El Arriero Mexican Restaurant

So happy to find this little gem! It's my favorite kind of food and I definitely wasn't disappointed. We were greeted with big smiles by several staff members and taken to our table with chips and salsa right behind us. The beers were cold and the food was hot. It came out pretty fast. Thank you to Jesus for the great service you provided!

Excellent food and great staff. The Menu...WOW! Page after page with pictures, very easy to read, drinks and a great selection. Lot's of food so we took half to go. Prices were average compared to today's inflation rates. Would I eat here again? Yes, definitely!

As the only thing that I order is beef fajitas at any Mexican restaurant, my review is going to focus on that. The beef fajitas we're quite good, although they cut the meat a little skinnier than I like. The taste and texture was still outstanding. Flower tortillas were traditional and soft and the refried beans we're also of good quality. My two friends that I were with also enjoyed their meals as well as pictured below.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life! I typically don't like Mexican restaurants because they are all the same, but I noticed this one looked extra good and had very good reviews. We drank and ate at the bar and the bartender Kay was VERY knowledgeable on everything on the menu & their tequilas (they had only been open for 2 months at this time). The food, service, and tequila was very delicious and wonderful. Highly recommend.

Excellent menu choices. The service was prompt, waiter was helpful. Delicious salsa and chips with Mexican white sauce. We ordered the Pina Tropicana. This shrimp, scallops, crab meat dish served in a half pineapple was served on a hot fajita iron skillet with flour tortillas. We topped off our meal with a slice of tres Leches cake. It was served warm and had plenty of juice(milks). One of the best we have ever had. Soo delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’m addicted to Shrimp cocktails and have been without a good one since 2015 when I left Fort Hood and the one they just served me it’s better than expected, not too spicy! Exactly how I like it! Service was very fast, friendly staff, cleanliness is superb and the bar.... I’ll show all the pics so you can see the variety they have! The decoration and music are very good and will definitely come back during the weekend to the bar! The bathroom needs some renovation, I added the pics as well for you to see the condition

Best Spanish food I ever had. This place is clean & well staffed. I had the steak fajitas; it exceeded my expectations. If you haven't been to El Arriero yet, I highly recommend it.
You will not be disappointed.

I saw their menu online before we decided to have lunch at this place on New Year’s Day.
Food, decor and service was good. Everyone (my family) liked it so that’s a plus.
Not planning to cook for dinner because our long road trip so I even ordered few items to go so we can have it for dinner.

This is an extraordinary Mexican Restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were greated by several people. The lively colors of the tables and artwork is spectacular! The menu is very extensive and the prices are reasonable. As we were sitting down, a young man placed fresh corn chips and two kinds of sauce. The red sauce wash tasty and mild. The white sauce was a surprise. It was mild, slightly sweet, and very delicious. My wife and I shared the pork fajitas. It was colorfully attractive and tasted delicious. On a second platter there was rice, beans, cuacamole, tomatoes, and sour cream. All fresh and delicious too! My wife and I strongly and favorably recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food! I had a steak, chicken, and shrimp fajita. All 3 meats were cooked superbly, very tender and flavorful. The bell peppers and fried onions were also cooked very well. The restaurant seemed cleaned and the staff was pleasant. I will visit again the next time I am in Virginia.

Good food, nice atmosphere

Great spot we found along the way traveling. Waiter was thee best. Food was served at a good temperature. I tried the fried ice cream (1st time), it was really good! We ordered the build your platter 3 entrees 2 sides. Enchiladas, tostada, Mexican rice and guacamole salad. We also had all the flavors of the Jarritos soda they had. On our way out we played a claw game. We enjoyed ourselves!

Delicious! I judge on the basics first; a crunchy beef taco and their salsa. Beef is real, not some pastey texture. Salsa is mild, but easily kicked up with choice of red or green hot sauces on the table. Haven't been disappointed yet!

Fantastic! We are on the road, looking for somewhere to stop for lunch. Pulled the Google maps and found this restaurant. They have a 5 star rating for a good reason. I had the enchiladas supreme. Excellent. Portions were large. The salsa has just the right amount of heat. My husband enjoyed the burrito deluxe. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent.Would definitely recommend this restaurant

We had a great server. Our food was very good. The only fault we had was the noise level coming from a table of grown women celebrating one of their's birthday. We didn't say anything about it though.

Ordered take out. A definite value for your dollar. They are not stingy on their portions. Ordered a couple of nachos and a margarita. I was happy with presentation and freshness and the margarita was big enough to share.

My sister and I had lunch there the food was delicious atmosphere outstanding service was excellent really would prefer this you will not be disappointed

Chef Reyes was very kind and gave us his card. Explaining it happens too much but Google wont fix it. He placed our order right away.

It was worth the minor inconvenience at NO FAULT to the resturant. I hope this saves someone from making our mistake and ordering through the phony website. Call the number on the card (see pictures), Chef Reyes will take care of you.

Food was AMAZING! Portions were generous and as we were eating we were discussing when we will be going back to get more lol it was that good.

-Guacamole was really good
-Fish tacos on point
-Taquitos (chicken and beef) were crispy and had plenty of fixings to go with
- Taco salad was delicious
- Only tasted the Al Pastor meat in the tacos, we got full but it was fantastic

Can't wait to try more of the menu!

Stopped here on a family roadtrip and received the brightest most welcoming service. The food was absolutely delicious- reminder to always let them know if you have a dairy allergy (my mistake), and they will be happy to cater to your needs! No upset tummy here :) A must-stop.
