The Island Grille & Raw Bar

We came here for dinner around 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night and sat outside. The restaurant wasn't that crowded. As a result our appetizer, salad and entree all came out within ten minutes. It was fine because it was late and we were hungry, but next time we would ask them to space it a little bit.

Our server Brooklyn was very good and made sure our orders didn't pose any issues with the food allergies we told her about.

The grouper crab cake appetizer was delicious. The entrees came with two sides and we chose a house salad and steamed broccoli. Everything was very fresh and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. The scallops wrapped in bacon with barbecue sauce were terrific, and ditto for the grilled shrimp. The brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert was amazing.

Portions were generous and prices were very reasonable. They don't accept reservations for parties less than 13, so it's first come, first serve. Probably a good idea to call ahead to see how crowded the place is.

This is a nice casual waterfront restaurant (we were dropped off at their dock after a boat ride) with tasty food. Perfect for an evening of casual dining. We will definitely return the next time we vacation in the area.

I loved eating here! Fun, laid back atmosphere with a pool out back of the restaurant, docks as well; it's a great place to watch activities. 2 bars, one outside and one inside. A Tiki bar outside. A great menu! Raw bar, awesome oysters!! I enjoyed a Skinny, Spicy Margarita. Lots of parking, there's even an Osprey watching over your vehicle while you're dining. I totally recommend this eatery, especially if you love oysters 🦪

We were driving by looked up for a water front restaurant, found them. Asked the waiter for help with their good food, he suggested Bayou Bowls, I ordered it with a banana split drink, both were wonderful. It was just enough for both of us, although we eat less quantities, I am still enjoying the drink while writing this.

Great time great live band we came in a group of 14 and fast service. We came in our 70ft Viking and the dock hand was on point and helped us tie up quickly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend

I had the time of my life here!! First, the food is magnificent! I was with a big party and we ordered an item from every category. The fish is very fresh! I had the lobster sliders and they were fantastic! I also ordered a mango run punch and then had to order another it was so delicious! During lunch, they had a live music performance, which was excellent and really added to the experience. Our party arrived here by boat, which was really fun! After lunch, we relaxed in the outdoor pool. A wonderful experience from start to finish! I am excited to visit again!

There are a multitide of ways to enjoy this gorgeous venue. There is an inside bar, 2 outside bars, an oyster shucking bar, 2 indoor dining areas, an outdoor dining area and best of all; for $5 at the yacht club next door, full use of the pool facilities with a walk up counter for food and drinks at the Grille. Sensational ambiance and flexibility.

I have come twice for the Taste of the Beaches event and in both cases the best ambiance of all participants and some of the best food for your ticket. No skimping on food, full servings for your taste ticket. Substantial and delectable cuisine every time.

About a 40 minute drive from N. Tampa and you can switch to vacation mode for the day. Live music or DJ music is available on certain days and hours for your enjoyment. Service has always been friendly, helpful and engaging. The oyster guy gave a big, plump and luscious oyster to taste for free. I love this place!

Next time I have guests in town, this is my destination. There is a Residence Inn next door should you want to stay the night and it has a sensational view of Tierra Verde on the 7th floor rooftop bar. This is an impressive bucket list destination when your ready for a remarkable experience.

Great place to chill on the patio with your pup 🐶 while you have a drink and some great food. I had the lobster 🦞 😋 Mac N Cheese 🧀 😋 and it was a great portion size for the price, my wife had the blackened salmon 😋 with broccoli 🥦 as a side. They promptly brought us ice waters and a bowl of ice water for Jack before even taking our order. All our food was excellently made and our drinks were well made. We will definitely eat here again 😋.

We sat outside. Only a pool view. Lots of good choices for food and drinks. I'd go back. Dogs are allowed on the patio ... but you have to go inside to get to the patio.

Took a group of 20 ladies for lunch on Tuesday. We were seated immediately outside on a gorgeous FL Spring day. Our waiter was great and very personable. The ladies all agreed that the Bartendar made the best mixed cocktails, too! Now to the delicious food. Oh my, everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals from oysters, lobster sliders, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, salads & more. Easy to find and easy parking too! We will be back. We really want to try the early bird dinners. I enjoy weekend afternoons here with live music, too. We hit 5 stars here as it is not the easiest thing to impress all 20!

Nothing fancy. Decent food, service and atmosphere though. Plenty of options that aren't fried. I recommend the mahi mahi appetizer but personally not the salmon. Also i have them make a blackened chicken poboy which is great and I've had others ask me what i ordered when they see it because it looked good. I enjoy their coleslaw because it's not sweet. I recommend the raspberry cheesecake as well.

Grouper Reuben was working well. Loved the scallops and the strawberry horseradish sauce and the crab cake and the brussel sprouts. Roasted peppers with highlight of the calamari. Highly recommend dining poolside - the even had heat.

Next trip we had grouper sandwich after half Marathon at Fort DeSoto. Still a 5 star outdoor dining experience.

Haven't been here in a while, but decided to check it out. It was very busy, but found a couple of seats at one of the outside bars. Service was great, got our drink order in right away. We started with the char-grilled oysters with butter, garlic, and parmesan. They came out hot and bubbly and were very tasty (not quite as good as the ones at the Acme Oyster House, if you know that restaurant). I was a little disappointed that there was only one piece of the grilled bread for six oysters though, but not a big deal. Our entrées were a fried oyster basket and the spicy poke bowl. Both were very good. The oysters were fresh and nicely battered. Another 20 seconds in the fryer and they would have been perfectly crispy. The poke bowl had a lot of fresh tuna and was very good. We did ask for another side of the spicy sauce and it was promptly delivered. Again, service at the bar was on top of everything. Will definitely not wait so long to go back!

This is a fantastic place to eat in paradise. Tierra Verde is beautiful and provides great views. I strongly recommend their lobster Mac and cheese, and their oysters here are great. It’s a little pricey, but that should be expected when you’re in this area. You can even bring your own fish here too!

Had three seafood dishes and they were all delicious and very fresh. Fish gets delivered daily apparently. Also dog friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

My girlfriend and I love coming here. It’s my parents favorite restaurant as well. Great food and great service in a comfortable atmosphere with very reasonable prices. I had the panko crusted swordfish and chicken wings tonight. Both of which were phenomenal!

Wanted to send a shout out to Anna Kate (AK) our server. She was friendly, efficient and fun. We were in a party of ten, and everyone had a pleasurable experience. Food was good.
And we loved Scot Sinclear, the musician that evening. Great song list and performed great. There were only a few tables filled on the patio as it was very chill, us Scot played like it was a packed house.

Delicious! Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. He helped us ultimately decide what our party of 3 were going to order because we were all stuck on 2 different things on the menu. Everything just looked so tasty! Lol. I got my usual oysters (I MUST order Delicious raw Oysters every time I go out to a seafood spot 🤣🤣) and I tried swordfish for the first time and ughhh it was soooo good! My two friends got the shrimp pasta and that was amazing as well! We will be returning, most definitely!

Anna Kate was our server tonight…she was spectacular! Such a great demeanor, a breath of fresh air!!! We loved the new menu… haven’t eaten here in A while but now will be back more often. I had chicken tacos… excellent, also burger was great!! We really loved all the additions to the menu since the last time we were there but honestly, Anna Kate made it such an enjoyable dinner. My other half likes to joke around and she took it with a smile and with witty comebacks… I loved that. Great night out!!

Really great restaurant with delicious food.. i had a beef dip with fries.. fries are big cut and seasoned to deliciousness.. husband had the pork chop, it was huge and delicious! Waiter was really nice too..we Will definitely be eating there again

Great place! We brought in our own fresh catch and the kitchen staff knocked it out of the park!! We had our catch prepared a number of way including frying up a couple of whole fish one Mango Snapper and one Yellow Tail.. and man on man was it good! Thanks to the staff, from the waiter to the Chef that came out to talk about how we wanted the fish cooked, to the manager that stopped by to check on us! Great meal! Thanks again we will be back next time we visit!
