I used them to get my house. It was easy and they were clear. No hiccups along the way

Was 40 minutes late to closing. Did not get preview package so reading through everything for the first time was painful.

We are 45 + days past our closing, as the sellers. The payment to our mortgage company has not been made. This was only identified after a credit check was completed by us. Stewart Title has not reissued a new check after being notified of problem. That notification is 14 days and counting. My credit score is down about 100 points due to the issue. No urgency from Stewart to get their problem resolved. My recommendation is to work with another title company. I will with future transactions.

If there was a minus star they would certainly get it!! Terrible company to do business with... we trusted our closing from a home we sold with them.. a year later we found out the loan was not properly closed by someone who was incompetent to carry over a number from one page to another leaving us with $18,000.00 owing. Also they produced a false clear title to new owners... do not do business with them if at all possible!!
