Ruby's Coffeehouse & Eatery

Great little coffeehouse right on the pier! Cute decorations and friendly staff. Good seating available to sit and enjoy your drink and maybe a delicious baked good. We got iced lattes and a cinnamon croissant and a chocolate croissant. Both croissants were yummy.

The cutest coffee shop we've found on OKI so far! Right off the pier and great parking available in the morning. We enjoyed iced and hot coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and French toast sticks. Service was super quick and everyone was nice despite a pretty long line. The French toast sticks were freshly made and the iced caramel macchiato hit the spot. All of the tables are wrapped with washable vinyl and each one had a unique scene. Ruby's also features goodies from local small business owners. Overall, loved the atmosphere and tropical vibes!

My wife and I went to Ruby’s every morning for a week during our beach vacation. The staff was absolutely fantastic! I honestly can not say enough about the service we received. We looked forward to our morning coffee and bagel everyday. They have so many different iced latte flavors. Personally I loved the snickers and my wife really loved the Sweet Island. 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful and clever interior design, especially if you like taking "Instagramable" photos. Coffee was good and breakfast sandwiches were fine. Paid parking was a minor bummer, but easy to navigate. This is a great breakfast option for visiting the pier. Some local wares are sold here. Has bathrooms.

Ruby’s was so good we went two days in a row! We tried bagel sandwiches both days and both days didn’t disappoint. The vibe is great and the service was incredible. If you are looking for a quick bite, this is the place to go. Pro tip: get the Ruby’s specialty iced coffee. It is shaken with milk and cinnamon. I don’t even like cinnamon and I couldn’t get enough!

A cute little coffee shop right off the pier! Had the matcha latte it was delicious! My son had the Carolina dog and he loved it! Everything was prepared fresh! Cool vibe inside too!

This place is so cute, SO good, and the girls working are too sweet! Me and a friend went and both got iced caramel brûlée lattes and we were both shocked at how good they were! Not bitter like some coffee shops and the perfect flavor! I had an everything bagel that was one of the best I’ve ever had, soft and fresh tasting with yummy cream cheese. Worth every penny and even better supporting a local business! Obsessed with this place.

Went in here for the first time today in the off season. Super nice people behind the counter and the drink special I got was just amazing. The whole place is aesthetically pleasing and in a very neat location. I’m hoping I can come back and try the food soon!

My first visit to Oak Island and wondering where I would find my morning cappuccino? Then I found Ruby's. Excellent cappuccino and love the other items on the menu. Plus I could sit on the pier overlooking the beach and ocean. Doesn't get any better.

Been here a few times now food and drinks always good. Service is quick and polite. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars in service is when we tried to order food online it wasn’t working and they don’t take call ins anymore.

Really enjoyed this spot! We’re vacationing on Oak Island and I had a craving for bagels, but Bagel Dock was closed. Fortunately I found Ruby’s and was not disappointed. I noticed a sign saying they served bagel dock bagels among other breakfast items. My bagel was great and my husband really enjoyed the pimento toast. Everyone in our group enjoyed the coffee and breakfast, I’ll definitely go back. The inside is a bit small and seating can be limited, so keep that in mind if you have a large group. We didn’t have any issues, but if it’s busy you may want to grab your stuff to go. Overall really good spot!

Quaint and cute coffee shop right at the base of the pier. It's the kind of thing you wish was at the base of every pier. Not open Tuesdays, but otherwise it's a great early morning spot or in the winter great to get a bevy and walk the pier

Love it. What a delightful little place in the beach. I want expecting much from this place and it blew me away. I had a kokodoodle latte (iced) and got the avocado toast on an asiago bagel- definitely recommend!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in OKI! The coffee itself is good, and I love the turmeric wellness drink (I always make it dirty) their bagels are also good. It’s super convenient if you’re right on the beach and need a coffee fix!

Visited twice during our 3-day Oak Island getaway in early June. Went to another coffee spot our first morning, nice place but left a little to be desired, and thankfully happened upon Ruby's for our second and third mornings! First visit we had coffee and a spicy mocha, as well as a bagel/cream cheese and avocado toast. My mocha was superb with just the right amount of cayenne, and the avocado toast delicious. Second visit just had drinks as we were hitting the road for our drive back home.

Fun, funky atmosphere at the Oak Island Pier, very comfortable to sit and relax for a while. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items. Will be back for more good stuff on our next OKI visit. Thanks!

This place was so good that my family and I have come in for coffee every day since we arrived on Oak Island. The staff is always bubbling with kindness (even though we were usually coming in sweaty from a morning run or bike ride). The menu is awesomely creative, with tons of quirky syrup combos and flavors, plus great bites to eat (try avacado toast on an asiago bagel). The view can’t be beat either, whether you’re sitting out on the pier or inside with the charming pastel decor and ocean themes. My personal go-to became the “Nuts and Berries” latte with oat milk, but the “Killer Bee” is also hard to top. Whatever you get, Ruby’s is the place to get it though, even if it’s just for the immaculate service and experience.
