Wow!! Where to start. The catfish was absolutely delicious, fresh fried okra and fries! I had a complimentary bowl of the best apple pie that could rival my grandmother's!! I know they have got to give Bailey a raise! The best service you could ask for!!

I have to give this restaurant 5 stars and here’s why.

My wife and I had a spur moment idea to go out to eat and I recommend this place. The only reason why she wanted to go is because they had cheesecake on the menu.

When we arrived we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Both the greeter and the trainee were both awesome. So awesome that when my wife heard there was no cheese cake left they called in a favor from another restaurant and had a slice of cheesecake delivered just for my wife… **who does that**.

And to top it off the steak was cooked to perfection. It was so tender my wife was able to cut it with a butter knife. And the cheese cake was so good, my wife literally wanted to cry. Everything about the whole night was amazing. The staff, the music, the atmosphere.

Absolutely this place deserves 5 stars.

The fried stuff pork chop was so delicious. The bartender made a great old fashion as well. I can wait until they get the large ice cube for this drink.

Fried green tomatoes & shrimp were delicious we have the vudu sauce on the side was too sweet for me. The taste of New Orleans was pretty good! The 5 layer chocolate cake was out of this world! Jack & coke was spot on!

Blu Jazz Cafe. has made my top 10 restaurants list, and I didn't even get to visit on the live music night. You're not just getting great food at Blu Jazz, you're getting an out-of-this-world experience. I visited with my daughter and dad. We arrived an hour before closing time, and the chef served as if we were the first patrons of the night. The concerted Creole and Jazz ambiance feels like a ride on the Riverboat Queen, right in Downtown Hattiesburg. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, a night out with colleagues and friends, or having a first date, Blu Jazz is the place to go. It's tasty, affordable, and conveniently located. I look forward to going back. Hopefully, the owners will consider a location in Alaska. :)

It's probably one of the best places I've eaten. I would post a pic of the food, but I couldn't resist and dug in as soon as it came out. Had to try a bit of mix of stuff. First, the Cajun samper: jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice. Very great. Honestly, it's difficult to top these for me as they're my absolute favorite, but they did. I also got the crab cakes, which are pretty solid; sometimes they can be really strong with the flavor of the herbs in them, but these were balanced and mild, perfectly crisp. Finally, I got the redfish grits on a whim, but it may be one of the best things I've ever had. Blackened, but not overly so, steak like in taste. Cheese grits that came with it were perfect. All of it is very rich, so I don't recommend getting as much as I did unless you're looking to take a blissful a nap after.

Seth was excellent. He managed all of the special orders and made some great recommendations. The egg whites were prepared to perfection. The catfish was light and crispy.

Everything was delicious! Had the stuffed porkchop, loaded potato and house salad with homemade ranch. THE WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING... You're welcome

One of our favorite restaurants in Hattiesburg (or anywhere for that matter). Great atmosphere, kind and friendly staff and delicious food. Super diverse menu and everything is best-in-class. Partial to the catfish jambalaya, Hub City Yardbird, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, catfish, nachos, gumbo and don't forget the fish and steaks. 😉

We came on the recommendation of a friend and we loved it! My wife had the catfish platter and it was very generous portion. I had the shrimp po-boy and it was excellent. The service was fast and atmosphere was great. I need to come back, since I heard the egg sandwich and bread pudding are good.

Very intimate. Median priced. Food good. With the music and other diners the waitress was hard to hear.

As visitors to Hattiesburg, Blu Jazz came recommended by a local we met in a bar. With a jazz band playing the Saturday night we were there the ambience was perfect. Table service was top-notch and the cocktails were generously poured. Across five diners we got chicken, steak and the catfish. All very good. Great dinner experience in Hattiesburg.

First times are usually make or break for a restaurant for us. This first time is definitely a make. Excellent crab cakes and even better shrimp and grits(Gouda!!!!!). Bread pudding was also great. Our short list of favorites just grew by one.

We happened by this cafe on our way to the beach of course.. Michael was great! He is a very good server and a great asset to yalls team. We had the shrimp n grits, a large salad which I requested and Mike made it happen. We also had the chicken and waffles. Perfect temperature, flavors and textures on the food. I am very picky and I can say we will be back this fall when we come back through. 10/10

5 Stars. We just lucked our finding this place. The service was amazing, and they have the very best shrimp poyboy I have ever eaten in my 59 years, I have ate a lot of them. It was so fresh and battered with a coating I have never had. Truly delicious. There was four of us and two of us o r dared the shrimp and I believe one plate of a Cajun dish (he loved it!) and one order roastbeef poorboy. The roast beef was mediocre. Get the shrimp!

Only had drinks and appetizers, bar tender and cocktails were fabulousness, he was friendly and helpful in his mixology. The food we tried was awesome everything
Had a nice twist to it. We tried the Nachos and Fried Green Tomatoes.

What a fantastic restaurant! Started with fried green tomatoes - amazing. Field peas never tasted so good. Catfish was perfect.

My husband & I have tried absolutely every restaurant in Hattiesburg and this is definitely a fill 10 rating! I love it! The waitress was very attentive; we didn't have to ask for anything she was fast and always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed.
