This place is amazing. Being in contact with Mother Nature and all of its wonderful creatures such as bats, turtles, swans, ducks, snakes, birds and having lots of fun in the river with paddle boards, kayaks, etc., where you can spend a wonderful time just chilling with friends or making new ones it's a terrific experience.

It was an awesome experience paddle boarding in the Ladybird Lake. It was so good to so many people paddle boarding and kayaking. Water is so clear and calm which is perfect for paddle boarding. The downtown skyscrapers view was amazing. We saw lots of turtles 🐢.

Beautiful place to kayak or walk the trials. A lot of wildlife. I saw big birds idk what they were turtles that weren't snapping turtles. There's a part where water comes on from a natural spring down on of the channels so that water was very clear the river water seemed pretty clean as well. A few bridges you can jump off depending on water level some may not be wise

So easy to do kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. No swimming in the lake. Also by lots of trails if you want to combine with a run or hike.

Been here twice kayaking and paddleboarding. It's a great, fun experience and very pretty, with lots of turtles. Definitely a part of the Austin bucket list.

As an amateur photographer, the lake gives me plenty, varied subject matter to capture digitally. I used to enjoy the numerous trails as an avid athlete; over time, however, I've settled into a more leisurely pace.

The lake has a great 10 mile loop of wide hike and bike trails around it, great for runners, walkers, cyclists. Always friendly.

Great kayaking experience. We were all beginners and we had no problems. The equipment rental price is reasonable

Always a local and tourist favorite with large green spaces, running trails throughout and fun on the water options to take advantage of.

I love this place, but while my photo has Gus, our sweet boy, in the water, you should definitely keep yours OUT. There are still algae issues being worked through, and it's not worth risking it with your pup. Gus is fine, but we know a couple dog owners who have faced big vet bills because of the algae.

Great place to kayak or have a day out with friends and family. There are lots of rental places to get kayaks or boats. Additionally, lots of restaurants to dip into.

The Butler Trail around Town Lake is one of the jewels of Austin. Popular among runners and walkers. Has water fountains roughly every two miles of this crushed rock trail. Google for the map with bridge to bridge round trip distances. Highly recommended.

Ladybird Lake is one of the main places Austin that any visitor should visit. Starting from Mozart Coffee shop to downtown there are several places that you can go and either relax or rent standup paddling or kayak to enjoy your day.
