Veterans Memorial Park

The memorial commemorates the many of our ancestors’ dealing with the winds of war and strife that blew through the developing of our country.

Went here for a wedding and it was beautiful, you can still see some damages done by the hurricane but nice to see it open to the public.

This place is a dream for photographers of all skill levels and types. its got a beautiful waterfront and its right near the Downtown Sanford area which has everything from hipster bistros to comic book stores to music venues. you can have a good time here at all times of the day as they host a ton of afternoon/night time events as well. if you're creative enough, you can spend the entire day here!

Great place to relax fish or just watch the boats or meditate . I love it here been going since the age 4. Seen it change but for the better.

A very nice park that over looks and follows the water. Serene and patriotic. Perfect to get your steps in and or educate yourself and your family while being in nature. Bonus, there are self guided tours that makes you explore the history of Sanford and its neighborhoods !

It's a place I go to relax and free My mind I just got to get my brakes front brake it went out on me so I'm trying not to ride as much as possible

Popped onto Google Maps to see what to do in Sanford. This walk was the first thing to come up and a review said that you were guaranteed to see an alligator. They were not wrong, we took these pictures within five minutes of getting out of the car.

A nice area and nice lake. I like the feel to it and what it represents. I don't have much more to say since I was there at night on a date but it was a very nice spot just to relax after dinner.
