Taste of India Restaurant and Bar

What a delightful and authentic meal. Decided to dine here with a friend. We both shared a goat and lamb meal, ordered it spicy. It certainly had a kick to it, and boy was it flavorful. We also tried the chicken samosa, along with the calamari as appetizers. The mozzarella naan bread was delicious as well. We certainly had more than we could eat, and leftover containers were needed for the door. Our server was new, but was informative about questions we had. Very friendly, and prompt. I will definitely have to come back on my next visit to Savannah.

The food is spectacular here. My husband and I have visited several times and the food is consistently delicious. Reasonably priced for what you receive. Servers are always friendly. Expect spending about an hour when dining here.

Friendly people, the owners are awesome. Went to restaurant while it was close but still they let us in to order from bar and eat in their restaurant because we had kids along. 👍

I was dumbfounded by reading one of the reviews about the waiter. I was glad that I didn't judge the restaurant based on one bad review, and decided to eat there. We were served by the same waiter. He was very polite, and he had a great sense of humor. My husband and I really enjoyed the entire staff, especially the young lady who went an extra mile whenever we had any questions about any of the items. We made many trips to enjoy "Authentic Indian Food" during our stay in Savannah, Georgia.

After a somewhat up and down past Taste of India is back on our regular rotation. My husband and I have been coming to Taste of India (on and off) for years. Things started off great, then went downhill for a while (we stopped going for a couple years because of the decline) and now it is way better again. The excellence in food and service has returned. We always look for Ricky when we arrive - he indulges our sometimes unusual requests and keeps everything on track with our meal and drinks - (and he does so in a pleasant and efficient manner). Since returning I've been impressed with whatever dish I order. Any time I try something new (generally after asking Ricky to recommend something) I find it's something new to love. Currently Taste of India is our go to for Indian food and we recommend it to our friends. Be sure to ask for Ricky! You won't be disappointed!

My family and I love this place. It's kid-friendly, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and it's the most authentic Indian that we've found in the Savannah area. They're great about changing the level of spicy in the dishes too, to fit your palate. Highly, highly recommend!

The Chef at Taste of India is absolutely fantastic - to work with and the dishes he makes. Not only did they take a large catering order with barely any notice, he offered great suggestions, explained everything, delivered it perfectly and even set it up for us. Everything about the entire experience from customer service to the actual food itself was fantastic - I could only wish we saw more of this in the service industry. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This restaurant has the best Indian food in Savannah! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasing. The daily lunch buffet is only a small sample of the quality of the items on the menu. You definitely won't leave hungry.

Indian food is my favorite, this was our first time here and it did not disappoint! The cream cheese and garlic Naan was amazing paired with the mixed pickle. My only problem was trying to decide what to get as everything sounded so good! This is absolutely our new favorite spot!

Our last meal there last night what excellent and the ambience great. The chef did a great job of Indian cuisine and the new arrangements in decor improve the ambience. The problem has always been consistency. Hopefully the current chef will remain. Sometimes the entire scene is bad and sometimes excellent. Consistency seems to be lacking up to this point but on our last visit we were pleasantly surprised. We had debated whether to go there or not due to a disappointing prior experience but we're really glad that we did go once again.

The food here is great. Best Indian cuisine I’ve had within 200 miles. The owners came out and greeted us and the staff is very polite and friendly. They also have a late night bar with live music on weekends. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great and fun experience 👍

Wow! Just ordered take out from Taste of India in Savannah, and IT WAS FANTASTIC! In my opinion, they are the best indian cuisine in Savannah! Not only was the food amazing, but the customer service was great! I can't wait for my next visit!

I don't know if they have a new cook, but the last few times we've ordered, the food has been amazing! It was good before, but it is great now. The ingredients and quality of the dishes are much better now. They seem to be made with more thought and care. Keep it up!

I've eaten Indian food all over the East Coast and this is by far the best Indian that I've had. The atmosphere is very Indian, but when they say spicy, they mean SPICY. I've been eating spicy food all my life, and the Indian Style Chicken (I requested it very spicy) was so hot that I began hyperventilating and had to go outside (very good flavor, by the way). If someone who isn't used to extreme heat would pass out. The naan is fresh and crisp and the rice is good.

Food is great but the online ordering system with Uber needs to be reviewed when it arrives. The order was messed up by Both the restaurant and Uber. After several attempts with both to fix the issue, the owner personally drove out to correct everything.

We order from here often and enjoy the food a lot. Will will return in the future and appreciate what to owner did to correct the issue.

We love the saag and okra dish. The butter chicken has more of a chicken tikka flavor profile but they are both great.

My boyfriend booked this restaurant for my birthday.This place is really in a beautiful setting.The food was incredible and the tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and chatty, and also the manager. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will come back there soon and eat our fave food again.

When it comes to Indian cuisine, Taste of India is simply the best! I highly recommend anyone who loves or is curious about Indian food to go to this restaurant and you will not be disappointed. Also, the service is second to none! Myself, my Family and my Friends had a great time!

Came to today for the buffet with my family and our experience was brilliant. The food was amazing. I had the bhindi do piazza and my wife had the veggie korma. The fresh naan was hot and not too much butter. We highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian food.

We placed a large order to take away. We selected the lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. We also ordered aloo and paneer as appetizers, and of course their delicious homemade naan from their Tandoori Oven.

The order was delivered on time and correctly. Everything was piping hot and absolutely superb! The service was genuine and they were so helpful. The entire order was put on a trolley and brought out to my car! I was so impressed with their service and their willingness to go the extra mile as it was a very hot and sticky day and they didn't really need to go outside.

The chef creates authentic Punjabi dishes from the north of India. He truly is masterful! I believe everything is made from scratch and seasoned to the diners request. I give it five stars and five diamonds!

I was craving Indian food and wasn't honestly expecting much. My bf and I were pleasantly surprised with this place. The decor was interesting and more than we expected. The service was great and the food was beyond any other Indian I've had in GA. I was really happy with my Paneer Butter Marsala and garlic naan. My only downside, we had several servers which was somewhat confusing. Also, the menu was expansive. It was impressive.
