J. Mark Lawson, MD

Dr. Lawson is the reason I have my life back. I came to him as a very very very sick 22 year old and he completely changed my life. His dedication to my well being has far surpassed any doctor I have ever dealt with. In addition, Dr. Lawson diagnosed my ridiculously rare disease that none of the 9 doctors including John’s Hopkins and Duke could diagnose! Cherish who works for him is also the best. I can always count on her to answer my questions or just to call and check on me. I can talk to her on the phone and she can tell by just the tone in my voice how I’m doing. I read a review about Dr. Lawson not being compassionate and I just want to say that is the farthest thing from the truth in my case. Dr. Lawson has wiped many tears and held my hand every single time I needed it. He has shared personal stories and situations to meet me on my level and is always interested in my life not just my health. He used to tell me “Cassidy I’m going to get you your life back. I promise” and he did just that! If I could personally present Dr. Lawson with the best doctor ever award I would because he truly deserves it and I will NEVER be able to repay him for the life I have lived the last two years thanks to him!!!!!!

Dr. Lawson is wonderful. He is very compassionate and has definitely been very proactive with my condition. I have alot of faith in his ability.

I’ve had a couple of procedures with Dr Lawson and I’m seen by his Nurse Practioner. I’m very happy with both of them!

Dr. Lawson came in to see me before my colonoscopy to see if I had any concerns how I was feeling. He did a great job. Was on time and then came to see me after the procedure and talked with me. Very satisfied and happy with Dr. Lawson! The only reason he got a four is that I do not give fives!

My mother came to this Doctor alike 5 years ago with chronic stomach problems. Vomiting every day, nausea, etc. Dr. Lawson was extremely rude. Lack of any compassion or decency. Basically said it was all in my mother's head and should seek therapy. My father, who accompanied my mother, told Dr. Lawson (I'm paraphrasing) "Good job buddy, real professional way to handle the situation." After that, Dr. Lawson told my father they didn't have to pay their balance of $300-400. Never in my life have I ever heard of any Doctor telling a patient to not pay their balance.

Now, some years later, my mother is seeing Dr. Iyer Harish MD, who could not be more wonderful. The exact opposite of Dr. Lawson.

Dr. Lawson, this is not the military. You can't treat your patients like you did enlisted military members. For those who know nothing about Military Doctors, they treat their enlisted military patients like complete $hit. Treat your patients better Dr. Lawson and have your rude staff do the same. But you know what they say about leadership, the staff will only be as good as their superior, so don't expect much from Dr. Lawson's Office. A woman named Kansas who my parents spoke to often said she was an extremely kind and gentlewoman. I thank you for that Mrs. Kansas.

I pray that you, Lawson, or anyone you care deeply about, will get better treatment than you give your patients. And to the people reading this review, don't waste your time with this man. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Lawson is wonderful. Very good at what he does. Thorough, kind, extremely knowledgeable. He is worth the wait. However, the front desk and scheduling folks are about the rudest people I have had the displeasure of working with. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is insurance. Insurance before care. Insurance before finding out what ails you. They are RUDE beyond description, uncaring, NO empathy, and very text-book in their tone. It is flummoxing to me that these folks do NOT understand if there were NO PATIENTS, they would have NO JOB! They treat patients like the enemy camp. How dare we even come into their office. Patients are an inconvenience. I am really just sick and tired of being treated like this.
