I took my wife to the emergency room after an episode of very high heart rate. The entire staff from intake to the ER were extremely efficient. Everything move forward quickly. This ER is ran well and highly efficient.

My LO was able to get in quickly, get a chest xray, bloodwork, and a urinalysis with results, a diagnosis of pneumonia, and treatment in one and a half hours. All employees were wonderful from start to finish. The new facility is spacious and caters to the patients needs. The experience was a breath of fresh air.

I was at Belle Harbour for an outpatient procedure. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like I was important. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and kind. They explained everything very clearly. When I got back to the surgery area, the medical staff were all very kind and concerned. They also made me feel like I was important. Everything was explained clearly and I knew what to expect. After my procedure and as I was escorted to my vehicle at discharge, the excellent level of care continued. I have another procedure scheduled at Belle Harbour and I am very comfortable with my decision utilize this facility.

I arrived with my husband with severe abdominal pain. I dropped him off at the door and the security guard immediately got him a wheelchair and wheeled him over to a spot in the check-in line. By the time I parked the car and got inside to be with him he was 2nd in line. We were checking in within 30 minutes and they already had him completing tests as they instructed him to give a urine sample. No sooner has he completed that then the phlebotomist came and got him for blood work they ordered. While they were taking his blood they realized he was dehydrated from 48 hours of intestinal distress so they started IV fluids which was a blessing as he was so dehydrated. They had him back in a room in about 45 minutes. The doctor came and saw him within the first hour being there. She did a physical exam and ordered an EKG and CT scan. EKG was done within minutes. The CT scan was done within 30 minutes. During that timeframe registration came and checked us in and got our copay which I offered to pay. They didn't ask as my husband is in an awful amount of pain. They also came and checked on his IV fluid bag during that time too. They brought him back from the CT scan and told us 30-60 minutes for the results to be ready and then the doctor will be back with us. Everyone from start to finish has been incredibly nice, professional, and compassionate. Around 3 pm they informed him he has a mechanical obstruction in his small intestine and they're having the surgical team come speak to him and then they're going to have him transported to Sentara Obici for emergency surgery. So thankful for the kind, compassionate, and professional healthcare providers at Sentara Belle Harbour Emergency Department. He was at Sentara Obici in a surgical room by 5:30 pm. Six hours total time from walking in ER to being in a hospital room. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my husband!

The best ER ever. Everyone kind, professional, efficient and competent. I had to visit your ER Fri the 15th. I didn't know where to go because I was visiting from out of town. I surely made the right choice. I'd like to mention Dr Noble, James who did the EKG, Jodi my nurse and Jennifer that did the chest xray. Pleas pass this review to your CEO/president. This stand alone e.r caught what a full blown hospital couldn't and absolutely saved my life. I will ALWAYS make whatever drive to come out here to these amazing people who cared and saved me. I can't thank you enough.

Took my daughter in for concerns i was having with her pertaining to a possible UTI. The entire staff was extremely kind and professional from the moment we walked in and was greeted by security. They made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. Thank You. Visited on 4/28/22.

We brought our 5 month old son here, at 7pm, due to very raspy breathing and a barking cough. They were practicing great social distancing in their facility and were very sweet and patient. It was about a 15 minute wait before being called for vitals and history leading to our visit. Afterwards, we were directed back to the seating area where we were advised we would be called back shortly to a private room, this wait was probably another 10 minutes. Obviously being at a hospital/ER with a little one isn’t always ideal or easy, we made the best of it. I made sure to bring a drink and some munchies because I’m realistic and understand hospital visits can take a while, so I advise, don’t let yourself fall victim to being hangry, just accept the inevitable and bring some things for yourself. They have cable to, so I also enjoyed some HGTV during my wait. During our 1 and a half in the private room, the Dr came in twice (very nice and concerned gentleman) and the nurse came in twice (also very nice and caring). We were visited by an X-ray tech who was able to do our scans there in our room, how awesome, thank you Alfredo (the only name I remember from our visit). Within I’d say 10-15 minutes, the images were available and the Dr came with the outcome. Another 15 minutes and we got our medicine and discharge paperwork. All in all a pleasant visit.
Again, please remember, hospitals are always busy, especially during these times. They are working as hard and fast as they can while needing to practice even more intense safety measures. If you have the opportunity, grab a few things for yourself and whomever else is going with you. Try to be understanding to the other situations which are occurring around you.

I had surgery with Dr. Wing on the 2nd floor in the ambulatory surgery center. I had never had surgery before and aside from one small mistake with a blown vein in my arm (not a big deal to me and it came with many apologies) I had a phenomenal experience. Everyone made me and my friend feel so cared for. They kept me informed and comfortable from the beginning til the end. They were all so friendly. And they kept my friend informed of my progress and checked in on him to make sure he was doing okay while waiting, too. We both felt so good about the experience. I was so nervous, rightly so, but they made the experience so memorable for all the right reasons. Thank you Dr. Wing, Angi, Amber and team!

Took my mom to the ER last night and we had a wonderful experience! The admitting representative Idell was very polite and nice! The triage nurse was very knowledgeable and they serviced us extremely fast! The doctor (Dr. Lori Givonetti) went over and beyond to make sure my mom was well before we left and I am forever grateful! The hospital has been renovated so it’s really nice and clean! I will definitely recommend this hospital! Thank you!

I simply want to say thank you from the deepest part if my heart to all of the staff here and the Sentara at Norfolk that saved my life. The compassion the staff here and Obici brings tears to my eyes. It's been over a month and I'm doing much better. I have color to my skin again. I'm active again. I feel better than I have felt in a long time. If I didn't get here when I did, I would be dead today. Not once did a doctor or nurse give up on me.

I've been to Belle Harbour for imaging and physical therapy and had positive experiences. We recently made a visit to the ER and were equally pleased. BH is large, clean, spacious and very professional. Staff was helpful and pleasant--even during this COVID pandemic!

This is like a hidden gem when it comes to Emergency Care. Every time I’ve been I seem to be in and out in under an hour. They hardly EVER have a wait and the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. This is only a Free Standing Emergency Department so they aren’t able to handle everything but, they have great communication with other hospitals and can get you transported quickly in the event of dire medical emergency

Sentara ER's apparently gotten much better since last time I visited. I was in and out in well under an hour. The entire process seems way more efficient than it used to be. The doctor I spoke to, who's name I forget but he was a younger guy, was one of the most knowledgeable doctors I've ever spoke to. Every question and concern I had for him he had an answer for off the top of his head as well as a detailed explanation, so I walked in with a lot of worries and left with none.

We always go to Sentara BelleHarbour.We love all the doctors and nurses here they have some of the best bed side care. We have took our son there since he was a newborn, if we had a emergency that couldn't wait till we could get a appointment with our primary doctor at Langley cause we are Tricare active Duty. I also have a Rare skeletal disease and even though they told me straight up they didn't know about the disease which most doctors doesn't they got my pain level down as much as they could till I could get a appointment with my primary doctor..

Arrived at 0620 and saw that the center's hours were 0700-5:00 pm even though I was told to report by 0630.

Was very happy to see the doors were already open and I could wait inside the a/c office. Very pleasant experience getting an MRI and is close/convenient to my home in Western Branch, Chesapeake.

The nurses were great to my husband. Everyone was kind, nurses and doctors were especially considerate of my 6 month old son that had to tag along with us. I would ALWAYS reccomended this hospital

Extremely pleased with the lab. Brought in a complicated problem which was resolved efficiently and completely. Markesha was incredibly helpful, patient, and polite. She is a tremendous representative of Sentara!
