What a great mid-week dinner we had here. Cool interior with a lot more seating than there first seems to be. I would say the restaurant was about 75% full when we went. Our waitress Jade was very helpful and made sure we had an excellent meal, which we did. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty and well executed. Will highly recommend the Jailhouse to anyone. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing dinner: The shrimp skewers were outrageous! The salmon was out of this world! We started with a plate of french fries as an appetizer. Yes, it's not listed as an appetizer, but they accommodated! Staff were extremely friendly and again the food was just amazing! Oh! And Gluten Free Options! Ambience within the restaurant is great. Seeing the old brick and old paraphernalia really made it a nice experience. It is not old and dirty, it is old and classy. Yes, for an old jail it is classy. Really loved everything! And it was great to hear some history from our server.

This place is hands down my favorite in Downtown Sanford for a great dinner, and we come here regularly. The Jailhouse hits all the right marks with its dynamic menu that shifts with the seasons. The food is consistently fresh, top-notch in quality, and bursting with deliciousness. I can't say enough about the consistently friendly and spot-on service we've always received.

I usually go for the NY Strip, which is always cooked to perfection with great flavor. They offer some unique drink options that also change from time to time. My personal favorite is the Brake Fluid, and they had a seasonal one called the Witch’s Trial – which should stay on the menu, in my opinion!

The Old Jail House is a has great food and great armosphere in downtown Sanford. The menu is small, but the flavor and execution of the dishes is on point. Also, had a old fashioned cocktail that exceeded my expectations. The way the incorporate tge jail theme throught the restaurants is brilliant. Reserve a table days in advance on the weekends or you may not be able to visit this gem.

Another favorite for Downtown Sanford: The Old Jailhouse. Our dinner was excellent and the service was top notch. Our waitress recommended dishes and they did not disappoint. Mark, GM, came to our table to greet himself and made us feel at home. Had the pork belly, croquettes, Black N Blue, and the Citrus Grilled Shrimp Skewers. Finish with the Espresso Crème Brûlée

Attended a baby shower at The Jailhouse for my daughter. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere of the room was wonderful and everyone had a great time! I would recommend using The Jailhouse for your next private event.

I loved it! It was my first time and the experience was great! It is a nice spot, the atmosphere was nice the decor was cute. The food was so good!

Our family of 12 had an enjoyable evening celebrating my grand nephew's High School graduation yesterday, 29 May 2024. Our server was a very competent and busy lady named Jade. She did an awesome job of all our drink, appetizer and food orders! We were in a private room (the booking room) and had a lovely evening enjoying the food, drink and hospitality of The Old Jailhouse.

In town for Memorial day, drove straight from Tallahassee to the Old Jailhouse. Slipped in at the last minute, place was packed completely on a Saturday night. Pork Belly appetizer quickly came out and was delicious. Wife's chicken gnocchi was not anything to write home about, really just tasted like an expensive pot pie. However that absolute star was my Black n Blue pasta, INSANE! Tender seared flank steak sliced thinly against the grain, blue cheese cream sauce was the wildest flavor iv had in a pasta dish. Wonderful. Posting most up to date menu and food photos below. Give it a try. Usually on a wait but service is fast and friendly.

I had a lovely birthday dinner here. The front room was private and perfect for having a small party! I love everything about the decor, the food and the service.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. Everything we ordered was excellent (including a good beer list and an excellent cocktail). The place is cool and fun and everyone there was friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is definitely one we would make a point of coming back to if we were in the area again.

Fantastic ambiance, and the food to match! I’ve been her twice in the last 3 days, after the first visit, we immediately made a reservation for Valentine’s Day, the Valentine’s Day menu is pictured. As weird as it sounds, I’d go here just for a bowl of Brussels sprouts, they are the best I’ve had! We’ve tried 4 separate menu items in our 2 visits, and not one disappointment or regret as of yet, I’ll be back to try more.

Was a really, really good experience! The host sat us in one of the cells instead of the main dining and we ended up being the only people in there! A nice private dinner. The food and drinks are amazing!! We ended up getting dessert to go as the restaurant didn’t close for another hour but we could tell the employees were ready to leave.

What a gem! We loved the ambience of being in an old jailhouse. Took some great photos behind bars. Their Orange Blossom Old fashioned (OBOF) cocktail was terrific. We had two of their lunch specials, a delicious steak sandwich and scrumptious salmon cake sliders. The French fries were perfectly crispy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience in a unique setting of in old jailhouse. Went for lunch and the sandwiches were delicious as were the croquettes. The service was excellent and friendly.

The drinks were drinky, the food was fooding, and it was just working for me.
The chicken park was very flavorful and the drink “Emily’s last tear” was hilariously named 5/5 stars for sure.
