I love it

Standard park

It's a very small park, but very well maintained and quiet. There are only 2 picnic tables and only 1 of them is covered, hence my dinging 1 star. There's a small playground for very young children, a (hardly ever used) tennis court, a short but nice concrete walking track with plenty of benches along the path, and 3 trash cans on-site so a place to toss your garbage is always handy. I really want to give this park 5-stars, but I feel there's a lot of wasted space that could have covered picnic tables or something useful for a tiny park.

Such a small, quiet park in the middle of subdivisions is best for picnics and for small children to play, it's way too small for organized sports or big groups. And uncovered picnic tables in south Louisiana are rarely pleasant to sit at. But that's just my opinion and the shortcomings I see are not important to you.

I still love the park, and BREC does an amazing job, so I'm really just picking nits based how the covered table seems to almost always be occupied and the fact that we've never once been able to use the covered table. Having it in a walkable area means we can walk over and that's nice since most of BR requires a vehicle. I'm surprised more people from the nearby subdivisions don't visit, but I know we'd go more often if we could get a shady picnic table from which to enjoy the quiet of nature.

Nice quiet family park...not big. Small track goes around park, children area, and tennis court.

Small neighborhood park. Good to see they still have places like this.
