeled as such. I finished it because I was hungry but would not get it again. Although the rustic bread served on the side was delicious! Pistachio latte was nice, but it didn't really taste of pistachio. However, what it lacked in flavor it made up for in presentation, the latte art by the barista was sooo pretty!

The bakery selection is where this place shines. Any type of pastry you can think of, from macarons to cakes & cookies is served here, & it's all made really well. The Lord Baltimore cake was a slice of pure heaven, from the moist yellow cake to the fluffy meringue frosting. The yummy bits of pecans & cherries layered in each bite were the finishing touches. Come here & try something sweet you won't be disappointed.

I grew up in the Middle East where French pastries are sold and enjoyed everywhere. Pastry Expo reminds me of those delicious French delectables from my childhood. All their creations are fresh and scrumptious. You will come back for more.
This is my go-to place to pick up nice cakes for gatherings year-round.

People may have comments on webpage, the store looking or some customer service issues but honestly none of that matters with the type of quality this place has from pastry. It is truly the number one I’ve ever had in the past 22 years in the DMV area and I highly suggest for individuals, couples and families whenever I go there on the weekends it’s always packed and the taste is marvelous, just go there. Enjoy a piece of heaven. And an additional they have their coffee corner that goes along with pastries.

It was a very nice experience. The Carmel hazelnut layer cake was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet and had depth of flavor. The tiramisu was light and sweet: an overall enjoyable experience. The chocolate dome was lackluster and was far too sweet. The Chocolate crunch roll was tasty, but a tad bit dry. The pistachio date cookie was delightful. This was all priced at 32 dollars altogether. A steep price, but worth a taste.

Great place to eat and drink coffee. Friendly, clean, and helpful staff make this a must stop when you are in the area.

As a father of three kids I appreciate delicious pastries and a place that welcomes all. The owner and staff are wonderful.

But the best part is the assortment and deliciousness of all the goodies. There is nothing bad. They cater to all tastes. When we are in the area we make sure to stop by and enjoy all the great deserts.

I first visited this coffee shop & bakery 11 years ago and loved it... I can safely say that 11 years later, it is still wonderful! The staff are friendly and remember regular customers and their orders. The baked goods are delicious. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in northern VA.

They don't have many options but they do have a few gluten-free desserts and that just in itself made my day. The coffee is flavorful and you will not be disappointed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, well-kept, and clean. However the desserts are quite pricey in my opinion.

The variety of pastries, sweet and savory, here is excellent. A plethora of options from chocolate-based to fruit-based and to nutty options. This place stands out from your average shop with the type of cakes and cookies and how fresh and well-made they are. A variety of eclairs for all tastes. The pistachio-based things are fantastic. Coffee is good and the lattes fantastic (lavender anyone?). And savory breakfast options are excellent (egg burrito wrap and soujuk wrap).

This place is a fantastic find. The pastries on display are beautiful and taste even better than they look...if that's possible. You will not be disappointed!

This past Sunday we visited 4 Sisters at Mosaic in Merryfield and after lunch wanted some dessert so after walking around the outdoor fair, visited Pastry XPO for some delicious fresh pastries, tea, coffee and a latte. Normally packed, it was quiet so we were able to get our orders in before the 3 pm cutoff (staff shortage). Great service and we had an enjoyable family visit.

Great place to get coffee and pastries of all kinds. I was impressed with the quality and variety of all goods. They've got cupcakes, pies, tarts, eclaires, macaron, you name it. It's a tad pricey of course but worth it. I had a pistachio eclair that was everything I hoped it would be. These things are more than nice enough to give someone as a gift for special occasions and holidays. I'd much rather have something from here than that weird gimmicky kitchen gadget that'll sit in a drawer, get used twice, and then get "lost" when I move. Had to wait a bit for the coffee, but that's because they were just a little understaffed. Everyone there is friendly and as efficient as they can be. Happy to have a place like this around.

I am not a bread and dessert person, but on a trip to Monte Carlo, I discovered what a real butter croissant taste like. It was airy, flaky, and buttery, unlike what I had eaten my whole life, just bread. This place reminds me of all the wonderful pastries and croissants in Paris and Monaco. I would work out more in Xsport just for a piece of the Pear Chocolate Espresso Tart. It’s life’s little pleasure that you can indulge without spending a lot of money.

You can park at target for free across the street.
Price is not cheap but food is pretty good (not that sweet). Coffee is also sold here. Water is free and self serviced.
Plenty of seating.

I’ve only had great service here but it’s the pastries - specifically the cupcakes - we always come back for! Best tasting cupcakes in the area and really pretty if you’re bringing them for a gathering or occasion. Highly recommended, we’re regulars!

Love coming here for their delicious cookies, cakes and illy coffee. It’s a bit on the pricey side but everything taste great. My kids love the tiramisu cake and my favorite is their giant coconut raspberry cookie

Pastry Xpo cafe hands down have the most delicious crossiants of any bakery , taste like what you would get from a Paris bakery " this is the only place that I have found that use the best ingredients no cheap butter here , having checked out bakery from WASHINGTON DC to Virginia nothing comes close , joy is back at breakfast time .Brian falls church Va
