Absolutely painless process ordering a beautiful flower spray and small arrangement for a funeral. I called in the order and made some adjustments later, and the flowers were exquisite. Everyone was very pleased both our group of friends that sent the flowers and the recipient family. My only caveat would be that I would've liked an itemized receipt, but I didn't ask for one either. The receipt is just a total. I recommend Hughes Florist and would order again.

Another thing, the Church was not opened as I was informed....which meant that Hughes Florist had to possibly make two trips and go out of their way to ensure the flowers were delivered that next day in time for the Memorial Service.

I got a thumbs up with the flowers in hand from a family friend as she was carrying them up front to the Altar. I smiled with warmth and relief and immediately knew I would need to take out and make the time to do this review.

Taylor was a life saver! I had an arrangement with an online florist that dropped out on me last minute. I was ordering from New Jersey and couldn't spare any time. I called Hughes with only 3 hours to spare and not a lot of money 😬
Taylor was able to give me a similar arrangement and delivered to the funeral home in 2 hours for a reasonable rate. My friend saw the arrangement, said it was beautiful and loved the hand written card.
Will definitely recommend and use again for my Portsmouth florist needs!

I ordered flowers from Hughes Flowers around 10:00 AM using their online ordering and requested same day delivery. I received a call from the florist within 5 minutes to confirm as well as verify the person receiving the flowers, which I greatly appreciated. The most amazing thing is bu 11:45 AM that same day, the flowers were already delivered! That was extremely impressive. The recipient said that the flowers were beautiful and smelled wonderful! I also very much appreciated that they weren't delivered in a box like online flower services. I will definitely be ordering from Hughes again!

Our family has used Hughes’ Florist for over 60 years. They have been a part of our family through numerous weddings, proms, funerals, anniversaries, etc. The late Paul Hughes was like an uncle to us. They have ALWAYS delivered! I can’t say enough about them! Five stars all the way!
