I had hip surgery here on a Friday and stayed overnight, leaving Saturday morning. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and the people.

Upon entering, two very cheery and lovely women greeted and helped me out. I was all out of sorts - so it’s amazing what a joyful person can do to change your entire day. Thank you ladies. Every single person from front desk to nurses to security were nothing short of amazing. All were pleasant and kind. It’s crazy, a lot of people seem to do the bare minimum at their job and EVERY person here just seemed genuine and went above and beyond to help us out.

The anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist put me at ease and set excellent expectations.

Upon waking, I was in quite a bit of pain. Whomever was there to help got me out of pain immediately and comfortable.

I’ll write a review of my surgeon Dr. Folk under his own page because sir, bravo. 👏 I’m speechless. Absolutely astounding at his craft and I’m beyond appreciative.

The overnight room was comfortable and a great place to stay. All of the nurses were super attentive and kept me comfortable, helped me in and out of my bed, got me food and drinks, etc. Thank you ladies - I appreciate all of your help and was sooooo glad they had me stay overnight because I needed their help.

A++ facility and staff - huge huge thanks to everyone!!! Thank you!!!

Family beginnings and lactation team are great. I had a wonderful experience with delivering two babies here. Lactation office is phenomenal. Easy to make appointments and quick to call back to answer my breastfeeding questions!

I was scheduled to have my 3rd c section here at patewood (first 2 were at greenville mem.) And I actually had to come in at 3am 3 days early because baby boy decided he wasn't waiting any longer. I went from "hmmm do I need to go to the hospital?" to laying on the table, being sown up and looking my son in the eyes, in less than 6 hours. EVERY single employee I encountered from the moment I walked in that hospital was just amazing. So friendly and helpful and informative. Dr. Haddon (spelling?) did my c section amd tube removal and was phenomenal. I don't know what she did different but in alot of ways this c section recovery has been easier than my first 2. And that makes all the difference when you have 3 kids to look after. Nurse Erin was especially awesome. She was sweet and empathetic and we got to talk to her for a bit overnight because it was very slow and our conversation was funny and interesting and brought me great comfort. I wouldn't change a thing about our visit, in fact, I wish I had had my other 2 kids here as this was the last one for me haha.

My experience with prisms Patewood has been phenomenal. Simone was my nurse last night and she was great she went above and beyond. She really takes pride in her job. She made sure I was well taken care of.

Absolutely the best birthing experience I remember ever having. Nurses Bailey, Julie, Jazmyn and Marilyn or Maryanne (I'm sorry if I'm spelling it wrong) especially went above & beyond their obligations to ensure we were comfortable and as confident as possible. Although every staff member was awesome, I can't remember the lactation specialists name either unfortunately but she and one of the night nurses I think God sent me as a guardian angel (bcuz no one seems to know who she was and she wasn't my assigned night nurse that was Nicole) saved my breastfeeding experience and restored my self esteem alongside the support I was surprisingly getting from my husband @TerrillBradford when our daughter wasn't latching. He originally was against breastfeeding but after our stay at Patewood he's been great about it.. my husband was encouraged to be apart of every detail too which was a totally new experience for him as well. We were so anxious because this is our first baby in over 12yrs, we've never had a baby in S.C. at all and with the news changing daily on this pandemic, there was alot to consider but everyone was great, compassionate and understanding. I would definitely recommend this hospital!!

My mom had spinal fusion surgery here a few weeks ago. She is now recovering better than any of us could have hoped. Before her surgery she was in absolute agony due to a pinched nerve in her spine. She was in so much pain that she was losing her will to live. Thankfully, her surgeon was able to fix the issue. The nurses who took care of my mom after her surgery were wonderful. They even held her hair back when the anesthetic made her nauseous. Her room was super spacious and had a full handicap accessible restroom. I use a wheelchair, and I want that bathroom in my house. Thank you very much to all the prisma health staff who took care of my mom, our family will be forever grateful!

I had major surgery at Prisma Patewood on 7/13/22. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, professional and caring. The anesthesiologist for the surgery was the best I have encountered. Prior to taking me into surgery she told me that she would treat me as if I were her mother or aunt, which was so comforting. As a nurse myself, this is something I have strived for in caring for my own patients. Nurse Paulina took great care of me during my overnight stay. I received top notch care. My husband was kept updated by text message throughout the lengthy surgery. Highly recommend Prisma Patewood!

Amber L is an amazing nurse.
She took great care of me during my stay at Patewood Hospital.
Not only did she make me feel well cared for, She made sure that my delivery was as close to what I wanted as possible.
She basically brought my son into this world, (this is my first baby) while making me feel confident and gave me the Tough love I needed during the beginning of the delivery process.
Very important note- she made sure I had ample snacks, as well as made me as comfortable as possible during labor. (I labored in a tub)
She was so kind, and sympathetic, while also keeping me focused, as she and my husband helped me through my delivery.
When transferred to the postpartum room, Amber came and checked on me.
I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse, a better companion, and in that moment a really amazing friend.
Thank you Amber, for your love, your help, and your amazing self, as you gave me the most beautiful gift in the world. My son Elias.
All my love,
Elle

This review solely applys to my experience given birth vie c section. I cant recommend them more for a scheduled c section. Ive experienced a lot of trauma’s in my life. Many involving guns and near death experiences all that to say I would redo some of my traumas in a heart beat over having a c section again. This explains how hard the procedure itself was but how highly I applaud and recommend the surgeons, doctors, and all involved in the procedure. They were extremely kind, frequently, encouraging me, and kept the process moving efficiently. From the time we opted for a c-section to the time I was in the transport bed it was under 5 minutes! Parts of labor up to this were very difficult. This was a blessing amidst many challenges and I think you chld consider this hospital for any scheduled c section. Cant imagine a place doing the procedure better. everything was beyond commendable.

We haven’t even left the hospital yet and I couldn’t wait to write a review. 100000/10 experience. Bailey, our L&D nurse, is an Angel. Her, along with Dr Hill, gave me the most amazing birth experience. Every single nurse has been unbelievably helpful and made me feel so confident. My husband and I have felt heard, supported, and loved from the second we walked in. Their number 1 concern is our well-being and that truly eases a new moms mind. We could not be happier with our experience thus far!

I delivered my son at Patewood and had a great experience. We recently moved to the are so my other children were born at two different hospitals and I’ve got to say that out of the three experiences, Patewood was the smoothest and most pleasant labor and delivery experience. The facility is really nice and the staff even nicer.. Our nurses in L&D were Taylor and Susan who were both awesome! Once we moved down to recovery, we had Erin as our nurse who was the best. Also loved the pediatrician (Or maybe NP) Annie.

Very clean building. Prestigious Staff and it is a teaching facility as well. The Staff there are very attentive to a patient needs. Upon entering, I became short of breath. The Staff immediately went into Emergency mode. I could not have asked for a better experience. They showed that they care. At Facility with A+ Staff. I recommend it highly.

I had my baby in October and the care I received was amazing! The doctor who performed my c-section did a great job, and the two nurses who took care of me the two nights after, Hanna and Melissa, are so helpful! They had shared the most baby care and post-op advice! Those two ladies need a raise!
Thank you Patewood!

I had my baby here yesterday and I can’t say enough good things about this hospital and their employees. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Doctors, nurses, office staff, kitchen staff, even the security guy delivered some shoes my husband sent to my room because my feet were very swollen and he took off my shoes and helped me put on the new ones. Thank you all for a great stay.

We delivered our baby girl at this hospital in December of 2020. The experience was AMAZING. During labor, the nurses were so kind and I had basically no wait time for the epidural. They have huge rooms with big tubs and all the things you might need to help with pain management. The nurses (I had Suzanne) were AMAZING. I felt so at ease and they coached me through it all. Can't say enough about Suzanne! Dr. Moore was also amazing - he delivered our baby girl. After delivery, we had many nurses during our hospital stay all of which were great but I'd like to send love to Elizabeth. She was so kind and helped our baby who had to be under bilirubin lights for a second time. The food was also amazing (I'm gluten free) and everyone was so kind. Would deliver there again for sure!

I will shout from the hilltops how amazing this place is. I had to deliver 3 weeks early, and baby had some complications. The team worked tirelessly to keep her out of the NICU downtown and had more compassion and kindness than I have ever seen in medical staff. The doctors, nurses, and even the people that greet you and check you in are phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here!

I had my second baby here and would consider having another just to come back! The hospital is beautiful and clean and I loved all the nurses and staff. We were so well taken care of, I didn’t want to leave. The L&D rooms were great and I loved having a nice view of trees outside my window. Everyone from the lactation consultants to the cafeteria staff were helpful and kind. I wish everyone’s birth experience could be so nice!
