The best hamburgers and spicy fries in the area! Also, the best BLT and their chocolate soft-serve ice cream is scrumptious!! Shannon and his family run a top notch mom and pop restaurant! If you have not been there, you are missing out!

In Florence to pick up furniture, and drove a few extra miles to give Chat and Chew a try. Old fashioned hot dog and hamburger stand with ice cream. Worth the drive! We enjoyed everything!

Definitely gonna be a tradition every time we come to town! Great down home service with a friendly smile..& the food is even better!

Highly recommend this staple of the community! Great burgers and shakes. The Grape Freeze is my favorite and if you haven't tried it...you need to!

It's just family. Order from a window, take your white sack of goodies and find an empty booth in the cozy dining area. Be sure and cleanup after yourself.

Signs in the dining area ask that you don't allow your kids to "walk on the tables." (Suppose those county parents lets their kids walk on the table at home and when they come to town they don't know any better.)

Standard short-order grill items made to order. Soft-serve ice cream cones and other items available for dessert. Chat N Chew is plain good food from an local institution that has served generations.

Best people around love their peanut butter milkshakes BBQ sandwich is awesome also

Love this place! It is a small owner-operated cafe with great, fresh cooked food! When you are there, be sure to get one of their signature ice cream cones with the chocolate chip eyes! Oh, and the deluxe hamburger is awesome!! You can eat inside or outside on their covered patio!

Been going here since I was a little kid and it's as good as always

We moved to this area from a different part of Florence a year and a half ago and I kept passing by this place with intentions to stop and try it, I finally did about 9 months ago and ever since o go back 1-2 times a week. They have great burgers, fries, tots and shakes. They have a vast menu but that’s all I have tried because it is so good I I get a craving for their burgers often. While many places have good food they don’t all have good people and that’s what makes this place great for me, they make you feel like you’ve been good friends all your life and it’s just a pleasure to go there for the food and atmosphere. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday but open til I believe 7pm on the other 5 days. So give them a try and skip the rigged macs and sloppers and get some good food that won’t leave you feeling blah after eating it.

Awesome food. I love that it has stayed in business for many years, they keep giving us the same great food with the great taste we loved growing up and good memories.

Best cheeseburger I've had in a very long time! I'm originally from Louisiana, known for its food, but this burger by Chat N Chew was better than any burger I ever had in La!
The taste and texture reminds me of the burgers we used to get in the malt shops with bar stools & checkered floors. One of a kind flavor and just wonderful!!

Wow talk about 50s throwbacks! I love this place. Only thing missing is girls serving fries on skates in big skirts. The food is served hot and delicious the icecream awesome. They have everything I could ever want in a diner. In NYC you see cool places like this everyday but in the deep south not so much. I'm so glad I discovered this cool food joint. You just got this customers undying loyalty. See you again Chat N Chew real soon.
