Roper Mountain Science Center

I HAD to get a membership this year, my kids ABSOLUTELY LOVE going! Favorite time of the week. There is so much to see and so much to do, you'll never be bored.

Alesandro love spending his bday here exploring thru the Dinosaur adventure trail, the Roper Mountain Science Center have change tremendously since I last came here, so much things to explore and learn so happy we have this great place in the city of Greenville and the upstate of South Carolina

Came to Roper Mountain for a school field assessment. The kids enjoyed it with the interactive activities that described and demonstrated light, energy, and understanding communication without using words. The instructors were kind and patient with our kids. Very knowledgeable in information and using the tools and resources available that kept the kids engaged.

On-site, they have a planetarium, a theater, dinosaur experience outside, and a separate building for environmental/earth science resources. It was engaging to our STEM kids to understand how energy travels, light is generated, and how to use other forms of communication besides words.

Always a fun and educational time at RMSC!! It's one of our favorite family spaces. Thank you to the workers who do so much!!

Our visit was absolutely fantastic. The kids loved being able to explore and interact with the animals at the science center, enjoyed lunch at the cafe, and really liked the nature exchange. We ended up coming back two days later so they could exchange more items they found. The staff and volunteers were friendly and very helpful.

I really appreciate the way the facility was laid out and allowed students to follow their curiosity. We are excited to do some of the programming and classes during the school year!

It was amazing. I went to three of the presentations. The presentations were entertaining, interesting, and cerebral. I will be attending the laser show on July 20th. It’s summertime so parents and kids alike enjoyed themselves immensely. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The place is clean and there is no eating inside the presentation area.

If you are looking for a great afternoon trip with the family this is your stop! The have lots of learning and interactive exhibits and it spans across multiple buildings. As well as a outdoor playground and dinosaur themed area. The really nice thing is children can get a free lunch, but for the parents a heads up bring cash because they only accept cash or check for food no cards.

Chaperoned my daughter on a field trip here and I was blown away with this place! The field trip was so well run, the facilities are beautiful, the kids we're engaged and learning the entire time! We had a great time and I can't wait to come explore more!!

Wonderful first time experience with our kids today! Lots of great activities for kids of all ages. Highly recommend a visit! Great value for money, too!

Went today for laser days of shows they have for 2 weeks in August. I enjoyed it so much and the employee Lisa is so wonderful. She went above and beyond to make this special. My son had so much fun!!! The host/narrator said we were the most outgoing and lively group so far after 6 shows.

All of the staff were awesome and full of knowledge to share. From stingrays to corn snakes they knew their facts and gladly taught our family and answered questions. Wonderful experience. Definitely plan to be here for several hours if you can!

We always look forward to visiting the Roper Mountain Science Center. There is so much to see and learn every time we go. My girls love visiting the butterfly garden and the beautiful flowers. It looks amazing in the springtime with everything blooming. I do not have a green thumb, so it is so wonderful to be able to explore the variety of plants and just enjoy nature.

I took a 4 day training at Roper Mountain called Science PLUS. It was amazing! I learned so much, and the instructors and the organizers were so kind and hospitable.

Such a great place for kids AND adults (but especially kids). I took my niece and nephew when they visited from England. My nephew was running around the dinosaur trail, pointing and jumping with excitement when he was able to see his favorite dinos in "real" life. My little niece was braver than I, and was able to hold a huge python with the care of a lovely staff member. I hadn't been to Roper Mountain in about 30 years, and it was such a pleasure going back.

Great little science center with interactive exhibits. My 3 year old LOVED seeing all the dinosaurs on the trail. They have a little cafeteria where you can buy water and sodas. They also give the kids a free lunch which was such a surprise and an added bonus!

I am so thankful my call was routed to Brandie today!! I called the main line to inquire about an event that would be inclusive for my son with cerebral palsy. Brandie took time to speak with me about various events available to our family and was extremely pleasant. She provided lots of detailed information and was very helpful. Thank you Brandie!!

We visited this this place on a Friday am during the dinosaur exhibition it wasn’t crowed. My kid really enjoyed it. It has a lot of things to see & explore not only the Dino trail ! Stingrays fishes butterfly garden ect

Always great! Become a member - it is worth it. Been going to second Saturdays for years - great place to create family memories. Camps are great. Planetarium and ovservatory are great. Wish they were still doing the Cjristmas lights! New building going up looks like a great addition. Staff and volunteers make your visit enjoyable. Don't forget to visit the farm!
