Great tasting no frills Chinese food. The walls are covered with awards won by the quality inexpensive cuisine. The egg rolls and crab rangoons are fantastic. The chicken is nice and tender, not rubbery. Great location for grabbing a quick bite in Springfield. Right across the corner from Bass Pro Shops, Wonders of Wildlife museum and aquarium, Salvation Army and Red Racks thrift stores. The General Tsos chicken has a fragrant garlic flavor and is not very spicy at all. The sweet and sour is my absolute favorite! Make sure you check this place out.

The fried pot stickers are perfectly thick and chewy. The sauce that comes with them 👌 The sauce on the cashew chicken is also thick and a beautiful dark brown 🤎 ❤ All the stars, everything hit!

Canton Inn is my favorite for comfort Chinese food. I’ve eaten almost everything on the menu over the last two decades and everything is good. The best cabbage egg rolls in Springfield in my opinion, and the egg drop soup is spectacular. The wontons and crab rangoon are always a good choice. The thing that makes Canton Inn the best to me is the sauce... when I think of cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken, I think of the sauce at Canton Inn... it’s the best to me and has been since I first ate there in the late 90’s. This is definitely not a fancy place, but if you’re craving Chinese food done well across the board, Canton Inn is tough to beat.

They have the best cashew chicken and egg rolls in town. They also have really good general chicken. I have been eating here since I can remember and they are the best.

I have been coming to this place for over 20 years and there's a reason they've won best cashew chicken numerous times. Great food at a good price with really consistent quality.

20yrs after living at Canton Inn during college, I've had a chance to relive Cashew Chicken and I'm gonna cry thinking about how spot on it was to my dreams over the last 2 decades. Best general chicken that I've found in Springfield. Service is fast and employees are friendly.

After all these years, this is still my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Chinese food. Every time I return to Springfield, I make sure to stop here. Sweet and Sour is the GOAT!!

Cashew chicken is amazing !! I'm from Springfield and live in NY now. It's been 7 years since I have had "Springfield cashew chicken" let me tell you it is NOT the same in the north ! The staff was friendly and the service was quick and it was delicious !

Some of the best food I've had in a while! Lo Mein and chicken fried rice were the best!

They made me a special Egg Fu Young. No longer on the menu. I wish they would Bing it back!

This has been my favorite place to get decently priced Springfield Style cashew chicken for the last 20 years. Food is always hot, order is always right, friendly staff, and we love to sit outside at the patio and eat as a family when we go. There's a lot of good Chinese food in Springfield, but my family always craves Canton Inn.

It is very rare to find Cantonese food, every vacation to the Ozarks Canton Inn is a MUST stop!! We found this little gem of a place back in 2017 on a family vacation. I am extremely picky about egg rolls, only 2 restaurants make them to my liking Canton Inn and Canton's out of Bethany, Oklahoma. We order pick up, a pan filled with egg rolls and crab rangoons to have at our condo/resort for our eating pleasure everyday on vacation.
At $2 an egg roll for a family is quite pricey but it is a well worth price to pay for such deliciousness!!!!
Their other foods are quite wonderful too!
While the restaurant is rather gross and nasty and needs a darn good cleaning and kept clean, the food is wonderful.
They must go hand in hand because it seems the best food comes from the little old holes you usually pass by due to curb appeal. But hey, more for me!!!

Really though, owners are nice, and food is top notch and none of us have gotten sick yet so by business they will keep getting!

Canton Inn has been a Springfield staple for decades. It’s your standard Springfield style Chinese restaurant and they’re very good at what they do. Canton Inn has perhaps the most loyal following of any Chinese restaurant in Springfield. Their prices are low. The owners and staff are very nice and service is quick. Inside is basic but always clean. They have outdoor seating which is rare for Chinese restaurants around here.

Nothing fancy here, it was clean. But the food was great and priced low. Service was fast.

Love it here good food and cheap too. Offered student discount as well.

Love this place. Best cashew chicken in town and at $6.95 you can't beat the price.
