I’ve been a patient here with Dr. Kahn & Katie for over a year and couldn’t be happier with all the progress I’ve made with them. I did TMS treatments here for my depression and had phenomenal results! After 15+ years of being on anti-depressants, I was actually able to come off of them completely. I’ve carried on with treatment for my ADHD and continue to work with them monitoring my overall mental health.
What I really love about Dr. Kahn is that she has a “whole body” outlook with her practice- she knows how mental health and physical health inevitably affect each other, and offers many avenues for treatment.
I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

We have worked with Dr Khan for several years now. She is phenomenal. She listens and gives us helpful feedback. She goes the extra mile to communicate with other providers and talks to my teen using easy to understand language. Dr Khan’s child-centered practice has helped us through some difficult times. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Khan and her associates have seen my child since covid times. They are always responsive to my messages. They also listen to my concerns and feedback from my child during sessions. When my child had a crisis situation, Dr. Khan checked in on the weekend and followed up with an appointment the following week. It was a scary situation and we were grateful for her input.

I could not be more grateful that Dr. Khan entered our lives! Our son has made more progress in the short 6 months she’s been involved in his care than he did the 2 years prior, when we started this journey. She listens, provides honest feedback and takes great pride in her work. She always seems to have a plan; a short-term plan, long-term plan, backup plan…etc. Having her as a resource to help navigate feedback and advice coming from a multitude of directions has proven invaluable. I’m so thankful we have Dr. Khan on our “team”.

Thank you for everything you have done to help me get on the right medicine. I can sleep now and can control my behavior better. You helped me be able to talk to my parents when I get upset. A lot of adults don’t listen to kids and you did. You made me feel like I mattered. I really think you are a wonderful doctor and I will tell my friends if they ever need to see a psychiatrist to hit you up. Your awesome, from a cool 10 year old!

Dr. Khan has been a wonderful doctor for my daughter. She helped us stabilized her medication and truly listened to us and our daughters concerns. She has been a great advocate for her and truly cares about my daughter's success. We are very fortunate to have found her. From a parent.

When we initially met Dr Khan, my daughter was depressed and barely functioning. We were apprehensive about taking her suggestions, but decided to follow her advise. My daughter has transformed into an eager, ambitious, interested and engaged teenager.
Dr Khan is knowledgeable and effective. She Is patient, listens to her clients and addresses them with respect. It takes a lot of hard work, understanding and a great deal of support to raise a child up from despair. So grateful to have Dr. Khan as a member of our care team!

My 12 year old son has been seeing Dr. Khan for 2 years, and she is amazing!!!! I have nothing but huge praise for her, and I'm leaving a long detailed post here so you can understand why I feel this way and to refute the one negative review that I see here.

I must say the negative review about her seems extremely confusing - I think it must be a mix-up. She doesn't have a psychologist in her practice, and she would never send you to another Dr. She is EXTREMELY responsive to emails through the portal. She has never ever rushed us in an appointment. If anything, she spends a lot of time with us! In addition, her philosophy is to reduce medication IF IT IS SAFE - not add it (that's another strange comment in that other review - completely against her philosophy).

So what do I like about her?

We have been seeking help for my son since he was 6 years old. I knew that there was some mental illness undiagnosed in my family history the presented itself at a young age and was often ignored but led to serious issues especially in the teen years. I was not taken seriously by most professionals, but I knew he needed help We've went through 3 other psychiatrists, a neurologist, and even a chiropractor. We had negative experiences with all of them until we went out of network in desperation to another psychiatrist recommended by someone at Dell Children's ER. This last psychiatrist made a huge breakthrough after following insurance protocol which caused some serious issues but unraveled the mystery, and she was able to stabilize my son. Unfortunately, she had to pause her practice for medical leave. And here we were - just making a breakthrough for the first time in four years (he was 10 at the time) - and we were devastated and scared to have to search yet for another psychiatrist! I was afraid of my insurance recommendations, because we had such negative experience with the in-network drs.

I revisited in network options. Dr. Khan had shown up on my insurance before, but the commute was significant so I had previously disregarded her, but this time, we were more interested in finding affordable GOOD care for my son, so we decided to suck up the commute and give her a shot. As fate would have it, she happened to train in the same program with our previous psychiatrist. They knew each other, shared the same philosophy, so the transition of care was seamless! This was a HUGE answer to prayer!

My son has not only stayed stable, but he has improved under Dr. Khan's care. We have reduced his meds by half (slowly and safely) and even tried some over the counter supplements and micronutrients that seem to be working for him. In addition, I see her myself to maintain my own psychiatric needs. It's super convenient to tag team the appointments.

She is very personal, and she makes an effort and easily connects well with my son. (That was another strange comment from that negative review - she always spends one-on-one time with my son and then brings us in). He has an interest in fashion, and she always talks to him about his shoes. She has noted progress throughout our visits, and she boosts his self confidence and encourages him when she notices he needs it.

Again, I am shocked at the negative review that I saw about her, so I wanted to share in great detail what Dr. Khan has done for us. I am so thankful as we enter the teenage years to have Dr. Khan alongside us to support him. For so many years, I feared the worst and had every reason to, and I felt so helpless, because no-one had been able to help us. I am extremely blessed and thankful that we found Dr. Khan. I would be happy to talk to anyone who is researching child (or even adult) psychiatrists! The bottom line is this: child psychiatrists are quite difficult to find, and when you find a GOOD one, that's like striking gold.

I am grateful to find dr. Khan a psychiatrist who not only is knowledgeable about both eating disorders and mood disorders but to do so empathetically and cohesively while communicating with my other providers which is so important. Grateful my dr. Recommended this excellent practice.

Huge praise for office manager Farheen. She was an incredible advocate for us when our prescription coverage was suddenly denied. She is knowledgeable in the system, very empathetic, communicative, and friendly to work with!

Apparently this is not everyone's experience, but I found Dr. Khan to be dismissive, condescending, and unsympathetic. She insisted on a diagnosis that I repeatedly told her did not square with my symptoms. Despite my repeated questions and objections, she never bothered to explain why she thought her diagnosis was more consistent with the mental experiences I described (i.e., the very symptoms I came to her to relieve), which she seemed to completely ignore. It felt like she wasn't listening to a word I said; I felt very unseen. I have since been properly diagnosed and my treatment has vastly improved since then.

charges a lot of money for not a lot of help. I explained that I have been extremely busy with first semester of college and doctors appointments which is why i could not come in for an appointment with Dr.Khan. she then proceeded to basically shun me for not coming to an appointment with her since august and also refused to fill my medication until january next year, even though it is obvious i really need it. she barely let me speak the entire meeting (which she showed up late to and ended abruptly after 25 minutes) and then charged 30 dollars for sending a letter that had no information that i asked her to include and she said she would include. then ended the meeting by asking how my little brother (one of her other patients) was doing on his meds and how he has been recently. neither of us will be returning to this practice and i hope no one else does either. it is all a money grab and it seems like she couldn't care less about helping anyone under the age of 20. terrible practice, with rude staff.

I was 17 and was put fully in charge of scheduling my own online appointments, not to mention me being the actual underage patient clearly here for psychiatric purposes. Then got discharged as a patient after missing around 5 appointments in total to which Dr. Kahn told my mother that she was “wasting her time”. Dr. Khan was barely the one assessing me every time I came to my appointment and just did not seem to know how to talk me. This place is horrible, not to mention they were calling me, a minor at the time, to handle the payments that were clearly being handled my guardian because I was still a young teenager without a job obviously still living under my parents roof and rules. I think it was a horrible mistake on their part to never include my parent in the scheduling nor the payments. I myself am not a responsible person, but I shouldn’t have to be left in charge with that type of responsibility when it was not my place in the beginning, or was I of any capability without a guardian because I was still a CHILD.
