The doctors are incredible, and the staff is phenomenal. I have never experienced better care for my pets. I love that they do walk-ins, compared to other clinics that only take appointments. They have a pretty far out schedule for appointments- but it’s because they are an amazing team and popular for all the right reasons. The walk- in waits are so worth it, because i know my pets will be getting the utmost care and attention. They are transparent with the costs, and will (if asked for) give estimates for all the care necessary for my pets- so you know exactly what to expect. My cat and dog had such anxiety at my previous vet, I cannot express how calm and painless the transition has been to Charlotte Animal Hospital. I absolutely love them, and could not recommend them more.

They took care of my cat in his time of need. It was time for him to cross over into a peaceful existence. They were kind, informative, and loving. Dr. Norris is excellent.

I honestly love this vet. They have always been so kind and understanding of my animals and any of their needs. They’re very professional, and definitely don’t lack in empathy. I’ve come to them for a few years now and they have always consistently been amazing! I recommend them to anyone who asks me for a good vet.

I’m pleased to say that Toby (my dog) and I are extremely pleased with with his two vet doctors Dr Kimbler and Dr Norris who take thorough care of him and are very much looking out for any and all medical needs. The staff is extremely supportive and unbelievably loving to Toby which helps calm him down. I recommend Charlotte Animal Hospital to anyone that wants great care for their furbabies.

We had a great experience and highly recommend them. We are on vacation and our dog Finn cracked his dew claw. We brought him in right before they closed, unsure what to expect. The entire staff was friendly and immediately put us at ease. They took him back right away while I did the intake paperwork. Dr Kimbler came out after she examined him and gave a thorough explanation of her findings and proposed treatment. She not only answered all our questions but she even drew a picture of the nail. After the procedure, Dr Kimbler came out to update us on how it went, review the home care plan and again answered our questions. She gave us paperwork to give our vet to update Finn’s records. We were able to get his medications through them. We were impressed that while it was the end of their day, no one rushed us and took time to ensure we were comfortable. The entire staff from Taylor who checked us in, to the tech, to Dr Kimbler, was sincerely kind and friendly. Their pricing was very reasonable. We will not hesitate to use them again if needed. Port Charlotte is lucky to have them.

Zeus has been a patient at Charlotte Animal Hospital for all of his 8 years. I have always been more than satisfied with his care and treatment by the doctors as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. I trust CAH with Zeus and that is saying a lot.

I had a miserable, itchy dog and I walked in at around 4pm or later and they were able to see us without appt. or calling ahead. We only waited about 10 mins and the Dr was very helpful. We got her an allergy shot, flea meds for 6mo and 2 vaccines she was behind on,. It was about $350 for everything(a little higher than I expected) but I was happy with the visit and I outcome. I highly recommend this vet for your pets! (P.S. The photo is from that evening when the itching mostly stopped. She was exhausted from constant itching all week and apparently hadn't gotten any good sleep! She CRASHED!!)LOL

This is a friendly, professional top notch veterinary service! I have been taking my cats there for years and am extremely thankful for their caring help. I use a walker and cannot carry my cat inside. I call them when I arrive and they send a tech out to carry his cage inside.

It is so hard deal with a sick pet. They are family members who cannot speak up when something is wrong. I am so grateful that this clinic and in this case Dr. Moore was there to speak for my sick boy Tuxedo. He is an older cat and had an issue that surely would have taken his life. It took this awesome Dr about 10 seconds to put his finger on the problem. Tuxedo was out of time, there was no doubt that without quick action he would die. My boy survived an emergency procedure and got a second chance. The cost was more than my family could bear. The staff quickly came up with a solution we could more easily afford. They got to work and fixed Tuxy up. Within a few hours I was picking up my boy alive and doing well. The bill was for less than quoted. I get to have more time with a special part of my family due to the actions of this wonderful staff. I can't thank you all enough. You are all unsung heros. I can't even begin to tell you all how much I appreciate the care you gave our boy. The pets can't speak up but all people should recognize the awesome job being done by this caring and professional staff. Thank you so much. 5 stars is too few. Bravo 👏 👏 take a bow

Always a wonderful experience. I had a kitty with an infection. I come in as a walk-in and had a wait but a reasonable wait for a walk-in. The tech Raven checked on my kitty and had some concern with the high temp. The vet checked her out right away and fortunately it was just an infection and it’s being treated. Kitty is much happier but still recovering. I know if there are any setbacks or hiccups kitty and me will be treated with urgency, knowledge, honestly and kindness.

I would like to thank the staff of the Charlotte Animal Hospital for the compassion, care and professionalism during a very difficult time. They could not have been any kinder or more understanding to a total stranger walking through the door asking for help.

Everyone was experienced, professional, and polite and took wonderful care of my little girl. The only negative was the wait time. We waited in the car for over 3 hours. The care and service were wonderful. I left there feeling better about my sick little girl than before she was treated.

Called 8 other local vet offices first and no one had any availability, but this office accepted walk ins until 2pm. So grateful we came here, everyone treated us and our cat with kindness. Ultimately our cat had to be put to sleep, but even that process was handled with great care and compassion. They made a terrible situation a little bit less painful, and we are so grateful for that. Thank you.

My Cat who’s 9/10 months old became very ill for three days. When an animal is ill it is a difficult situation and stressful on the person taking care of them so attention spans and how one takes information and how it is dealt with can be a precarious situation for both care taker and providers. I was searching for a vet since 0430, that day and I found Banfield clinic, but they called me back at 0700 and told me they could not fit Banjo my cat in and wished me luck in finding an appointment. I searched for several hours and found Charlotte Animal Hospital. I made an appointment for 2 pm that day! However, my mistake was I clicked on June 20th instead of the May calendar in my haste I was desperate in trying to find him a doctor to assess him. Mind you my own vet (the animal clinic ) , was not able to see him either. I walked in to Charlotte Animal Hospital at 2 pm that same day and the receptionist/vet tech, told me what I did… I made the mistake of a June appt. And I was beside myself! So I explained as best I could what was happening and she let me stay and be a walk in. It was wall to wall people waiting and they all had dogs! My cat is 6-7 lbs, still a kitten and had perfuse bloody stool and was getting lethargic. I lost a 8 month kitten to FIP a year before after putting down my 17 year old cat the year before that and FIP basically killed my kitten in 24 hours & there’s no treatment in the USA for FIP. I spent 5 k trying to get medicine flown from Australia to the USA that gave a chance of survival. By the next morning I was euthanizing him to stop his suffering. FIP is devastating. I was heart broken from all that and didn't want another cat/kitten. I was okay without living with a animal in my home. I am an empty nester so no animals equals freed up time. Also I’m an ICU registered nurse of more than 25 years so when it comes to knowing when something is wrong, I know. I knew when a friend showed up with a 5 week old grey and white floof it was not in the cards for me to be floof free. So I took on little 1/2 feral Banjo and he grew and did great with a few exceptions. Banjo eats everything, chews everything he can put in his little mouth, I have never had to kitten proof a home but for this one I do bc he’s like a 3 year old and gets himself into sticky situations! Banjo likes, 1.Attacking my ceiling fan: on high, medium, or low (preferred attack speed), relentlessly, on daily basis, after scaling a 10 ft bed rail. 2. Eating feathers whole from a cat toy he destroys. 3. Eating paper or cardboard or plastic ( add trying to swallow a water bottle cap, periodically) 4. Chewing, knawing, electrical string lights. 5. Sticking himself into small paces that he does not belong but he is like an octopus that can manipulate and contort his body into incredible spots you would think he could not. So I thought maybe he had obstruction in intestines and whatever he got down his little pie hole, was tearing him up on the inside. Could have also been: A lizard, a spider, or a insect that may be dangerous for him to digest, something not meant for eating, or he got injured when I was not home. The list in my head went on and on like this review. But I explain this for context. The Vet assistant let me place myself as a walk in and I knew I would wait awhile but at least he’d get seen. Call it traumatization, but if something’s wrong more then 24 hours and I, whom have had animals all my life and am in the human medical field all my adult life, can’t fix the situation after two days, it is immediate, I take my animal to a vet. I waited keeping Banjo away from other animals incase he had something contagious. About 1600 I was inside a vet exam room with Banjo. They took Banjo to get weighed and examined. The vet came in a little while later explaining what she believed he had. He is 3 days into his 7 day course of antibiotics and his eating, bathroom habits, and playfulness have all returned to peak levels! I cannot thank the staff and the vet enough for all they have done at Charlotte Animal Hospital! Thank you!

Charlotte Animal Hospital provided my dog with outstanding care. Dr. McCracken was very kind and knowledgeable. She took the least invasive course first, and it worked! All of the staff was kind and helpful. We hope we don’t have another emergency, but if we do we will come here!

I brought my dog in as a walk in due to appointments being fully booked. My experiences have always been good but when you do a walk in, in my case, it was concern over my dog being ill. The desk associates were so sweet, Taylor even brought my pup some water as we waited. Bri, the tech was so kind and managed my dog in such a sweet, caring way. I missed the name of the doc but she was patient, kind, and confident my dog would be ok (she was right by the way! Butterbean is doing great) I am so thankful for the care of everyone at the hospital.
