Athenos Greek & Lebanese Cafe - Brusly

This was the best lunch in a while, perfectly cooked juicy chicken kabab on rice, with tangy salad, roasted pepper and onion, with hummus. I was greeted when I entered and the people were awesome and friendly. Will definitely come back soon.

We like this restaurant because the food is great, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is good. It's a nice place to go for a special occasion, and we've been going back for years.

I absolutely love this place. The food is always hot and delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. I tend to always order the same thing when I go:Meat Moussaka and Meat Stuffed Grape Leaves. The portions are large; I always have enough for lunch the next day. They have never let me down. This is ultimate comfort food and the best Greek I've ever had.

Delicious. The combo plate was very good. This last time I went the server wasnt very attentive. Ask for salad, received fries. Asked for ketchup never got any.. Just a minor thing

This place is amazing and the waitresses are so sweet. They will carry on a conversation with you and check on you regularly during your meal. I have a family of 7 and we get the $45 meal with chicken and lamb. The food come out fresh and the environment is clean and family friendly. We did not get fussed at about a mask. It's you're choice to water one through the fort or not. The Lebanese tea is made fresh daily. The bathrooms are clean. It's our favorite place to get a big meal that doesn't break the bank.

Very very happy. Loved eating in, love taking out. I had a great experience with my boyfriend. We ordered a little bit of everything. My favorite was the chicken pasta. Super fresh, super delish. One of my new favorites. Love taking a date night here once or twice a month. Wish I could afford it more often! The place is very cozy, and staff was nice and pleasant.

Man I’ll have to say…. I thought the place was closed…. But that just made the service fast! The food was AMAZING!!! The gyro was an 11 the hummus was an 11 the salad was ok but overall I don’t see why it looked dead …@best restaurant I’ve eaten at since I got Addis… definitely going back!!

This has become my husband's favorite Mediterranean spot (in WBR, at least). We indulge in just the meats, and it is super good.
Ordering (phone, drive-thru window, and walk-in) are all a breeze. The employees are very nice, and I feel they really make an effort to ask you how your day has been as opposed to just staring mindlessly at you while you sign your receipt.
I recommend.

The best chicken shawarma salad I've ever had. I called the order in and within 5 to 10 minutes is ready for pickup they do have a drive-thru window and the price is reasonable. I can eat on it for 2 days. Staff is friendly and helpful and they deserve a tip.

Not what you would expect from the look on the outside (or inside!). The place could use a little facelift or update instead of cardboard brick sheets in the windows in place of blinds. The staff is always nice and attentive, I have occasionally seen their children up there behind the counter (read about this in another review).
Aside from all that the food is very very good. I love the gyros and their hummus. They give great portions, most every time I over eat. I always intend on trying something different but can't seem deviate from my delicious norm.
Don't be fooled by the looks, the food is very good.

I have found myself in Brusly almost daily in the past few months and I have gotten take out from Athenos twice. The food here is standard Lebanese fare, but the quality is impressive and the quantity is as well. Both times I had a lamb kebab plate. The lamb was well seasoned and almost melted in my mouth! The accompanying salad was very flavorful with an oil-based dressing (versus the creamier dressing type that some restaurants serve). The hummus was creamy in texture with just the right amount of flavor.

My experience with the service was minimal as I walked in and ordered takeout and waited, but the first time I came in almost as they were closing the doors, yet the young lady behind the bar took my order and was pleasant and courteous. They second visit I enjoyed chatting with a young man while I waited for my food. Just a very nice experience start to finish with a very full belly! Also, I waited for less than 20 minutes both times from door to door. In my opinion, it is rare to get food of such great quality that fast!
Do yourself a favor and visit Athenos for great Lebanese cuisine in Brusly on the west side of the Mississippi River near Baton Rouge!

Great food! Our favorites are the fried cheese, Jordanian pressed wraps, shrimp kabobs and pastas. We eventually will try the other menu items, but we keep going back for these because they're excellent!

I love eating here. The people are nice, the place is clean, and the food is so darn good. I love the stuffed grape leaves and the grilled meats. They feed you well here with good choices.

Food Always is good. Always have leftovers to bring home
