At 2:15 p.m., we had the place to ourselves, bonus. The egg drop soup is good, egg rolls perfect, and my pan fried noodles were to die for. He ordered egg fu yung (spelling?)

A very nice little place. We ordered from the lunch menu. Beef teriyaki sticks (6), chef's fried rice & chef's Lo Mein. All were really good. Beef sticks were off the appetizer but both lunch items came with soup & an egg roll. The chef's Fried rice had chicken, bbq pork & shrimp. The chef's LoMein had chicken, beef & shrimp. Bigger pieces of meat but only 1 jumbo shrimp. Only 1 shrimp in the LoMein was the only thing that needed more. Good food & great service. Will definitely be going back.

In my 35 years of existence, this might been the best shrimp fried rice I have ever experienced. The rice was so flavorful.

General Tso chicken at many places is generic, flavorless clumps of meat, but here the general tso chicken dish was much better.

I wish more chinese restaurants cared to have flavor in the food, like Mandarin Bistro does.

Picked up lunch for my coworkers today. We got the menu at the office via mail advertising so we thought we’d give it a try. Did not disappoint. Ordered the food online, was ready when we picked it up. They were very nice when I picked up the order. We got the lunch specials and it was very well priced for the food we got. Food was great and we have large portions. I have leftovers for tomorrow as well. Egg roll was great and my coworker said the Egg Drop soup was amazing! We’re definitely keeping them on our list of places to eat.

One of the best potstickers I've ever had! Eggdrop soup, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls were also very good. Owners are kind and service was good on a slower Sunday afternoon!

I moved to the city at one point, and eventually came back to the suburbs...

I can assure y'all, it's still delicious. The chicken fried rice is dark and very tasty. The sesame chicken is also delicious.

Various other dishes are also delicious, but I wanted to note, I have not had as good of fried rice as this place anywhere. It's dark, delicious, and satisfying.

Restaurant has new owners. Me and my family talked with one of the owners, and they have so many awesome visions about the place. The food was amazing and they believe in serving more authentic and healthier dishes. Give them a few months for renovation, and this place will be brand new and improved. Super nice and friendly staff. Ever since the new owners, this place is awesome. Would recommend!!!!!

Really good restaurant! We normally dine in and the food is always good and the service is always fast and friendly. But with COVID, we've been doing take out and they do a really nice job with that too. Yesterday, we had our day after Christmas, family dinner. We placed a very large and somewhat complicated order and they handled it really well! They got everything right on the order and the food was all delicious and delivered hot and right on time!!!

The best Mongolian beef and orange chicken I’ve had anywhere. I live about 30 minutes from here and I will drive all the way there just for those 2 items. There was not one item I didn’t like. Their super fast. Very nice. Love it. My kids don’t like anything and they love this place!!

I am going to be honest... I'm a lazy guy and it takes a lot for me to go and review a place, so it has to be either really good or really bad. This is my second review ever... so here it goes.

Chinese food is one of those foods where, in my experience, it all tastes similar. There is one echelon of greatness and seldom do restaurants overachieve or underachieve that mark. This was not one of those restaurants. I had the honey chicken with fried rice, and it was by far the best Chinese food I ever had. For around 12 bucks you got about 2 pounds of chicken and rice. The chicken was super crispy like a McDonald's chicken nugget on top of a layer of gooey (not liquidy) honey glaze. It was a simple combination that just worked. The fried rice was fresh and tastier than any fried rice I ever had. You can taste every element of the ancient combination that has worked for generations.

Go here, you won't regret it. There's a reason why it won the top 100 Chinese restaurants, and you'll taste why when you go here.

First time we had a take out at this place and all the food we ordered was delicious. They have a large portion and price is decent. it’s the place hidden gem in Lake Street IL strip mall.

Only 4.2 stars for this place? No way - it's 5/5 for anyone who knows anything about good food.

Their entrees are astonishingly good. I mean -- truly incredible. I don't rave about places much (check my other reviews: I'll give you the stars but I won't rave), but Mandarin Bistro is an exception among exceptions...

Get the Orange Chicken, the Dim Sum, the Singapore Curry Noodle, and the Orange Chicken.

Did I mention the Orange Chicken? This Orange Chicken will visit you in your dreams. It will meet you on your front porch after a hard day at work with ice cold lemonade. It will whisper sweet nothings in your ear. It will send your kids to college. It will buy you a convertible.

Well...maybe not all that. But seriously: the Orange Chicken is delicious, peerless, radiant -- open a thesaurus and find a positive adjective, it will describe the OC.

A word about price...I imagine the people complaining about spending a couple extra bucks for a superlative meal are the same people who measure the quality of a restaurant by how much they give you in the feedbag for the dollar - as if trying to maximize their precious "calorie-to-dollar" ratio at all times lest some sudden famine befall them and render them willowy husks of their former, rotund glory (it won't.) These are the same people who rave about the 'Golden Corral' "cuz 'o how much you get" (dysentery notwithstanding) -- the same people who eat their fake dairy Neapolitan ice cream analog from five gallon tubs atop their bare, sweaty, hairy chests while watching 'Masked Singer' -- the same people who can't differentiate margarine from real butter because it '"all tastes the same."

In other words: are you going to take your restaurant advice from someone who's only thought upon encountering an utterly life-changing and transcendent version of Orange Chicken is that it's $5 more expensive than the orange chicken at the mall? If so, you're missing the point of eating at a restaurant in the first place. Actually, you're missing the WHOLE point of being a mortal human-being living this brief, precious morsel of time on planet Earth.

Eat the chicken. Pay with a credit card. Remember the experience. Forget the money.

I can say this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. Not only the food is delicious, the environment is calm with some soothing music playing in the background. The customer service is second to none, you will be treated like family when you are there. I am a "regular" now and will be for a very long time!!!
