If you're looking to lose weight or just get in shape. You can't beat the Physical Culture Gym. The food plans and the workouts are the best I have ever come across.

Special thanks to Ken, Michael, and Silvia for helping me reach my goal.

My results after 6 weeks are truly amazing. I started the challenge at 224.4 lbs and after 6 weeks i'm 198.4. Lost 26 lbs and feel better than I have in a long time.

If you're looking for a gym. You found one. Physical Culture Gym

I cannot rave enough about Physical Culture Gym! I decided to sign up for their 6 week challenge on a whim. Something needed to change, and this just showed up on my feed at the right time.

I knew right off the bat that this place would be a good fit for me. I did not feel rushed or pressured but instead feet welcomed and encouraged to try something new and to push my limits a little. The staff was friendly and informative. Sylvia, who became my accountability coach, took the time to answer all my questions and made it easy to decide to take a leap of faith.

Classes were easy to sign up for and coaches were wonderfully supportive. Even though these were classes, they were still able to offer the level of individualized support and modification necessary to help me succeed.

Throughout my journey, there was nothing but continued encouragement by coaches and members alike. This gym is truly like no other and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to push themselves. Try them out, and I guarantee you'll come out better than when you first walked in the door. I know I did!

I absolutely love these classes and have learned a tremendous amount from Mike and Ryan, especially on the weight training and kettlebells! They are excellent with tailoring to individual needs. Although teaching is a hobby for me, not my career, I am a 1000 hour certified Vinyassa and Hatha yoga teacher and teacher trainer,, ACSM certified in the early 90s, teach cardio dance, am a high level USTA tennis player, and dance isalsa, west coast swing and other dances along with many years of ballet, modern and jazz. Ryan and Eric’s classes are a fantastic workout and have really helped my tennis as well as provided ideas for my own teaching . They are really excellent and cannot be compared with coaches from larger commercial gyms. They take knowledge of fitness to the highest degree! Highly recommend!!!

A few years ago I was full of energy and wearing a size 2. After getting pregnant with my beautiful baby girl, I found myself with all the challenges of a new mom. I didn’t have a lot of time or energy to eat properly and got up to a size 8.

With a new toddler on the run I knew I had to do something to keep up with her and get back into feeling like myself.

I found this advertisement for a gym in largo called Physical Culture on Facebook. I was skeptical but after reading some of the testimonies felt optimistic they could help me.

I am so glad I made that step and schedule my apt. I instantly fell in love with the owners and their daily operation. Physical Culture offers a 6 week challenge to help get you on the right track, which includes a selection of hour long classes throughout the day. They even include a nutritional guide with recipes! The coaches are super supportive and encourage you to strive for your goals.

I didn’t have a set goal weight when I started because for me it was all about how I felt physically and being a better mom. This program exceeded my expectations and allowed me to feel stronger. I am now able to keep up with my daughter with ease and I am currently a size 4!

I signed up for the 6 week challenge and I absolutely loved it! I pretty much became addicted to going to the gym and not in the bad way. I just became a happier, healthier version of myself because of this place! The coaches here are awesome; very knowledgeable and helpful! I love that even though they had a lot of students they pay attention to each one; coaching, assisting and pushing us to be a little better each class. If you are considering trying it out, do it! You won't be sorry!

I signed up at this gym for a 6 week challenge on a whim from an ad on Facebook.

I have had a rough time losing weight and sticking to any form of "diet". I have joined gym after gym over the years and have never EVER stuck to it for more than maybe 2 weeks? I am now on my 8th week of going 4 times a week and I absolutely LOVE it. I am completely addicted to these classes. The coaches are awesome and have helped me tremendously. They pay attention to my form and they make it fun! I leave every single day sweating my butt off but feel AMAZING.

The best part is that I can SEE a huge difference in my body. I am sleeping better.. my energy is much higher and I am just generally happier.

Could not recommend this gym more.

I have worked out at many gyms with different styles of programming over the years and I can honestly tell you that I am so happy to have found Physical Culture Gym and that I decided to do the free mobility screening and first work out. I will be a member for life. I look forward to every workout with this great community of people.

I am very impressed with the professional level of service coach Michael and coach Ryan provide and their knowledge of fitness. They are attentive and make sure everyone is doing exercises and movements to their skill levels. Even in a group class with multiple people of all skill levels I feel as though I have a personal trainer who knows me, my limitations, my strengths and is working to push and challenge me to safely improve my skills.

I am learning so much about using good form and utilizing my muscles properly. under their instruction, my strength and mobility is coming back and better than ever after suffering a couple minor working out related injuries (while at a different gym, lower back and tennis elbow).

Thank you Sylvia, Michael and Ryan for all that you do.

This place is exactly what I was looking for! Physical Culture Gym is a facility that can help people at all levels of fitness and movement. My personal goal was to improve my mobility, so I have taken the Kinstretch classes and have made tremendous improvements in my range of motion within a short period of time. While taking the classes, I have seen gyms members who have ranged from high-level athletes to elderly people who want to still move around at a high level. The entire staff knows all the members by their first names and the staff also consists of several very experienced and successful strength and conditioning coaches. Very reasonable prices and convenient location.

As a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer I would trust both Michael and Ryan with any patient. I joined the gym blindly only knowing the names through a classmate who is also in PT school. I only have great things to say about the two and the gym. Each day I go in, I learn something new from whom ever is coaching me while getting a killer workout. They are true professionals who know how to modify workouts to each individuals abilities or around current injuries that an individual may have. The gym also provides many unique group classes that are fun and challenging. If you are looking to improve your performance as an athlete or just overall fitness these two get the job done plain and simple. Do not hesitate joining this gym because you will get top notch coaching and the results you are looking for.

I took a chance and signed up for Physical Culture's 6 week challenge. I can honestly say, they surpassed my expectations! No gym offers trainers and an environment like they do. It's way more than just a gym.
My first impressions from my consultation with Sylvia made me feel comfortable and important. She made sure my personal goals were understood and was very thorough when asking about my strengths and weaknesses. (pertaining to any past injuries and movement restrictions.) My first week in classes wasn't awkward in the slightest. I was pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness of the trainers. They have a vast knowledge of technique and form and enjoy answering questions. Each and every one of them has their own unique teaching style and It makes for an enjoyable class. 1 hour classes FLY by!
By my second and third week I was signing up for 2 or 3 classes in a row, 3 or 4 days a week.
I joined to lose weight and lost 7% body fat, 15lbs!
So whether your looking to lose weight, gain muscle, sports training (youth or adult), or learn the variety of martial arts they offer, you'll probably find yourself like me and doing it all.
Is training suppose to be fun? Cause its sure is when I'm here.
If your reading this and considering joining the family and bettering your life, please dont hesitate. I'd love to welcome you myself when you come to class. It's just what we do here at Physical Culture.

Great gym , trainers/coaches , atmosphere.
Starts from the beginning - walking through the door to welcoming people smiling ready to help improve your life. Like many others I’ve been to lots of other gyms and attempted to do things on my own to save money or because I thought I knew it all.. man have I been wrong ! I took the chance here and it paid off ! The technique and style in which you learn is like no other .. the trainers/coaches/ owners are truly there to help & support you ! I’ve never once witnessed a negative interaction or awkward situation. They ensure that the environment is always a 10/10.
Regardless of the class being 20 people or 4 people the coaches are still teaching and pushing you the same way, making you feel great along the way. This is the best I’ve felt in years and years! Initially I thought there is no way I’m paying this to workout ... but I can honestly say the experience I’ve had for the 6 weeks has blown away expectations & I will be continuing to build @physical culture . Can you really put a price on your short term & long term health ? NO you can’t stop making excuses and start the journey.

Thank you all

This is truly an establishment with high quality professionals who understand training with the proper range of motion, staying in a pain free range, but also pushing you to get stronger, faster, have better mobility, and improve your health.

The class settings allow you to push yourself and be motivated by your peers and there are paces for every stage of athletic ability. I've seen professional athletes walk through the doors and people who are new to exercise, in either circumstance they are warmly met and well received as long as they are coming through the door with a positive attitude and a will to work out. Also the ability to schedule out your classes online makes planning and accountability easier.

While I've only been back in the gym for a short time, the energy here is addicting and I am enjoying every facet of this facility and the training staff.

I was a Crossfitter at a solid box for four years until life and an injury got in the way. I spent a year doing physical therapy and refining my technique and now coach posture and movement with an online company. We just moved to the area and were planning on finding another Crossfit box... but found this instead. So glad we did. I still love Crossfit, but it can really beat you up and there's often the risk of overtraining. The coaches at Physical Culture push you enough to challenge you, but not so much that your body can't move the next day. This allows you to enjoy the work you're doing and be ready to come back the next day for more. Class sizes are still small, so the coaches are able to really pay attention to what you're doing and give pointers on how to improve form. A couple of the reviewers I saw complained about the price, which as of this post is @ $150 monthly. Well, if you're looking for a place with mirrors and lights so you can stare at yourself while you do biceps curls or bore yourself to death on a treadmill, then maybe that $30 a month gym down the road is for you. You get what you pay for. If you're still committed to "embracing the suck" of a Crossfit metcon and occasionally being so sore that it hurts to just to sit on the toilet (here's looking at you, Fran), have at it. But if you're interested in something in between... something that makes you sweat and helps you build muscle while still allowing you to USE those muscles in the same day, this is where you want to be.

*Side note: they also offer Kinstretch, youth athletic development, and twice a week Muay-Thai classes.

I love Physical Culture Gym and what it represents. These past six weeks I have learned the difference between exercising to be active vs. having an Active Lifestyle. A lifestyle of being healthy, active, and energized is a culture I will continue to embrace. Every coach here at Physical Culture Gym takes there time to teach fundamentals and proper technique. Most importantly they share their knowledge and passion with every member! I’m excited to call this place my new Home Gym and I look forward to setting new goals while overcoming future challenges. Thanks to everyone who made this opportunity possible! 👊🏽 #PhysicalCultureGym

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Michael, Ryan, and Sylvia, over the weekend and they are all very kind people that work hard to cultivate their fitness knowledge in order to help others get healthy and fit. Such a pleasure to spend time in their facility. This is a place that provides services that will actually get you the result you want and more. Their training programs are on the cutting edge of strength and conditioning methodologies. This is the place to go!

This Gym is amazing, it's the perfect fit for people who are serious about making a change in your life to be healthy. I was pretty physically active in school I remember being around 215lb after finishing my senior year football season(2011). Afterwards however I didnt do anything physically demanding since, I worked a normal desk job and when I started going to the classes I was 255lb. After 6 weeks of classes (I prefer the Rise and Grind morning workouts)and eating the right foods I was able to lose 21lbs and still going. This isn't a diet or a get slim quick trick. The change isn't going to happen overnight. By putting in the effort and feeling the difference in my strength and endurance, challenging myself with each workout, getting to see the results now has made it all the more worth it for me.

I used to be PHYSICALLY stressed and anxious like every day I could feel it in my chest, my head, lots of negative self talk, looked down everywhere I walked, always wanted to wear something big and covering, never owned a bathing suit??? Yes even in FL!!
I thought gym memberships were for rich people (yes even the $10 ones 😂) and that I would never have the time or energy to go to one even if I wanted to. I thought eating healthier was more expensive and too much work.

But boy was I wrong!!

It’s not impossible. You have to be determined to change your life. This isn’t a fad. You will get out of this what you put into it. And I feel like I finally gained control of my body and my life maybe for the first time ever.

I’m a professional beach volleyball player, been training here for 6 months and it’s changed my game big time. Coach Ryan is one of the smartest people in this field that I’ve met, the programming is thoughtful and has the right amount of flexibility for how unpredictable life and training can be.
