Himalayan Grill & Bar

We had an awesome meal here. Everything we ate was delicious. Loved the naan, chicken korma, samosas, butter chicken, and grilled lamb. A great spot to get Indian food if you are in the area. One of the best places for Indian food I have been to in the triangle.

We went for the lunch buffet and were really impressed. There were a lot of options, and an entire section of vegetarian choices. The food was continously refilled and replaced so everything on the buffet was fresh. We enjoyed getting to try a lot of different dishes, and were happy with the variety of spice levels, too. The veggie pakora was the highlight for me, as well as a spicy vegetable dish I don't know the name of, but everything was really flavorful. For the omnivores, my husband said the lamb curry was the best he's ever had. The employees were also very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back for this lunch buffet.

Saturday evening at the Himalayan Bar and Grill. Pompadoms with two dips were complimentary. We ordered Palak Paneer and Lamb Kadhai with naan. Very tasty food. The naan was not the best we have had, it was ok. The dining room is HUGE and did not feel very cozy but we will be back to try the lunch buffet soon.

Update April 19, 2024: My husband and I went to Himalayan Grill and Bar again today and we did get the free buffet as promised to make up for the overcharge last time. The food was amazing as always and the employees are super friendly every time we visit. We will be back because the food is just that good!!
April 12, 2024 My husband and I love this place, food is always great and staff is super friendly. But today when my husband went to pay, they charged him for 3 buffets instead of 2 on his credit card and told him they didn't know how to fix it. Said that his next buffet would be free and that he'd remember him (since we do go there often). If they do remember and give us a free buffet next time, I'll update this review and give 5 stars for Service.

The service was good. The food was excellent (Chicken Tikka grilled was amazing). The tea was the best I've ever had.

Food was delicious. Excellent service. Every dish was unique and tasty. Out favorite was the Nepali Lamb Choila was unique with a wonderful pungent mustard flavor. The Nepali Khashi and the boti kebab are also a must try. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Sunday lunch buffet was great!!! They have regular and bufffet dining (buffets fri-sun for lunch) and do catering as well. My favorites were the naan and tikka masala. The samosas were huge. For $17 for the buffet it is aaaabsolutely worth it unless you just really dont want to eat much haha. The staff were very friendly as well so I definitely recommend!

We are both from Anglo-Saxon roots so we do not know about Indian or Nepalese cuisine. Our kids told us about this place and we are so happy we tried! We went for lunch during the week early so there was hardly anybody but I heard that the restaurant can get really packed on weekend and some evenings. They do not take reservations. We absolutely loved our waitress, Pramisha, she was so sweet and caring , my husband got the jhanako dahl ( he asked for no salt and mildly spicy) and they specially cooked it this way for him apparently because we had to wait a bit. We really appreciated the fact that they paid attention to our request because a salty meal would make him really uncomfortable afterwards, his Dahl was cooked just perfectly for his taste. I had the chili momo with chicken which was just amazing! We also ordered naan (kind of bread) and it was so fresh and crispy. What a wonderful experience we had! We will be back for sure to try new dishes at the Himalayan Grille! You can also order to take home and they deliver as well.

Delicious food. Decor is ok. The wait staff are super nice. I ordered chicken 65, chicken biryani, chicken masala, palak paneer, and garlic naan bread!

The buffet on Fri-Sat-Sun 11:30 -1:30 is always a favorite or during the week you can't go wrong with the Vindaloo and Momo's 😍🤤

The food at the party was fantastic and plentiful. We loved your food so much. I must mention that your dishes, like goat curry, veg curry, Pulaao, and Rusgulla, were the best in town.We are happy to have you at the best price with high quality. I can't wait to order it again for another special event.

Let me just say! I don’t know what you one star are talking about but ooooh my goooodness!!! You must come come here! The food was pack full of flavor! The restaurant was nice and relaxing! The owner is super nice, & had us laughing! The server was the nicest woman, and very on top of it. There was not a single moment we did feel like we were not taken care of! Oh and the dessert was the highlight of my meal!! We will be back asap!!!

Stopped in after visiting the local Lantern Festival. The restaurant didn't have many customers in it, but the service was super friendly and the food... the food was truly divine. Honestly some of the best food I have ever had. They know how to use their tandoori ovens. Try this place regardless of if you have ever had Indian or Nepalese food or not

The food is out of this world. Great portions for a fair price. I am going to start coming to this place regularly. The Lamb Boti Kabab was a beautiful flavor explosion with an amazing presentation. They make it fresh and takes about 30 minutes to prepare. The Naan was wonderful. The Soup was delicious! and... leave room for some tasty desserts.

The place is located in a older strip mall which has definitely turned over a few times. The restaurant itself is very spacious which can work against it as I would be amazed if it ever had a super busy feel.

We had 3 entrees, garlic naan, and dessert and it came to about $70. Worth every penny IMHO.

The BEST Nepali/Indian cusine in town!!

I went on a Sunday to try their buffet menu and it was so delicious with wide range of food to choose from. Really liked their momo, tandoori, lentil soup and homemade icecream. The price was very reasonable too. Would definitely go again!!!

I was in Cary for work and found a wonderful Indian-Nepali restaurant. I was the only one dining in due to the pandemic but what a special treat. I had the best samosas outside of India and a Madras chicken dish that was tender and tasty. I can't wait to visit again and look forward to enjoying their buffet when it is up and running again.
