Main Street Center

I love the daffodils the daffodil tour that you can walk down main Street and see all the old buildings and read little fun facts about Gloucester and the history and they have a great historical section including a section with cars I would highly recommend did anyone who believes Virginia is for Lovers to walk down main Street with their partner holding their hand and just enjoy the scenery and vibe

"The Courthouse" is an old-fashioned downtown, with artsy shops, local, gourmet restaurants, and wonderful street art, including a gorgeous wall mural of T.C. Walker and a series of metal horses, one of which "runs" when you push a button - lots of fun! My personal favorite places are: Art on Main (local artists), Yolanda's (high-end women's clothing), Olivia's (great food, home-town atmosphere), The Popcorn Bag (gourmet, multi-flavor popcorn), and the Gloucester Brewing Company (craft beer). There is a cute museum with local history, a tiny "pocket park" to rest your "dawgs," and... The annual Daffodil Festival. Go in the Spring (flowers galore).

The work of locals to preserve and enhance Main Street has fulfilled the promise I saw when we moved here in 1998. My husband has family roots here, and we have enjoyed patronizing local businesses. The blend of history and modern shops + restaurants is ideal for locals and visitors. Charm to spare!

I went to the post office and the library there. Both were good service, the librarians were quite nice as well.

Havent been inside but the outside looks like an old timey, 50s 60s gas station. So it looks cool. 5 stars for cool factor

Post office runs on a short staff and they always do a great job and on a peninsula with little infrastructure support like wifi and such, the library offers free wifi for the lot if you need to send a message or do banking before you shop, this is the place to go. Thanks folks for helping my day go easier

My friend lives in Peary, Virginia (in Mathews, Va) which is waterfront property on Horn Harbor. So beautiful and the sunsets are breathe taking.

I love taking a day with a friend and just check out all of the shops and then find a cafe or restraunt to rest our feet and enjoy a great meal.. It's a beautiful town..

I find myself here often. Great, central location housing the main post office, county library, Anna's Pizza, a Mexican restaurant and several more shops to take your money...😎

One stop and you have Chinese, Pizza, Pharmacy, Library, shopping for home and food, and Post Office. All within walking distance.

We always find something we like. Things get added all the time. Found some cute snoopys.

You can start at the Post Office to mail a package, eat at the Wild Ginger, shop at Rite Aide, or the Dollar Store, go see some Antique and Classic Cars, order a Pizza at Anna's Restaurant, then end up at the Library....

Walking down Main Street feels like you're in the past hometown feel like everyone knows everyone so peaceful and relaxing and great shops and restaurants to go to
