William R Gaines Jr Veterans Memorial Park

It is a great place to go bring your family and friends. They have a beautiful playground for your grandchildren or your kids restrooms are available there's a tennis court you can do kayaking on the other side. If you're ever get a chance you need to come to the veterans Park you will really enjoy yourself. Charlotte county did a great job.

There are many cool things to see here! Kids are having a great time. 2 to 12 years old. has restrooms and very clean

This park is named for a Marine killed in the October 1983 bombing in Beirut. In addition to having monuments for first responders, veterans, an upcoming Beirut Memorial they have a wonderful children’s playground.

The William R. Gaines, Jr Veterans Memorial Park hosted the Military Services Memorial Ribbon Cutting. Over 500 guests, attendees and veterans from all Armed Forces enjoyed this incredible park. Take a moment to visit the Park and stand at each Memorial to reflect on the sacrifices of our Military and First Responders.

Great little park dedicated to one of our young Heroes. East end of the park has a playground, tennis courts and bathrooms. Middle entrance has monuments to military and first responders. West end has a small fishing area, picnic table and kayak launch area. Quiet park.

Caught a huge catfish here! Nice please to sit on the dock and relax

We love this park and go to it regularly. My son calls it the "army park" (dad was in the army). The equipment is new, safe and provides many educational opportunities. We also love to walk over to the dock and watch for fish jumping out of the water in the canal. The bathrooms are close by and clean.

This is a beautiful place to walk and breathe in the middle of the city.

Great park for kayaking and fishing. Also they have tennis courts and these really cool solar powered phone charging areas. I think it would be a nice place to have birthdays or picnics. The scenery is great. Very peaceful place in my opinion. They need more parks like this

The coolest kids park! My son loved it. Plenty of kids to play with. Only thing is I wish they had more shade

This park is absolutely beautiful- love how the different branches of the military are display in a playground. The only issues not enough adult sitting area. Only one bench and gazebo with table. It would be perfect if there were some shady benches for the adults. Maybe I’m the future they can add some. But over all great place! Kids loved it!

We love this park. My son is always ready to go. Very friendly children. No bullying or drama with parents. Very relaxing and beautiful park.

Nice sidewalks. Great playground for kids. Visited Veterans day for the 1st. time. Hope to see more picnic areas.

Very nice place to walk and play. They have a large playground, and on the opposite end of the park, they have a small launch for canoes and kayaks. They do have a bathroom and the have solar charging areas for your electronics. Check it out!

This was a great place. I'm sorry for all the people that are disrespectful on saying bad thing but one thing you should know it is a playground for the kids and for you to play with your kids. Shade for real people come on it is a War Memorial park. It's a place to have fun and freedom with your family that is what they fought for. Shame on you. They are doing the best they can to keep up with the place and all you can do is be ungrateful....

Beautiful park/playground. It is clean has lots of great slides and other wonders. Can tell you everything however my grandkids loved it ☺
