Pizza Gorda

This is some of the best pizza that you will ever have (definitely top 10). I don't know if SW Florida has a better pizza place. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. The garlic knots are also top tier with the delicious sauce.

Loved this place. You know it's going to be good when the owner is speaking to you in Italian. Had the Burrata plate for an appetizer and Pizza Americano. The wood flavor crust was awesome. We will be back!

This little gem has the most amazing food prepared with farm fresh ingredients that'll make you wanting more!!! It literally melts in your mouth and sends you to heaven! Lori was our Server and even with a packed house we wanted for nothing! Herself and all the other girls checked on us often and made our experience very special.

The BEST pizza in the Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte area! I’ve tried to handful of places, and all of them have been subpar to what I’m used to, until I came here! Amazing pizza, wings, and dessert! The atmosphere is super cute and cozy, and the staff are beyond, friendly and welcoming. This will definitely be my new spot!

Went to lunch here today and cannot say enough good things about it!
We had the specials. It was sausage tortellini, a white pizza and then ended lunch with homemade tiramisu and a cappuccino.
If you are in the area you HAVE to give this place a try!
Our server was so attentive and informative about how it is authentic Italian food. Met the owner and his wife and you can tell it is a great ran place with good people who love what they do and the Italian culture. They treated us like family.

I had the BEST Caesar Salad with shrimp at this restaurant. Garlic Knots were delicious too. I would definitely eat there again. Lori was a great server.

I haven’t even gotten my pizza yet and I’m writing this review. It’s been an insane experience. I walk in the door and I hear Italians yelling and then in my soul i had the confirmation that this was THE place. As we sat down we could tell the waiter genuinely loved the food she was talking about. We then asked what the owner liked and she went and grabbed him and he gave me his fav one that I couldn’t pronounce in a thousand lifetimes. I then continued to blindly order it. Here’s a picture of my bruschetta. It smelt so good I couldn’t even wait to take the photo. I ate two then took it. Will update review after the pizza gets here🤝

More than a 5 star restaurant!!! Authentic food and very friendly staff. The owner served us our pizza and chatted with us about his business. We loved it and decided to come back for lunch the next day. Bruschetta and lasagna.

Had a party of 8 for my grandmother's 81st birthday today. the food was delicious and fresh, service was wonderful. But what was beyond my expectations was that, when my 3yr old was walking thought the restaurant and noticed the pizza oven, the chef came over and said hello, asked her if she liked pizza, talked to her about the oven, when he saw she was excited. He invited her to see how the oven works, and showed us how they roll the dough. Made all of our day. Wonderful people and fresh delicious food.

Pizza Gorda appears to be owned by Italian immigrants who take pride in their food and service. The pizza was extremely good, like in the top 1 or 2 I've ever had. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I genuinely enjoyed my dinner there. Dave Portnoy would rate this an 8.1 which for those who know, is a monster score. I love it and I can't wait to come back.

Great wood fired pizza! The pizza choices range from basic meat lovers to a gourmet Gorgonzola, pear and prosciutto, you can’t go wrong with any choice. The service was excellent with seating inside and out. A great place for dinner.

Pizza was absolutely great. Lori our server was engaging and made sure everything went fine. Know for the tiramisu! The best I ever had. Served with desert spoons with long handles and large enough for 2. The place was immaculate and the owner was always checking on everyone.

Best of everything! Loved our server- young brunette gal who has worked there 3 years. Unreal calzone, out of this world white pie. I’m a New Yorker and am very discerning 😝 can’t wait to go back AND go on owners Italy tour next June. We were delighted to learn these owners have the gelato spot next door now. Finished off over there with the salted Carmel and chocolate cone!

The Pizza was excellent!! We ordered a extra cheese and a meat lovers. I would say the best part was the crust. Crust is everything, and they got it right. The sauce, cheese and toppings were all very tasteful too. If I had to add any negative about this place is that it only offers one size for the pie, 13 inches. But this might be why the pizza is so good!

Pizza Gorda is amazing. It's locally owned and every time i walk in everyone smiles & is grateful I am there. They work super hard and use amazing ingredients. Everything i've gotten has been outstanding. I especially love the meatballs. God Bless this family & business.

First of all, we loved the location! We sat outside on a beautiful Florida night! Our baked ziti was excellent! We also enjoyed the antipasto! Lots of meat, cheese and some olives! Although there could have been some softer crackers or bread of some sort! Our friend had margarheta pizza which looked excellent and another friend had chicken Parmigiana which also looked very good! If you’re in Punta Gorda, you should definitely give this restaurant a try!

Excellent pizza!! The pizza was delicious from the ratio of sauce, ricotta cheese to the tender, mouthwatering meatballs. The crust was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Pizza Gorda. This was our first time trying and will not be our last.

My taste buds felt like they were in Italy! The pizza crust was fermented 48 hours. Delicious pizza toppings. Salads were as fresh greens as you can get. The owner is attentive and cares deeply that you enjoy your dinner. The oven roasted wings were perfectly baked, not greasy. We loved this unexpected appetizer. No words for how delicious our pizza was. If you like Italian wine wine you will love your options here. Just lovely selections.
