Blue Mound Police Department

Wanted to file a complaint but chief Steele said I can’t because I’m not a blue mound citizen???? But I am a Citizen.....( don’t know what that’s about ) other than that Great Fella who understands police officers should patrol more than harass and insures that blue mound PD will strive to not look different towards minorities. As a community we Can only understand what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong. So proud of the Blue mound community !

I know that's an odd rating for a jail, but, I was booked here for about 28 hours and honestly, it was nice. Now keep with me I know this isn't a typical review but the officers were very kind, they answered every question I had to the best of their abilities, they actually talked to me and my fellow cell mate like real people, they didn't treat me like a criminal but more as someone who should make better choices and it's true. Hopefully I never have to go to jail again, but if I do I'd low-key prefer it be here. 😂😂

I visited the jail last week. The decor was very nice and soothing, the staff was friendly and the menu looked appetizing.

TERRIBLE DEPARTMENT, THEY HARASS EVERYBODY. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of blue mound especially if you are African American. They will threaten to arrest you for fix it tickets. I got pulled over twice for a fix it ticket within 1 min of each other by the same officer who said he did not recognize my car. Got everything on video as well

blue mound pd are power hungry and borderline corrupt, they post pictures of people theyve arrested and include highly detailed posts to go with them mostly demeaning the individuals in the photos and wont let anyone comment on them, something that is highly embarrassing for said people and will follow them FOR LIFE. your job is to protect the area and get people the help they need, not make a joke out of them and publicly belittle them on facebook. lately there have been “wanted posters” for, mostly, very young people who havent paid tickets. be professional and handle it legally, you dont have to make a ridiculous wanted poster of them.
not only that, but they ask invasive and demeaning questions when they to pull you over to make sure you know youre that much smaller. they make you feel like you have to answer by talking to you like a bully would.
be on your best behavior while driving in blue mound, because 99 percent of the time they are watching and waiting for a reason to slap you with a fine over something small while somebody gets away with something 10x worse around the corner. I find it hilarious that they post about the disrespect for the police system, while they are openly humiliating and disrespecting the people of blue mound for no reason other than to boost their ego, get over yourselves. you are whats wrong with the police system today.

Cop followed me from my other car on Fagan that I was just pushing to blue mound road . literally sat there and waited for me to leave from a distance and then pulled me over for having to pull up to see past the shrubbery on blue mound Rd. Both of my cars are completely legal and there's nothing I did too cause suspicion. Obviously they have nothing better to do but harrass people. Would give no stars if I could.

Pathetic leadership. Acts like spoiled children. Not trustworthy at all. The chief is a spoiled child that cares more about power than his citizens.

Worst police i have ever been around.
