Days Inn by Wyndham Newport News City Center Oyster Point

It’s budget friendly and comfortable. If your looking for simple and do not want to pay for the extra luxuries of higher end hotels, this is a great hotel. I haven’t really every experienced a bad stay at any Days Inn. I obviously haven’t been to all of them, so rely on your ratings and reviews. I love this area in general and I’m excited to come back again. Newport News is definitely one of the areas I enjoyed most.

Stayed here to take my son to check out CNU (beautiful college). 5 minutes away from the hotel. The service was wonderful. The young lady at the front desk was very informative and helpful. I would stay there again for the price and the location.

Front desk receptionist with red hair is extremely pleasant. Rooms are great! Price is awesome. Good for families. No complaints. Never had a bad experience. I always stay on the third floor just to be higher up. Smoking rooms never smell bad. I really like this hotel.

The best spot to stay is here because it is affordable and convenient.I informed them that I had lost the Apple Watch.Even the manager, Sherlin, was quite appreciative for the staff's assistance. Even after a week of calling, they located and returned us.

This is a great cheap motel to stay at. Any of the bad reviews these people are being dramatic. The room was perfectly clean, there were no bugs, and the room was spacious. I prepaid through a work perk site, no problem finding my reservation and getting me checked in quickly. There was a fine free breakfast, cereal, frozen pancakes, ect., not luxury but you won't starve! There was no loitering and the hotel was quiet other than a few people walking past and entering their rooms. The bed was comfortable and the front desk clerk was pleasant. I would certainly stay here again, the hotel is not in a bad area, it's right near a city center. This is a great deal to stay somewhere safe and cheap!

I would consider my stay to be excellent for a couple of reasons. For starters the check in process was so quick and easy that it literally made my whole day!! The overall look of the hotel on the outside and in the lobby is quite clean and it smells really good. The room is nice and up to date with usb and regular outlets all over and easily accessible . The bed is really comfy and the pillows are PerFectttt!! The pool was readily available for swimming for the hours it was stated to be opened! 😉 But the most Amazing part of staying here was the young lady at the front desk! Her name is Tia and she is the best! She has a super inviting smile and a very friendly demeanor. Her customer service skills are ON POINT! She not only did her job very quickly and efficiently but she was extra sweet and definitely most helpful in turning my family’s bad day into a happy memorable evening!!! If all the hotels I tried to check into today before this one could hire their own Tia they would most definitely be winning!! But since they can’t this Days Inn is absolutely rated above the rest!!! Thank you again Tia for your beautiful personality and genuine care for your customers!! You are definitely the GoAt 🐐 and I couldn’t be more appreciative of you! ❤

Darius who helped us check in was phenomenal! He made a tough booking situation smooth and stress free. We appreciate his and the facilities ability to work with us with a last minute reservation, during the holidays.

This Days Inn is in a very nice area of Newport News and very close to Christopher Newport University. The room was good and they have a nice pool. While not extensive, breakfast is served from 6 to 9am. The service is exceptional!!! Shirley provides quick, enthusiastic service and is more than happy to help customers!! I will come back to Days Inn just to see Shirley!

I loved and truly enjoyed my stay. The room as well as the bed and pillows were so clean (I expected some bedbugs and some scratchings - -however, nothing of that kind) and so comfy that I slept so well (being an insomniac that I always am). But one time, I missed the breakfast downstairs because I overslept. My fault. Well, there are restaurants and fastfood stores that are just around the corner. The location is safe and the staff members are so welcoming and respectful. For me, I highly recommend this hotel. Hands down.

It was a budget hotel for dirt cheap...so to expect anything more is foolish. Quick check inn..people behind the counter were nice. Quick check out. We used it for just a bed and a shower and they were adequate. No complaints

They keep the place really really clean, the staff is amazing and friendly the food is good, the beds are really soft and comfy. Loved how the mini soap smelled the towels were nicely clean Plus they have a ice machine the stay here was perfect. Thank you for for this wonderful experience.

The location is nice, not too busy but not tucked away from civilization. The staff is absolutely lovely and very kind. Only problem is the people who book other rooms, someone was smoking some super strong weed and it made my room smell up until the next morning.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Clean linens. Extremely comfy beds. They have a nice little workout room and a nice, clean pool. Clean floors, clean bathroom. We will stay here again. Great value! We really enjoyed our stay. There was tons to do in the area. Very nice neighborhood.

The residence/front desk employee was so nice and patient with my fiance and I. She genuinely seemed like she cared and understood that life has unfortunate events..

The morning Manager and Shanika are amazing!! They are both helpful and great to see a smile in the morning.
Just wish the breakfast had a little more variety.

Clean, friendly and affordable... Easy to locate. Clerk even saved us some money by telling us to reserve our room online.. we did. And we saved like over $20. Can't beat that.... Happy travels.

There was an incident my first night here the night staff rushed to take care of my concerns.The next day assignment general manager Shirley Carter could not have been more accomidating. The entire staff made my stay very pleasant.I found my room and the rest of the hotel very clean. DM

Actually EXTREMELY LOW PRICES for a nicer place to stay. Little to ZERO noise. EXCELLENT customer service!!! Clean.... There's literally nothing i can think of to say bad about this place!! I definitely recommend!

The staff is very nice!!! It couldn't have been better! Except for the strong smell of weed every day! Other than that it was a good experience, especially for my first time staying in a hotel!
