The Porter Public House

Stopped in tonight for a late dinner. Our server gentleman took excellent care of us. He was super friendly, efficient & gave an excellent recommendation for the meatloaf. Delishhh!!! 🤤 Good selection of craft beers & cocktails, in a casual lounge atmosphere.

Unfortunately we arrived to this place almost at 9:00 pm on Saturday night and the kitchen was closed. But our server was very kind, he explained to us that they had a very busy night. We got some good beers and we loved the environment. We will come back early in another day.

I had one the the best hamburgers I have ever tried. It was perfect. They have their own craft beers and most were pretty good. I would recommend the flight of beer so you can try them all.

I have a review from way back in the day that was not so great. Our visit on 9/15/21 was a much more pleasant experience. We had the Hair of the dog burger and the burger of the month the pizza party burger. Both were tasty and the food came out quickly. I tried the Witch Doctor black ipa and it was tasty. Looking forward to trying the House of Coral once it's ready.

We love The Porter!! This is one of our usual lunch spots and the lunch is always fantastic. Kayce and everyone else who works there are always so kind! Definitely recommend The Porter!

Hard to find a brewery that serves beer and has a wide variety of liquor to choose from. The food was really great as well. I will definitely return.

(LONG POST ALERT)
We stumbled across this nice little spot on Friday evening, by chance. They did not disappoint, from the food to the beer tasting! Although, I'm not a beer drinker. We were at a pub, I had to join in on the experience. So, I did partake in the choices, that our waitress picked out for us (I can't remember her name 🤦🏾‍♀ but she was awesome!). THE ARCHER WAS OUR FAVORITE!

They were shorthanded. But, I must give a big shout out to the cook/owner, who step up to the plate and knocked it out the park. The food was so goooooooooooooooood!!!! Emphasize on good!!! Okay, it was great! We had the fish and chips (fresh cut potato fries, not ready chips but y'all know that, lol).

Ohhhh, and we had their mac & cheese added to our order. It was so good, that you have to close your eyes to take it in with all of your senses with the "hmmmmm" sound! Yall, it was oooooowwwwweee gooooowwwwweeeeee, good!

I promise that I wasn't drunk, when I wrote this! Whoever, reads this post, please add this place as one of your spots to try!

Great little pub and nice beers, great food, live music on Saturdays! A sweet place to take your buds on the weekend!

Everything is right with The Porter.
From first walking in you notice the comfortable atmosphere. The food menu has southern comforts (best chicken fingers in 39401/39402) and new classics (Chili Mac).

Always up-to-date on draft beers from Mississippi breweries and weeknight events regularly (TRIVIA TUESDAY), The Porter is a staple to my week!

Fun place to go with friends. The fish and chips and meatloaf are delicious. The cocktails are delish too <3 Kate is literally the best server I have ever had the pleasure of having. A QUEEN. Cozy atmosphere, I can see it being overwhelming on a busy weekend night, but weeknights it's lit. AND they have trivia Tuesday nights at 8, which is a little past my bedtime, teehee, but the guy who does it is awesome sauce!!

I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was very good. I also had the Artichoke and Spinach dip. I will definitely be back. The service was great!

When we went on a Friday evening and it was nice and not overly loud. Food was fantastic, had the club sandwich and she had a buffalo chicken salad. In house beer was pretty good also with a wide selection. The overall atmosphere of the place is really nice and a huge plus is no smoke. We sat at the bar and the Bartender was attentive and helpful. Definitely suggest to go and try it if you're in the area.

It was a nice atmosphere, my first time being there. The Zucchini Chips were amazing, too bad they were out of the black bean burger.

My wife and I just happened to stumble across this place. They have the best fries I've ever had. The food was great, we had no complaints. My drink was constantly topped off. Definitely stop by if you get a chance.
