Don Chon

It’s a drive for me but well worth it. If you want authentic, fresh hot Mexican food this is the place to visit. A small restaurant with great food and huge flavor.

I've been coming here for the past three years, and by golly, it never ceases to amaze me. It's definitely the place to get some genuine tacos from the different meat selection, non will leave you unsatisfied.

Chips and salsa came first! I could tell it was home made off the rip! The cream of avocado was my favorite. Had traditional tacos and lamb quesadillas! So delicious! Refried beans and rice was the sides. No bar but byob is encouraged.

Not sure if the tortillas are homemade but they are perfect here. The pastor tacos are good but a tad bit on the salty side. All the sauces are good!

Updateeeeee: they are back on point…. The last few times we visit last week has been the old Don Chon!!!!!!! They have start back grilling the tortillas that really makes the flavors pop and no microwave meat!!!!!! Thank you , thank you , thank you , keep it up the best tacos on this side of town!!!!!

I have been coming here for quite sometime and I would say the first three or four times it was freaking DELICIOUS……….. we thought we found our spot …. The last few times you can tell the steak is microwave and the flavors are missing …. The only thing that kept me with hope is because the manager is super nice and the sauces are always on point . I really hope they get it back on track because I really enjoyed them

Love this place! Food is always fresh and authentic. Rather I’m dining in or calling in a order to go, they always satisfy! The food is also reasonably priced. The avocado (green) sauce/dip is my favorite! 10/10 recommend! Definitely a local gem.

I absolutely loved the food at this small restaurant. The menu is not huge, but it seems what they do have, they've perfected. I had 2 shrimp tacos, 2 barbacoa tacos and 2 birria tacos. It was all good, but the birria takes the cake. The birria consome is to die for...I literally started dipping the corn tortillas chips once I ate all 6 of my tacos. I had to drink the rest lol.

All the food at this restaurant is really good but the veggie tacos are amazing! Not only do you get one salsa you get four with cucumber and radish to boot! The music is wonderful and I believe the establishment is family owned. A hidden gem in a lovely walkable area of Atlanta!

Amazing food and even better staff!! The flavors, authenticity and ambiance cant be matched. It truly feels like a warm hug and I will continue to support as long as you guys are around! Thank you for filling my belly!!!

Went here today. I ordered 6 birria tacos, and they were so good n crunchy. I do think can give more of the dip sauce but everything was so so good definitely will be returning

I got the al pastor tacos with onions and cilantro and they were amazing! Loved it! Along with a horchata. :) will come again!

Awesome tacos! Really excellent tripa, actually made it crispy, as I requested. Super cheap and easy to pick up. Will definitely be back here!

Really great food with a variety of flavors and different types of salsas!

The tacos are delicious here! We had asada, tripe, chorizo, and pastor. Salsas were amazing! Horchata was great as well. Great customer service too!

This place was not my intended destination tonight, but I stopped on a whim. When I walked in and saw Abuelita seasoning and cooking the meat, I knew I was in the right place for authentic Mexican food….I ordered the barbacoa, don special, and chorizo taco…when I got home, each were wrapped individually. The tortillas were cooked from scratch! All the meats were tender, literally melt in your mouth. This place has officially kicked my favorite taqueria into second place (sorry). You will not be disappointed.

Food is always good, I got 1 of every taco minus pork products. Excellent food and cost is low.

Deliciously authentic tacos with great sauces to accompany. There is a taco for everyone- shrimp, steak, vegetarian, you won't go wrong!

I swear if you want AUTHENTIC TACOS / MEXICAN FOOD COMIDA MEXICANA ❤❤💪🏾💪🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This is where you need to be….. we got tacos de carne Asada and quesadilla de pollo 🐥 if your not here your SQUARE 😻🙀😻😆❤👏🏾💪🏾The Gus here is awesome the lovely 🥰 lady in the back cooking this reminds me back at home con mi family.

Absolutely amazing stuff here, Definitely would recommend if your looking for a good Mexican spot that does some not so traditional things. BIRRIA RAMEN
