This place is excellent. Top notch service and stand behind the products. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff and management. I was new to backpacking and learned a ton from Adam and got many of my essentials with his help. Price range / level among products is great too. I would like to seem the modernize the customer account / purchase history. Having to keep paper receipts is a bit outdated. But even with that they were more than helpful. The customer service is what really has set this place apart from the rest for me.

Great store for outdoor gear.

I was with friends who needed products available at this store. I found wonderful bargains on men's wear for my hubby who takes big and tall sizes. The staff was very nice and we all enjoyed our shopping experience.

This store is amazing! I don't usually write reviews but I read them thoroughly before making any purchase. This store had such great reviews that I decided to go with them. I purchased a kayak paddle from them yesterday which is almost 1 week out from Christmas. It arrived in the mail the very next day for free! It was packaged very professionally which was one of my main concerns since a lot of people who buy kayak paddles online warn of them arriving damaged. Not this one. It came perfect! As a bonus it was the best price out there and the customer service was awesome when I had questions online! I highly recommend them and wish they carried the rest of my Christmas shopping list online for me to purchase! Thank you!

This store epitomizes the difference between a chain or online store and a locally owned brick and mortar store. It is hard to buy a folding kayak without sitting in it & seeing how heavy it is and how it folds and unfolds. I needed one setup. Not only did Hales Corner have one set up, they worked with me to set up 2 other models, and would have let me put together every model they had, and they had around 5. They are amazing. I live nearly 2 hours away but they are awesome and well worth the trip. I will be buying my future kayaks and paddle boards and accessories from them. Thank you for being so great.

Wow, such a cool store! Lots of great things for camping and outdoors. Staff was friendly and Paul was very helpful with boots. They had some good sale items and I noticed signs that say they price match. I didn't even make it to the surplus or knife and military sections after an hour in the store. I will definitely be back soon.

I found waiters for a project I have. Store had lots of stuff. Asked rep at store and he was able to take me directly to the items. They were on sale too!

My husband and I live in the area and stop in somewhat regularly. We are currently planning a fall camping trip next weekend and found our 30+ yr old screen "kitchen" tent we inherited from his parents finally showing wear beyond repair. We stopped in today to get a new one and see if any other camping gear caught our interest. We found a great deal on an American-made screen tent 10'x12' exactly like the one we had for $99 (originally $400). We couldn't grab it off the shelf fast enough! 😁 It was perfect! Besides that, the guy on the floor was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about this specific tent without hesitation. This fantastic service and friendliness has been the norm for every time we have been in here. We found a few other deals and great end of season clearance items and are ready and looking forward to camping next weekend.

Love the knife and gear selection! Lots of quality clothes and useful odds and ends for the great outdoors! Been coming here since the early 2000s for Scouting needs. Found an incredible SmartWool sweater last fall too!
