American Thrift Stores Lake Worth

I don’t understand some of these horrible reviews. I, on the other hand, am a vintage and antique luxury reseller. I can tell you that I have LOTS of fun weekly treasure hunting in here. It’s hit or miss (part of the hunt) but that’s how all thrift stores are but honestly the store finds deliver for me, nearly every time! The prices can be slightly high on certain things which makes me wonder how they do their research… junk seems to be priced high and worthy items low a lot of times. They should just price to sell because if not, stuff piles up in there and the items get ruined as the days go by and they probably end up trashed. Price it well and sell it! :) Also, a suggestion, please stop writing with a marker on porous surfaces, like fabric and wood. We cannot remove that. Please, also try to use cellophane or saran-wrap to hold items together… I bought a Dorothy Thorpe footed candy dish and this designer is known to put a sterling silver band around the rim… I literally cried when I went home and removed all their tape. It had removed most of the silver and they don’t take returns. I will bring it in to show you guys. Please please stop this. I, on the other hand, think they are VERY nice, not rude, and so sweet, however. They do get frustrated though when it’s closing time and people are still shopping… who wouldn’t be upset though?? They want to go home, wouldn’t you???

Love this thrift store! So happy they opened a location near me. I always leave with a bag full of clothing. Wish they would add a student discount day :)

Always a great time at American Thrift even if I don't find something I love that day. Great prices! I have been able to update my wardrobe with designer clothes with very little spent. Love the different tag color sales. Great staff who are kind and work so hard!

I really enjoy this store, more than any other resale stores, and have found great deals on so many things. That being said I'm inquiring on where the store sales profits are being allocated. What organizations are benefitting and how?

I'm so glad I don't actually live in Florida because I would come here on a weekly basis without hesitation. I've never seen a thrift store with so much name brand - though that does mean that name brand product will come with a price - but I'm completely satisfied with everything I found clothes wise. I didn't do any other shopping elsewhere, but this place gets 5 stars from me. Anyone we requested help from helped us, and the lady that checked us out was a sweetheart. Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area.

Ok store, parking was atrocious my son was a little freaked out about the stuffed guys. overall decent experience. Ball-pit was fun. also the clothes were reasonably priced and comfortable!

Loved this American Thrift as I normally go to the other one in West Palm Beach! I found SO MANY amazing deals as did my mom! The prices can not be beat and neither can the quality! I honestly can not wait to go back on a day that’s less busy. I would add if you are in a rush or want to barrel up and down the isles this may not be the place for you as there are patient shoppers just filling their carts with no worry in their way! Have some patients and enjoy the bargains!!

We all should be lucky to go to all of American thrift locations, the goodies are endless for unbeatable prices,if an item is high priced its behind the counter and it's cheap compared to getting it somewhere else. I wish American thrift was worldwide so everyone can experience what I have, and all the staff rocks no complaints at all besides watch your stuff 😉

American Thrift (all locations) have become my favorite thrift store to shop at. They have the lowest/reasonable prices of any thrift store in the area.Their selection is fantastic and well organized! Ive seen reviews about the drink and bag policy.... Drinks are not allowed to prevent spills or ruining inventory. Large bags/Backpacks are not allowed to prevent theft.

I’ve been here several times and it’s honestly my favorite thrift store. It may not be the most organized but considering how much merchandise they have, they do a pretty good job. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I don’t expect much from thrift stores because they can only be as good as the merchandise they receive, but this store has not disappointed me. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Just stopped by Goodwill in the same plaza to drop off donations. Told rather rudely that donations must be brought to the back of the building. Walked out and headed to American Thrift Store and quite politely was told I could leave my donation by the front desk, walked out with a receipt, given thanks and to have a nice day. Goodwill won’t get any more of my stuff.

I'm not a thrift store person. At least not until I happened upon American Thrift. I have become a regular. They've only been open at this location for about three months. I've gotten designer handbags; beautiful rug for the living room, a crystal angel candleholder, a true, crystal pitcher like my mom had back in the day, hard to find DVD's, patio chairs with the pillows. You get the idea. My friends are now coming, like me, from miles away.

I'm a big man @ the moment & I found a few Callaway brand new XXL golf shirts that sell in golf pro shops for $60, & paid $5! I told the store mgr. QUEEN DIANA that I was havinga tough time finding 48 inch waist golf shorts. She took the time out of her hectic afternoon to go the extra mile & look to see if she could find any. SHE ISSO NICE & ACCOMODATING. I WILL NEVER SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE.

Had never even heard of it before today.Pricing all over the place.No Rhyme or Reason.But with patience and a little bit of time some amazing bargains.Staff stupendous,especially Juan Carlos and the jewelry young lady in black glasses.Returning

Love this thrift store. I am a long time thrifter. Better than Goodwill. I go for the books (large selection), handbags and shoes and miscellaneous items. Go on Wednesday for 50% off for seniors.
