The Cary Theater

A gem right in the heart of Cary. This theater is not close to me but it’s worth the drive to see independent movies. You can always count on The Cary Theatre for interesting entertainment at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Quaint little theater in downtown Cary. They don't just show current movies. They often feature popular movies from yesteryear, international, and movies making the award show circuit. The variety and options is a real treat. 5/5.

I brought a group of seniors for the Storytelling festival, and we had a blast! The coordination with the staff directing traffic and the ushers inside helping us all get kudos! We will be back for future events for sure! Thank you!!

Outstanding hospitality by the staff. It was our first visit and we drove over an hour for the show and I am SO glad that we did! Bravo!

Wonderful small theatre. Beautiful space, smallish seats, keeping an eye out for more fiction movies (vs documentaries)

An awesome local venue. We went to watch Sunday Jazz. Its the 1st Sunday each month at 3pm. An excellent way to finish off the weekend!

Wonderful local theater, film, comedy , and music! Really great experience! Just saw Azeem comedy show and it was fantastic. This is really a great gem in downtown Cary.

We didnt see a show here but the grandpa out in front wearing a blue shirt was very nice and showed the gf and I around. She told us the story of how the theater came to be. Even told us some good places to park! He told us he was the president of the story teller club. An adorable grandpa, we will definitely come back and check out the the club and comedy club!

Love The Cary. They show indie movies and have an awesome Halloween Series and Christmas Series.

Really not a BIG jazz fan but I really enjoyed this. Superlative musicians. I have NEVER seen or heard a bass player like him.

Really nice, almost shiny and with a very nice staff. Small but charming, in a way the Carolina Theater is not. Ten times nicer than AMC.

Had an awesome time doing the White Christmas film. It was a sing along and the theater gave us a bell and card with additional instructions for interaction during the show! Such fun!

What a lovely theater! We were greeted by very friendly people as soon as we walked in the door. Our tickets were a bargain at $6 each and there were tasty beer and wine options available right inside the theater. The theater was comfortable and the film (The Kingmaker) was excellent. Can't wait to get back there soon!

Great selection of movies. What they play isn't showing anywhere else around. Indies & kids offerings, live concerts & comedy, all in an intimate theater. Great service and they even provide clean blankets if you get chilly! Check out Brew coffee shop which is connected to the theater and sells the theaters snacks & packaged popcorn as well as a small menu with nice options. Local beer selection. Chill, fun vibe!

Tonight was my first time at Cary Theatre but it won't be my last! It is a small, cozy place showing mostly indie films. You can purchase specialty coffee or wine along with snacks to bring with you while you watch the show! If you get chilly, they have clean blankets for you to use! Highly recommend!

Friendly, welcoming little hometown theater. Movies, stand-up comedy, concerts, etc. Compact and cozy venue; very comfortable. Concession offers a variety of goodies - not your standard movie theater fare. Nestled in Cary's newly renovated downtown area with interesting little restaurants and great ice cream nearby. After the movie, buy some ice cream and stroll down Academy Street toward the Cary Arts Center. Hang out by the fountain and people-watch. Very pleasant, safe, and down-home.
