Nicholsonboro Baptist Church

They have the original church preserved from post Civil War Era on the property.

Just the right church. I love meeting with the people there.

Family church visit since I was a kid. Awesome place of worship and great give aways.

Nothing like home!

I'm new to the area (live on Rendant down the street), and am disappointed by the un-community actions this church and the local Police have taken.

Myself, my 70 year old mother, and my niece and nephew all play a game called Pokémon Go. It's a game where you go out in public with others and collect things for game rewards, meet people, etc. Most spots to do so are monuments, churches, prominent buildings, etc.

This church happens to be a "gym" for this game. Because of this, there has been increased foot traffic of players to participate in this gym with others. People go in front of Nicholsonboro Baptist, click a few things on their phone, interact with others there doing the same, and move onto the next game task.

Unfortunately, Nicholsonboro Baptist forgot about the whole "come as you are" part of the Bible. Instead of embracing that new friends are visiting their church, they've chosen to involve the police. Several people have been hassled for just walking by, creating a tense situation in the neighborhood.

One would think that a church would be accepting, like Jesus would want. This isn't the case here.
