Captain's Cove Motel

We had such a wonderful stay here. We appreciate our dogs being welcome guests, too. They even gave us goody bags! As with most pet-friendly accomodations, we expected to see some damage, smell or hair and we found none of that. (Minimal damage on woodwork and curtains). Our room smelled nice and was all clean when we arrived. Due to their prevalence these days, no matter where we stay, we always check for signs of bedbugs. Everything was clean and the beds had nice, preventative mattress covers. We had 2 beds in our room and still had plenty of room for 3 crates! We enjoyed the convenient location with great beach access. The sound of the window AC helped keep the dogs from hearing outside noises, which often prompts a little barking. They never made a peep! We all slept like logs! We didn't use the fridge or microwave as we just stayed for one night. We hope to be back to visit again soon and for a longer stay.

Clean rooms with very friendly staff and walking distance to the beach. Good prices on rooms. I've been staying here for almost 30 years and will continue.

The owners and the staff are great people. It was so humid outside and the room air conditioner was so cold that there was some condensation building up. That was the biggest issue, and the staff did everything in their power to fight off mother nature and make our room comfortable. This is life on an island, life at the beach, and this place does it right! Large areas with grills for us to use, picnic tables, and a pool area that is fantastic! They continue to update the rooms, they care about the landscaping, and the Mom & Pop feel of the place coupled with the Family Friendly Vibe will keep our family coming back for years. Great place for an affordable family vacation in paradise! Plus we could take our dogs!

Rooms were just a little dated but over all ok. The staff and service were great and the location was absolutely the best!. Loved the whole vibe of the place..may not be for everyone but was exactly what I was looking for. Shade trees and picnic tables and grill..benches outside of every door..very clean and enjoyable pools and pet friendly. Just please be considerate of other fur babies by keeping your pups on a leash and clean up after them..I will definitely be going back for another visit and recommending to family and friends..

This Retro Motel is a Blast of the Past in my book! I'm 58 yrs old and I have been going to this motel since I was 15 yrs old. My entire family, Parents, Siblings, Kids, Nieces & Nephews, Aunt & Uncles love this Motel and we consider it our second home.

The pool has a dolphin fountain that the kids absolutely love! Such great memories playing water volleyball,playing in the pool, laying beside it to suntan!! The parking lot has lovely big Ole trees to give plenty of shade. There are picnic tables, grills, plenty of seating, and outdoor showers!

It's a short walk down to the oceanfront for fun, sun and adventure. There is a small four car parking lot. Just remember to stay off the dunes because of Sea Turtles!

It’s a little dated but don’t let that discourage you. The prices are so good and they do not discriminate against the size of the pet. My German Rottie has always been welcomed there. The kids love the little kiddie pool. The ocean just a short walk from the motel.

I have stayed at this hotel since I was a teen. It's very nostalgic for me and about a block from the ocean. It is not a fancy place at all. There's an old-fashioned pool with a dolphin fountain. The owners take great care of the grounds and the rooms are very clean but they do allow smoking. If you need toiletries provided or memory foam mattresses, you will not be happy here. I love this motel. We had a girls weekend and had a ball.

Cute little family owned and operated Vintage (old) motel one block up from a nice quiet beach access.(This is not a chain hotel brand so please don't make comparisons).Owners were as nice as they could be. Bed and bathroom was clean and comfortable. (It needs new carpet) The pool was beautiful and very clean with plenty of places to sit and relax. We loved the classic rock station playing in the pool area.I read all previous posts and did not see or experience anything negative. Great prices for a weekend at the beach and we will definitely return.

It was exactly what I paid for not to much and not to little. Pet friendly and the staff was great they respected my privacy the times I wanted fresh clean towels daily. Location was great only a 5 min walk to the beach and several restaurants and shops within a couple minutes of walking . The wife and I will 100% be back for sure thank you captains cove for a great anniversary weekend.

I've been coming here since childhood and now I bring my children. It's just a simple motel but it's great. The pool is so much fun, walking distance to the beach. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our fur babies (dogs) are always welcomed with open arms. The motel is older but never dirty. If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this is not your place but if you are looking for simple, affordable, family friendly fun I highly recommend it. For 3 generations this has been our summer hideaway and I hope your family loves it as much as mine does.

I love this place! It has colorful doors and its stylish and cute and beautiful. It has a nice pool. And its close enough to walk to the beach. The rooms where great both times I came here and this one is pretty big with a nice bathroom a closet. They have tv and a great view. Will definitely try to come here every year. ❤

Super cute & clean motel. Very well kept. Walking distance to everything & everyone was very friendly. I really loved all of the beautiful plants & the music. Very family friendly. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We will definitely be back!

Very charming place. Extremely pet friend no discrimination against pit bulls very clean. Will visit again a must for dog lovers. Little out dated but had flat screen tvs. Rates very affordable with only one time $25 pet fee. Because the owner has rooms professionally cleaned. So the next pet owner does have to worry about fleas or diseases. The beach is only a block away with public parking. Also dogs are allow on beach 24/7.

I just stayed here for 4 days the owner was very nice the rooms are older but that's what they advertise. It's close to the beach I am going back in August rot a week. The only thing is the Wi-Fi was in and out but the phone company was working to that may have been the deal. I love that they have apts. And that I'd you need anything all u have to do is call. The house keepers are very nice as well as the office people. The pool is cool kids and adults love it. It's close to everything. I like that u can have animals there. The blankets and sheets and towels was all clean. Please check them out the price is great as well

This motel is such a gem! The rates were very affordable. The rooms are clean and cozy. There was WiFi, a mini fridge, microwave, a coffee maker and clean towels in our room. The motel has a great little pool and some picnic tables and grills around for the guests to use. The staff was so polite and made sure we had everything we needed.

Its quaint and inexpensive. Its not a Ritz but its good enough to stay for a week at the beach. Parking is a little hard to find, that's a bit aggravating, but 🤷‍♂ good with the bad right?

We stayed there from June 24 until the 26th, and wish we could have stayed longer! It's not a fancy Hilton or anything, but we thought the staff was super friendly! She even let us borrow one of her personal pots for making spaghetti, bc we needed a bigger one. The pool was su[per clean, and open later than most places. Our kids loved it there, they had ring toss games, corn hole, and grills outside by picnic tables. We all felt very at home there. The rooms were very clean, and smelled great when we got there. We will most definitely be going back for our next vacay!
