Ann's is one of our favorite places to eat ! Good home cooking. Breakfast all day. Lunch and dinner starts at 11:30 am.
The staff are always polite and check on you but not enough to make you feel pushed.

Now Known as AFD, this place was pretty nice. Small bar area, but very cozy. Love the vintage prints on the wall. The Bartender, Dani, was wonderful. Fast, friendly and personable. Looking forward to coming back. The food was quite good. Love the crab croquettes.
And the Garlic Parmesan wings were outstanding. Lex, our server, was a doll.
The service excellent.

Our server was awesome. She's friendly and kind. The food was delicious but the atmosphere could use some help. Maybe add something to the tables, some music.

Went there this morning for breakfast. Upon seating was asked by a great server, Tara. Whom brought our drinks and oversaw our eating experience with care and making sure both of us were well cared for. I'd ordered a "bankers" special. (Consisting of 2 eggs, home fries, sausage and English Muffin.) Companion ordered the Southern Belle (2eggs, home fries, toast, and Country Ham) Both meals, were EXCELLENT.. Well proportioned and cooked with care...
All I can and will say by being local guide, this diner is the place to check out. Whether by locals or travelers. Well worth the trip. Will return most definitely. Congrats and we'll deserved.

Had dinner here with my grandson tonight, the food was excellent and our waiter was over the top, he took the time to make us feel at home his name was Skylar and he really went the extra mile to make sure that we enjoyed our meal. Good customer service is hard to find in this day and time but he nailed it we will definitely be back!

Ann's Diner is great. You are greeted with a "Welcome to Ann's". The wait service and the food, well all I can say is TERRIFIC! My favorite is the Chicken Fried Steak. The closest thing to "Texas Made" I have found here in Virginia. They have a super salad/soup (home made) bar. Give Ann's a try and you will definitely be planning a return trip. Ann's is closed on Mondays so plan your trip accordingly. Enjoy your meal!

Family oriented, clean, home cooked food, and friendly staff. The restaurant was filled almost to capacity when I visited but the food was still served fairly quickly and with a smile. The waitress was very attentive to our needs.

Stopped by for a late lunch with a young man who had never eaten here before. When I asked what he wanted for lunch he suggested Hardee’s cause he wanted a good burger. So I suggested Ann’s. I happy to report that this young man said he’d never go back to fast food burgers again. He couldn’t get over the size of his sandwich and the quality of the food for the price. He was shocked that his combo came with a heaping pile of fresh cut fries and a bowl of homemade coleslaw. My soup and salad from the all you can eat bar was perfect as well. Thank goodness for the privately own restaurants in G-Town!

This is the only place I've found, outside of the Southern United States, that has proper hominy grits. This alone earns five stars. The food is fresh cooked and service is friendly a friendly.
We'll be back for dinner 😁
