Payless Car Rental

Employees very helpful. When returning vehicle was met immediately when I got out of car. The employee sent me a receipt for car return. Within 30 minutes my final receipt was sent with exact amount agreed. No extra charges. Definitely will rent from them again!

This was a two-day rental at ATL, booked directly with Payless online and prepaid. I was a bit hesitant to book with Payless based on some of the reviews I read but I must admit everything went very well. Pickup was a bit slow due to computer issues but I've seen this happen at other rental companies so not a big issue. Staff was friendly. When I went for my car it was an upgrade (SUV), normally I would refuse because gas cost more but since this was a short trip I did not mind. However, when I received my final bill (via email) I noticed there was an extra charge for the upgrade. I called customer service and they happily removed the extra charge with no questions. Again, the agent was very friendly and prompt. I asked about my deposit and she said it was already refunded to my credit card and should show up within a few days. So overall, I am very pleased with my whole rental experience and would definitely book with them again.

After getting thru the confusion of where their counter was (shared with Avis on the third floor NOT second floor like all the signs say) everything was outstanding. Seeing the mile long line at Budget made me sick to my stomach. There was no line at Avis walked right up, my counter agent was extremely nice and friendly. Got me all checked in and explained everything to me. Best part was my midsized SUV was not available so she upgraded me to a Challenger to get me on my way! They were by far the most affordable, approximately 1/4 the price of the next option and was also one of the very few that would allow the one rental I needed. I would absolutely use them again.

I was skeptical of renting from Payless as I didn't know what to expect from a car rental company who I have seen in my travels, but wasn't as familiar with. After I got to the Thrifty counter at the Atlanta Airport and was told that cars would be a 4+ hour wait, I immediately canceled my reservation and was able to find a car through Payless. The experience was wonderful. The women working the counter went above and beyond. We shared stories, restaurant recommendations, and much more in the short time that it took them to get me in a car. They made me feel like family and not just another business transaction.

Had the exact car I have at home, Bolt EV. Very easy to get the car and drop it off. All staff was friendly and helpful. Car was spotless.

I had a great experience! I was greeted very pleasantly by Joi, the customer rep. She was extremely welcoming and professional. The check in process was seamless. I used the car for a few days and dropped it off as well. I have no complaints. Thank you so much for adding to a great visit to my home city! I will definitely rent here again!

Nicholas in Atlanta made my experience wonderful. I don't know much about putting where I needed to go. He programmed every place that I would be going. I was so lucky to also have wonderful service upon return of the rental. I will use the Avis and Payless Car Rental Co. Nicholas rocks!!!!!!!!

Using Payless car rental was a great experience. Lower cost with great value! Only thing didn’t realize Payless and Avis were same and took a little time to find it. Other than that helpful staff and quick and easy return.

It was such a pleasure to meet and work with the staff at Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, GA. They were very nice and caring. I was traveling with just me and my two little girls. I rented two cars from Alamo as my business trip was extended for another week . I couldn't find any car with a reasonable price with Alamo and no cars with Enterprise, Sixth or else...

This rental was not supposed to ever happen. Yesterday we boarded our Delta flight to Miami from Atlanta to go on a cruise on April 2nd. We ended up sitting for three hours on the runway. The flight was canceled, and all other flights were sold out. We were about to miss our cruise. We scrambled to rent a car. All agencies were sold out, except for Payless.
Constance was a life saver. Her manager was refusing to allow any more one way rentals. She rented to us anyway ("I am going to get you on that cruise") and we ended up driving in a beautiful car. We made our cruise.
Thank you Constance you made our vacation happen. Payless give this lady a raise.

I always have a good experience here. I came here initially after being turned away from another company. This was after my car was totaled but the insurance stopped paying for a rental so I was forced to get my own. The service was excellent. They were friendly and seemed to move fast. Now, they're the only company that I use. As far as I know, all companies hold money on your card. The amounts may vary but it's just a temporary hold technically. I've even had my rental upgraded before (but I think they were just out of compact cars). I still associated it. The lines can get long here, though. That would be my only complaint. But once you're at the desk, they work quick. I usually arrive 30 minutes or so before my reservation.

My family and I traveled to San Antonio Texas earlier this month, and had reserved a car through a different company. Once we got the the counter, we were given a different rate than what was originally given when reserving the rental online. Kaye with Avis said she would try to help us obtain a rental car for our week long visit in San Antonio. She was able to pair us with a perfect car for our family of 5 through their "sister company", Payless Car Rental. Kaye was very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I will for sure be returning to Avis/Payless. Thank you so much for stepping in and stepping UP!! WONDERFUL customer service!

Payless Car Rental staff promptly greeted us, welcomed us and efficiently assigned our car while describing services available to add to our reservation. They mentioned these add-ons but were in no way pushy to up-sell us. The car was clean, handled well and was trouble-free for the entire week we drove it. Returning the car was a breeze! The attendant took the keys and promised an e-mail receipt which we received later that evening. We rent vehicles about a dozen times a year and our experience with Payless Car Rental was a smooth as it gets. When I have opportunity and a choice in future trips I will certainly consider Payless.

I was in a bind with a dead vehicle and it was after hours, so everything except the Atlanta airport was closed. I went online and reserved, got an Uber over to the airport and picked up my car as smoothly as could be. Due to issues with repairs I had to extend for three days, then an additional day. Payless made this as painless as possible. I realize there is a higher tax on airport rentals, but it was a matter of convenience and Payless, and the ladies that work there, were AWESOME.
