This bayou side park is very much part of my childhood, and I've always loved coming here! Still, now, decades later, nothing has changed except for a few small portions of cyclone fence have been put up to keep cars from driving through the grounds. You can bring your own supplies and picnic or a rod n reel and fish.. jus be careful near the waters edge there are snakes of all sizes and breed!!

I would call this the solo Park this is somewhere you would go on your own to clear your mind or with your dog

I would not suggest this park for children this is a grown-up Park this is a retired person's Park this is a mom who needs a minute alone Park. Or a dad who needs a minute alone Park. You're welcome Mom and Dad's you're welcome retirees. PS there are no bathrooms. But there is a dollar store just right down the road. Just in case nature comes to call in fast.. I just wanted you to know

I have not seen the park in about 20 years. It has changed a great deal, but it's still a beautiful place to relax and reconnect with nature. These days it's just a lot smaller than it once was.

Peaceful walk along a Cypress tree lined Bayou. Several oak trees that were planted by Gold Star families after WWI honor the local fallen heroes of that battle. A wonderful place for a family outing. Plenty of places for a picnic.
