I read some reviews and hesitant to schedule, I am so glad I decided to go. First they got me in within a couple days for a ER follow up, everyone I encountered during my visit was extremely personable and kind. From the front office to the physician to the medical assistant. The doctor was very personable and attentive, he took his time and answered all my questions. I would recommend this office to anyone. But learn from my mistake lol he is in the 2 story building I parked on the wrong side and had to walk to his office with a busted knee. Highly recommend!

My husband and I love Dr. Hansell. He is a great surgeon and caring person. We dread the day he retires. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr Hansell as my back doctor for years. He is,a true professional took his time with me and has really helped me with conservative treatment when I have needed it. I trust Dr Hansell not only with my health needs but with my parents care as well!

Dr.Hansell not worth his title. He has the attitude that life is great for him. Don't waste your time, he's only in for money. After 3 procedures that didn't help he had the nerve to suggest the same one again. I became very suspicious of his real motivation. So I saw a different surgeon and eventually had a laminectamy.

I have no idea if this doctor is any good because I never got to see him. On my first appointment, he left me waiting for an hour after my scheduled time. I couldn't wait because I had to leave for another meeting. Stupid me, I decided to try again and rescheduled. Yet again, this inconsiderate doctor let me wait 35 minutes after my scheduled time. I told them to shred my records and left. HORRIBLE DOCTOR, HORRIBLE STAFF that have no idea how to run an office!

I would not recommend Dr. Hansell for the following reasons: I saw Dr. Hansell for the second time today, August 21, 2017. Prior to seeing Dr. Hansell, I saw another Associates in Orthopedics doctor, Dr. Braut. Before I arrived for my visit today, I knew the questions I was going to ask Dr. Hansell. I suspected he was not taking an active role in my care and I wanted to know if he was familiar with why I was seeing him. Did he know my case? What were my next steps?

The first question Dr. Hansell asked me was, when was the last time I saw him. I told him maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago. I'm not sure why he wasn't familiar with that information himself which led me to my next question.

I asked Dr. Hansell if he knew why I was there. Dr. Hansell wanted to know what I meant. I shared I was concerned about how he could help me if he wasn't familiar with my particular situation. He turned around to the computer and read back to me, "cream applied; and ultrasound." That information is from my most recent of 13 PT visits that I shared with the medical person in the examining room today.

It was clear to me Dr. Hansell had no idea if my problem was chronic or acute. He didn't know if there was an injury involved. He didn't know that I had a burst L4 fracture in 2011 that was surgically repaired with rods and screws. He didn't know I had L2-S1 vertebrae fused in 2011. He didn't know I had a CT scan in June 2017 or those results. He didn't know I had a myelogram recently or those results. How could Dr. Hansell have possibly helped me today?

I believe a doctor should take a few minutes out of their appointment day to refresh themselves with each patient's scenario. In my case, I had a bike injury June 8. I am now at 10.5 weeks and am still having a lot of pain. The first treatment was the prednisone pack--no relief. I have had cortisone shorts--no relief. I have had two different muscle relaxers--no relief. I have taken three different analgesics--nothing touched the pain. I have had 13 PT visits--some relief.

I'm concerned Dr. Hansell was so uninformed at my visit today that there was no way he was going to be able to help me or suggest next steps. After our brief conversation, Dr. Hansell informed me my visit was over and walked out of the room.

Dr Hansell is not what I would consider a good doctor. I'm looking for a doctor who participates with me in my care. Patients beware.

I will never go back to Dr. HANSELL!! Had a fall back in May, went to a surgeon in SC where I was visiting family. They put me in a cast/sling. I was told to follow up with my surgeon in FL. On June 17th to see Dr. Hansell to check it out. He felt it (it was broken in 2 places that I was told in SC). Dr. Hansell said to soak it in Epsom salts 3-4 times a day. Went for a second opinion and was told it healed incorrectly so now I have to have surgery, thanks to Dr. Hansell not taking a xray when I was there.

My appointment was cancelled twice by Dr. Hansell. His appearance was un-kept with dirty hair and old warn clothing; he was rude and continued to interrupt; the exam was quick without thought; he rushed from the room when I was trying to talk with him.
I would not recommend him to anyone!
