Went to the drag show for the first time for my birthday and had a blast! It was so much fun and it was my first “big bar” experience. Food was great, drink was great (I’m not a big drinker, fishbowl drink was so good), the “queens?” were so much fun and came up to my family to talk for a bit. Highly recommend going here and will definitely want to come back! 10/10!

We were welcomed with open arms pretty early in the evening after struggling to find a place to go on a Saturday evening- I haven't been out in years. My friend ordered a fishbowl and its so adorable I had to snap a picture. Great music, beautiful people (inside and out), and a safe space. Food was fun and entertaining. The entertainers we on point and amazing. Thanks for making my night out fun and enjoyable.

This was so fun! I wish I lived here so I could do this more often!

Everyone was really cool and made sure everyone knew what the rules were and what was up. I only had one drink, but it was really good. My gf had a couple and they both tasted really good. We ordered food and it came out so fast! The food was good, I had the chicken fried steak, which also came with eggs and a biscuit. I was definitely full enough that I didn't want to ask my gf if she was gonna finish her waffle.

The show was AWESOME. Everyone was such an amazing entertainer, it made for a great time! I was kind of nervous because I've never really been to something like this before, so I felt rather out of my element, but once it got started I had a blast.

The venue is small, but that means no bad seats! And all the performers were great, a few talked with us before the show started so that we had kind of a one on one on how things worked. If you want more to eat or drink, you can raise your hand to alert staff and they'll take care of you. They have 2 bathrooms, which were all gender bathrooms. The one I went to had one stall and 2 or 3 urinals. There's also a patio for smoke/vape breaks. They also have a cash exchange so you can get ones to tip performers, including bundles of 20. You can get up and exchange for more during the show or at intermission.

I would 1000% do this again, I wish I could see the lip synch battles and other events!

Love this place! Amazing gay bar, fantastic and fun shows like comedy shows and drag shows, beautiful outdoor patio in the bar, plenty of seating, 2-3 bars, and the silent disco downstairs is one of my FAVORITE things to do in Salt Lake City, hands down. The bartenders and fun and they have a crazy and fun drink menu. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We frequently go to Sunday brunch and decided to try something new! We’ll definitely be back for another drag show. The chicken fried steak was so good. The gravy was even better. The drink menu is massive and the service was great!

Since WHYKIKI opened I have attended dozens of Drag Shows and special events. The atmosphere, food and service have always been amazing. I have been to Drag Shows in multiple countries and cities around the world and can honestly say I have seen the best shows here in SLC, Utah at WhyKiki.

There have been a couple of times I made errors on reservations for Sunday Drag Shows and the management has been more than accommodating.

The bar and wait staff do a great job even on their busiest days! During Pride Week I have gone to WhyKiki the last two years, even though I had to wait in line longer than usual I was still able to get drinks pretty quickly!

Food is typical bar food, except the amazing puns included in the names and their waffles and pound cakes. Ah-mazing. Also love all the different events hosted here, but mostly the incredible support and inclusion this places offers. I love the shows and the representation. Can’t wait for more!

Wow! This place was fun. the comedy show and drag show were not full at the beginning, but the underground silent disco was INSANE. It was my first time doing something like that but I had such a blast. Food was also decent for a bar venue.

Super friendly staff, the drag show was AMAZING, and there were other fun areas to explore! We checked out the DJ on the patio, and the silent disco in the basement after the drag show, and had a fabulous time!!

With the Closure of Bottoms Up, the city lost a truly unique venue. However, clearly Randy Oveson was not to be DENIED!!! Randy opened up Why KiKi on 1st South just off of Main on May 1, 2021. The bar has some cool island based decor items including a tribute to One-Eye’d Willy in the back patio. Speaking of the patio, what a cool spot, gravel lined, the patio continues the island motif outside for folks to relax and connect. Inside there is your (anything but) normal bar areas. One of these contains a stage that supports a variety of events and acts hosted at Why KiKi. There are also several small private areas for small groups to enjoy. On Sundays KiKi serves up a delicious brunch and one of a kind Drag Show. Our group descended upon the servers Claudia, and Eli like a bunch of vultures. They did a great job pouring Pink Starfish, fishbowls and a full array of local beers and keeping up with the demand. We want to thank
Randy again for being such a great host.

This is a gay bar!!!! I have frequented many many many gay bars so no biggie for me. But I should have done more digging into this place BEFORE taking people who do have issues with it. Again just a heads up somewhere on the front page of their web page would be nice. So you know what you are walking into.
