Mezcalito's Cocina & Tequila Bar

I loved that the music was at a reasonable volume lol so many Mexican restaurants play their music way too loud and you can't carry on a conversation. We started with chips and a trio of green salsa, red salsa and queso blanco. Then we had some made to order guacamole and some fried plantains which were both amazing. I ordered a Batida which was a delicious drink. For our entrees we had the brisket flautas, salmon flautas & birria tacos (the tacos weren't very good). The atmosphere was wonderful. The parking was ample. All in all we had a great time and look forward to coming back and trying more drinks and menu items.

I ❤ this place! The staff is AWESOME and the menu is as well. The selection is was impressive. They have you covered from pull pork, to beef, to brisket, to chicken and even vegetarian. The Poblano soup is so good.

Updated - I now go weekly or bi-weekly just to get the Poblano soup. They also have a new dessert that is DELICIOUS! It is called fruit something and it hit the menu in January 2024. 🥰🥳

Raul gave superb service great suggestion on specials and just all around positive energy the trio was great the brisket empanadas also a fave and on Mondays they have $10 pints of the house marg and it’s amazing

Went for dinner around 5 and had a great experience. Would definitely recommend the Dragonfly drink it was amazing!!!!!

We love Mezcalitos! Great food, service, location, and atmosphere. We love it so much we hosted our wedding reception here. The staff was helpful and accommodating during the reception. It was perfect. Highly recommend this place for a private party

The food was amazing especially for the vegetarians and vegans in our group. The food was tasty and served in a pleasant setting. Our server was very kind and attentive. Would definitely return

I absolutely LOVE coming here. Especially on Thursday to see Rae, My favorite Bartender and Riley my favorite Waitress and who can’t forget about Neil. He is the BEST!!! Great food and drinks. I like to keep an eye out for their specials too.

I always have an amazing experience when I visit this location. The service, food, drinks are always a delight. Most recently Sandra was our waitress and she patient, prompt and efficient while juggling multiple tables. There were never delays and was glad I got to share a meal with my family who was visiting.

This was a hidden gem! A pet friendly restaurant that catered to my beloved Goose. Set him up with a meal fit for a king. Great service, food and attention to detail. Well done Mezcalito’s!

We wanted to try something new. They had both indoor and outdoor seating.. We sat outside, it was a nice atmosphere. The tables were well separated. The staff was very nice and checked up on us frequently. Our food was amazing. Would come back again.

I love Mexican food and I would say this is the best I've ever had outside of Mexico. Everyone I've taken there (and there have been lots, including 16 at my birthday dinner) have agreed the food is phenomenal! I'm working my way through the menu and my current favorite is the steak and goat cheese quesadilla.

Update: My new favorite is the poblano soup. ❤❤. I also tried the goat cheese beet salad, I'd order it again. Can't stop my self from getting the trip as an app. Tend to find the cocktails on the lighter side of the pour.

Just WOW! Our waitress was Norma and she was the best! I’m vegan and had order the tofu tacos, fried. She saved me by letting me know that for the tacos to be vegan I need to change out the sauce and have the tofu grilled. Love me a knowledgeable waitress! The food was amazing and the drinks are * chefs kiss * will definitely be back again! Thank you again for your service Norma!

First impression was excellent. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed a flight of tequilas, several apps and three different tacos. Everything was excellent. Staff hit that great balance of attentive but also gave us enough space to enjoy our meal.

Awesome brunch menu! I had the Carne of letters with grilled chicken.... all I can say is OMG! The lemon ginger mimosa is amazing!
You can also get a mimosa flight of 4-5 different kinds of flavors. Just great!

Mescalito's is always a fun place to eat and drink. The owners are very personable and very friendly to all their patrons. I enjoyed the attention that they gave us during our meal.

The food tasted great and the drinks tasted even better. I've been to this restaurant twice and both times have been good experiences.

Cinco De Mayo celebration was really good! Great service, flavorful food, good drinks ( recommend the Dragonfly), and great atmosphere and DJ!! We have to come back.

This is a great place. The aesthetic is festive and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. The staff are attentive and the service is fast (by Grant Park standards). The food is nothing to complain about either, even with a somewhat limited lunch menu. They have a really nice patio, but it looks out on their parking lot. On the upside, they have a parking lot. Also, the establishment is pet friendly.

We came here Monday of this week and had Lola as our server! Her service was amazing!! She was attentive, informative by letting us of the specials and guided us through the menu as it was my girlfriends first time! We had a wonderful experience and the food is amazing! The atmosphere is perfect and we will definitely be back!!
