Service was impeccable. Atmosphere is beautiful and spacious. Wine selection is comparable in price to many other restaurants. Breads and olive oil are a great start. Citrus and lobster salad was excellent. House tagliatelle sauce was very tasty but shrimp was overcooked. Given the number of chefs in the open kitchen, overcooking shrimp is a surprising error for the dish. Overall the flavor of the sauce and perfect cooking of the pasta made up for the shrimp oversight.

Tucked away near the lobby of the Ritz is this precious little gem of a true feast from Italy. 🇮🇹
The pizza was exceptional. I’m not going to get over the crust for months. It was that good. The tomato/Basil Soup, Burrata arugula salad were a perfect start to the meal.

Cocktails specific for the occasion. Seating was the most comfortable for a true dining experience and several waiter chosen wine selections later - could not be happier with this choice.

Prices were right on par for the meal - nothing was over my expectations. Open, easy, accommodating for Gluten free with pizza and bread. I mark this as a WIN.

Went to Alfonso's to surprise my Partner with the Holiday Cocktail Tree and she loved it. The presentation was perfect. Quality ingredients, as expected, made for delicious cocktails ranging from sweet to bitter. We loved all four flavors but The Grinch, we ordered additional cocktails it was so good. We also ordered the Farmers Board, meat, cheese, roasted vegetables was very satisfying. Of course excellent service

Food, Service and Atmosphere all amazing! The place is beautifully decorated, the tables are spread out and you do not feel crowded which also makes it easy to hear people at your table. The kitchen is open and you can se everything. If you are interested they even have a few seats at a counter overlooking the kitchen. They have spared no expense on the decor, plateware or making the kitchen beautiful and what I think would be a dream to cook in. I wish they would offer cooking classes during the day a few times a year as that would be so cool.

Great cocktail and wine list which we enjoyed and we had a variety of dishes including the special Lobster Gnocchi which had an amazing taste and texture only wish the chunks of lobster were just a little bigger. The pea soup was wonderful as was the pizza.

This place. Wow. We made reservations on the OpenTable app for a party of 5 at 7:45pm for dinner. We parked in the ritz Carlton parking garage. You can get to the restaurant by walking through the hotel from the parking garage. One member of our party was not able to make it, but we just let them know at the front desk and it was no problem at all. After showing us to our table, each person receives a small platter and they pour olive oil on it - it looks like sunny side up egg! Then they give you this little bag of bread as well. We went on December 8 and they were offering their holiday cocktail tree. It comes with 8 drinks - there are 2 of each of their 4 holiday cocktails. Every drink was so good. The tree was 150. We asked if we could substitute different drinks onto the tree and the answer was no. It’s okay because the tree was adorable and the drinks turned out to be awesome. Then the entrees were fabulous. I got the Chicken Supreme. I have eaten a ton of chicken dishes in my life and I can say this was the best prepared chicken I have ever had. Juicy, tender…it was amazing. My boyfriend had the Polpette Napoletane (basically fancy meat balls) and they were delicious as well. Usually meatballs are a little crispy on the outside, but these were not. I also had an espresso martini. Exciting insider tip: they can put any image you want on the top of the martini or tiramisu!!!! Just tell the waiter and he will give you a number to text your image to!!!!! I got a picture of my dogs!!!! Also the tiramisu was really good. In the pictures we saw this border around the top of the dish and we thought it was like a paper rim that said casa don Alfonso on it…..it’s chocolate. I can’t wait to go back and get brunch or try their pizza :))))

Excellent accommodations for gluten and dairy allergies. The gluten free marinara pizza was beyond amazing, a soft and chewy pizza base like I’ve never had before. The staff gave exceptional service! Thank you, will be back very soon to enjoy the healthy Mediterranean flavors again!

The staff has always been so incredibly attentive and helpful. Ivan was my waiter at brunch and was so kind. The food is always 10/10. Overall I have no complaints and am so happy every time I leave.

This is my third time dining at Casa Don Alfonso. The place is absolutely gorgeous! The glass leaves hanging from the ceiling, the copper accents, the lighting. The staff are always easy to work with and delightful. The food is AMAZING! I went during the first few weeks they were open and the owner came out and explained the ingredients in every dish. We got the lobster salad, rigatoni, and tagliatelle. Everything was great. It was a perfect Valentine's dinner.

Delicious food and service! We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, Greg, who was so welcoming. When you go to visit ask for our friend Zebib who is the best server around. Definitely worth it! Thanks everyone.

Casa Don Alfonso was really accommodating for a larger group lunch reservation we had for a Saturday. Our waitress did an absolutely amazing job and the food and drinks were delicious. Highly highly recommend to anyone wanting a super cute and chic spot for lunch for dinner to try this place out.

Man... So what an amazing valentines night. The staff were SO welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. The wine and champagne were great (thanks to Martin, the sommelier who not only helped that evening, but reached out to help me plan well in advance). The decor and atmosphere was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for better, thank you guys so so much for making our evening magical.

Spectacular! I love the atmosphere, the service, and of course, the food! I went for brunch with co-workers, but there was too many of us for a table. Aida was accommodating and patient as she booked us the private dining area. After arriving at Casa don Alfonso, Taylor our server, was kind and professional. Everything from the All-You-Can-Eat buffet was extremely delicious -- I can't wait to come back!

We had a great time with the food and staff during our visit. We sat at the pizza bar and chatted with Donovan, the resident pizza master. I had him make me something of his own creation, while my date had the fresh lettuce and sparerib lasagna.

All of it was amazing and very layered. Presentation was superb. Donovan was happy to chat and answer any questions we had.

Sadly we didn't have time to try the espresso martini, but that gives us more reason to get back sooner. Thank you for an amazing meal and excellent service!

Went to their breakfast buffet on the weekend and the service was great. It’s definitely a treat to go here so be ready to splurge a bit ($45 with tip and tax - paying for the vibes). The chia pudding was AMAZING, I don’t know what they put in there but I could have had 3 of these. The avocado toast with smoked salmon was absolutely delicious and I love how fresh everything tasted (even the ketchup)!

Unbelievable. The service, especially from Jonathan and I think Melanie at the bar- such great hosts. The tuna tartare was incredible, best ever. The gnocchi was excellent, and the drinks were excellent. They have the most gorgeous kitchen I've ever seen, check out my photos. Update: 1 year later and it's just as excellent.

We've been wanting to come to this restaurant for some time now and finally made it for brunch on our pre-anniversary. 27 years tomorrow! Yay us! Anyway, the brunch is a buffet - the old restaurant here in the Ritz had a legendary buffet brunch, too, but this is definitely a step up. I ate way too much, I'll blame it on the second waffle with maple syrup. Or perhaps it was the Mexican omelet. Or the third avocado toast. I don't know, it was all delicious. My wife made me dress up with a button down shirt and jeans, but it apparently was not required here. Gave me an opportunity to judge some folks for their crocs and exercise outfits. Great place for brunch!

Quality ingredients, great food. The fresh made pizza is the best. The Tiramisu is absolutely delicious especially with cup of espresso. Has a very relaxed vibe and service was pleasant. Maureen the head host was very helpful and wonderful person. Seating is a little limited so I would make a reservation a week or two before. As a Amalfi coast restaurants was expecting more seafood , octopus, calamari etc. I hope they can open up the seating a little more. We were told easier to get seat at chefs table along the kitchen.

This is probably the best restaurant all around I have ever experienced. The environment and look of the restaurant is just breathtaking. The service and staff are literally top-notch and leave you truly engaged and felt taken care of. The food and drinks were outstanding. We will forever call Casa Don Alfonso a must go-to place for a great experience. We already can't wait to go again.

Absolutely delicious brunch - probably the best in STL. Best part -- there are many options to accommodate a vegetarian diet while still enjoying the brunch selections. Every single staff member was amazing and so friendly. All of the food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My favorite item was the avocado toast and my guests was the in-house cut bacon. The high quality loose tea was an additional and unexpected delicious addition to the meal.

OK everyone settle in. This is a detailed review bc I feel like it's needed. We read most of the other reviews and decided to still give this restaurant a try. My husband made reservations several months in advance so we were very excited and also nervous based on other reviews. I will say, we had a great time!! Yes, it was expensive, but we enjoyed everything we ate and the service was amazing. Between the two of us we wanted to taste a little of everything to give this place a fair shake. We had 5 cocktails, the farmer's board appetizer, the Parma ham pizza, the lasagna, the tagliatelle, and the tirimisu. Everything we tasted was delicious in its own right. If we ever go again, we definitely will not order so much food bc the portions are a decent size, but they did bag it up for us to take home. The service tonight was great! They have people going around just refilling water and bread so that the servers can focus on other things. Our server was Andrew and he was very knowledgeable on the history of the restaurant and the entire menu. He made several recommendations that turned out great! We were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us complimentary tirimisu which was very unexpected. For the cocktails, we got the limoncello (the best we've ever had), the espresso martini (like drinking smooth cold coffee), the little fig, and the pear honey. With dessert, Andrew recommended the Vin Cioccolata dessert cocktail that my husband and I shared. Let me tell you, this drink was yummy! Spiced wine mixed with hot chocolate! Such a great winter drink! Out of everything, I think the lasagna was the best part, if I had to choose, but everything was delicious! I would definitely go again sometime! And hell, we might just go back for the drinks!
