Called in this morning to start water service in my name. Spoke with Erica(not sure if she spells her name with a c or k) that being said, she was so helpful and so very nice. The whole process was very smooth and easy. I am a trainer in a call center so I know good service, especially on the phone. She is an asset and I thank her so very much!!!

I used the online payment system and it was a royal pain. I've never had problems before. I will contact the city and let them know.

I just had the best customer service experience that I’ve ever had with Carol Davis of the water department. She was kind, helpful, patient, and most of all efficient and had a great attitude the whole duration of our interaction. Someone needs to give this lady a raise.

Also, for anyone calling who can’t get anyone to answer the phone -City Link does not connect to the water department even though they put you on a hold to connect. The water department has a separate line so look around for it. The one on a Google takes you to city link and it doesn’t actually connect to the water department like it says.

Linda Scott with the City of Winston Water Department provided excellent customer service. I could not have asked for a more responsive and thorough representative to assist. Thank you!

I had to go down to the water office to clear up the 17 a $100 bill. I told them I do not have a swimming pool in my backyard. I live in an apartment. I says that's crazy to be. And when the supervisor looked at it, the first time she agreed with me and they got it knocked down to something, but it still wasn't back to where it was so I had to go back to the office the next month to try and fix it again and I talk to a different supervisor and she was. Really nice, really good. She went? Oh no, it shouldn't be like this is crazy. So she fixed it, but now I was at owing 0.

Really I kept calling for help during week and of course kept hearing automated voice--will be with you shortly..well eventually after speaking to a plumber who said keep calling city link since it IS THE CITY ISSUE with water line..ended up calling Forsyth Rooter Service.. Thomas says still TRY CALLING the city even though it may be several hours..whew back up caused by city so since Thomas was there used their service and hopefully and prayerfully City Link may "help" with the bill ??? will try calling and see

They let anyone cut off your water no questions asked but then to turn it back on, they ask for everything. Ridiculous. Then when you cancel your service, all the employees have different responses. I was told I have no Balance but that was a lie. Did not receive a bill in the mail at all. Now it's in collections. The city of Winston Salem is just money hungry and doesn't care about its people.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They tried to charge me over $700 when I lived in Winston. They supposedly sent people out to take a better reading on the meter and apparently concluded that the reading was accurate and there must be a leak (after me constantly calling to get updates, they said they'd let me know when they were done with the investigation by knocking on my door or leaving a note on my doorknob but did not) Had a plumber come out, no leak. They only started to take me seriously when I told them I was talking to a lawyer. Eventually my landlord took care of it and they lowered the bill. About 2 months later I got a letter in the mail saying that the $700 charge was an error ,and that I would be receiving a credit of that amount to my account. That was the last straw for me, I realized now they never actually sent people out to take a more accurate reading and just lied and said they did. I moved back to my home town. An absolute wretched organization.

Very frustrating trying to get through to anyone on city link. We had a water issue and could not get anyone on the phone. The recording listed the hours as open, but then no answer and disconnects. I put a comment through on the city link app even though there wasn't an option specifically for water/utilities. I did get a response back through the app 3 days later, which was useless by this point. There is only one number to call, but you can't get through to anyone.

Working on water lines in Kernersville, NC and just got cussed out by 2 City of Winston-Salem employees trying to turn left on Oakhurst to get to my house. I have never seen employees of City of Winston-Salem be so rude. Why are they not letting people into their homes. They are working at the end where Mountain Street crosses. Why are they not letting people down Oakhurst. They were cussing at everyone and laughing and smoking cigarettes. City of Winston-Salem, great display of your employees in Kernersville, NC. Yall definitely need new management.

Where do I start... Firstly,Your automated payment system is horrendous! Takes forever to give you a second to give your answer or respond, God forbid you make a mistake. Pain in the a$$. Whoever is in charge of cleaning the streets, side of the roads, must be on vacation, permanently! Have never seen such messy, dirty streets, trash EVERYWHERE. Person who picks up my recycling dumps trash everywhere, leaves it for us to pickup.. No brush pickup, things sit out in yards for 3-6 months! No idea what goes on down there but it's not working. Smh.
