Oak Island Pier

Nice place to see the ocean and fish if that's your thing. The pier is new and very nice. The people working there are very pleasant.

Pretty place to visit and catch the sunrise. It's not too packed though there was a substantial amount of people there at that time fishing. Everyone sticks to their own though, with friendly "good morning" greetings as you pass by.

Definitely recommend if you are trying to see the sunrise/sunset!

What a beautiful place!!! To come to with a lover or a fishing cart to catch the big one, and it's a great place to sit and enjoy some meditation

Lovely pier at oak island with quite a few parking place. We got here around 12 and there were still plenty available. Parking was $4 an hour and the beach was packed! Lord of people fishing and surfing.

decent little shop with the number of handy fishing and beach related items. had to buy some sunglasses because of sand in the eyes when it was windy off the beach and they were fairly priced. view from the pier especially for sunset spectacular down at the end of the pier.

Paid parking lot with limited spaces, but other lots and spaces within a block.

Love this area! Very family friendly beach. Nice and clean. Disappointed to have to pay $20 to park now. It was free last year and up till now. But worth it.

Great pier to go to! You can always get a beautiful view of the water from here! Without doubt worth going to!

Had a good time fishing, caught a good amount of smaller fish!

Even in February...the people were super friendly and we actually caught a few small fish during the short time we got to fish between rain showers.

I walked on the pier today. It was beautiful and very well maintained. It’s a nice view from the end. I got an iced coffee at Ruby’s afterwards at the end of the pier. The young ladies working there are very sweet!

This is a great pier! We fished for hours today and it was so much fun. The woman in the shop was super helpful getting set up and started. Will return!

Nice pier with plenty of space for fishing and bird watching. It has a metal grate all the way down the middle where you can see the ocean below and plenty of seating to sit and watch the sunset. It is only open 7am-7pm though, so don't wait too late to visit.

Fun place to visit, nog sure where to get your fishing license, but people were catching fish left and right. The pier is a nice walk and tons of fun for kids that like being outdoors.

We were able to find parking pretty easy and we arrived there around dinner time in a Saturday evening. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a beach or a place for a nice walk. Dog were welcome on the beach, but they can't be running loose.

Such a beautiful place! Not to far from Oak Island Lighthouse! And my first time finding a sharks tooth! How awsome is that!!
