I came here for the first time today. I didn't know that many places like this one still existed. It's fantastic. It appears to be a family owned pharmacy with a family owned feel. The pharmacist is very kind, and this pharmacy is a breath of fresh air. I wish more pharmacies were like this one. I came from Isle of Wight County to get medication for my new baby that wasn't available readily at closer pharmacies, and the experience I had made me want to make the drive this way more often.

After long lines and erroneous auto-refill notifications from Walgreens, I decided to take my business to this local pharmacy. Not only is this a normal pharmacy, but if there is a shortage of the specific medicine I need, this pharmacy can also make the medicine I need there as well.

The herbal medicine alternative and other items you won't find in your average Walgreens or CVS are also a plus. If I run out of something accidentally and need a bridge, this place takes care of me. Priceless. Lifetime customer. Thanks for serving the community.

Great service, how ever, I arrived at 4:45 pm today. Sign showed open, and the hours showed 10a to 5p. Place was closed.

I had an appointment to get my Covid vaccine at this pharmacy. I completed the requested online form and I was able to make an appointment for March 2, 2021 at 9:15am. I came for my appointment today, and I was told that they were only vaccinating the 65 and older population and that the health department is only allowing pharmacies to vaccinate the 65 and older population. How can this be true, when the state of Virginia is under phase 1b in vaccinating the Virginia population?

I am pregnant and this was explained on my application that they requested you complete online before you can even get an appointment; I also brought in documentation verifying this fact to my appointment from my OB/GYN. In addition, my paperwork submitted online for this 9:15am appointment (I attached a screenshot that my submission was received in this review), the gentleman behind the counter verified they received. Never was I called to say my appointment was cancelled, nor was I called to say anything about this pharmacy only vaccinating the 65 and older population. If this is the case, their forms should clearly ask if you are 65 and older and should not ask “Do you qualify to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine as per VA State Mandate and Guidance for Phase 1a and Phase 1b vaccination?” Because I do qualify and was able to make an appointment after completing their online forms, and was still denied today. Vaccination appointments are extremely hard to find in the Hampton Roads Virginia area, so to qualify to get an appointment to only be denied once arriving for this appointment is extremely frustrating. I just want to let the Virginia population know that this pharmacy is deceiving the public.

Like a couple others have stated I too booked my appointment online for March 9th. Filled out all the paperwork answered the questions and fall in the 1a phase and qualify for the vaccine now and had all documentation with me. I drove 30 minutes to get to my appointment arrived about an hour early. In that time I saw very few people coming and going to get there shot. When I went in he denied me my vaccination because I wasn't 65 or older. When I explained to him that 1a didnt have an age requirement and that yes 1b had an age qualification at this time he kept saying he couldn't give me a shot because he would loose his license. After some back and forth and being frustrated I told him fine i will leave. He kept saying he could do nothing and continued to follow me out the door and I told him I was done with the conversation and I would just take it up with the health department. He started saying "so you going to make me lose my license." I said, "no I feel maybe you need clarification on the rules of administering vaccines.(i have no control over his licensure)

By the look of his appointment schedule he has tons of vaccine and very few people getting it. Not to mention that if he has any left over he is suppose to administer it to whoever he can give it to in order to get it in an arm (words from the VDH) not waste it. After reading others posts did 3 vaccine shots go to waste or more because he denied eligible people?

I did call the VDH, the main Vaccine number emailed and called the Govenors office to report these issues and concerns. Virginians qualifying for the vaccine should not be denied when they finally find an appointment!!!! I was very lucky and Walgreens had an appointment the following day where they were perfectly happy to give me the vaccine.
