Rollin at D&D

Have lived in Evanston for four years before finally eating here. Best kept secret in town.

The sandwiches are huge, I tried the pesto chicken which was easily large enough for two people to share.

Arguably the most important element of a great sandwich is the bread and the ciabatta here is perfection. Crispy, crackly exterior with the appropriate amount of soft interior. The ratio of chicken, pesto, arugula, cheese is just right, with a tart vinaigrette to add plenty of acidity.

Absolutely one of the best sandwiches in town.

Best sandwiches around. They serve both hot and cold and they always come with a small bag of chips. It’s in a grocery store so you can purchase other items as well. Great local spot that uses TLC in what they do.

This place is near my office and they have the best sandwiches. I particularly love that they have options for vegetarian sandwiches. The Paulie Walnuts portobello mushroom sandwich is my absolute favorite. They also have some of the best roast beef around. their staff are really friendly and helpful!

This place is a gem. I visit it all the time for their delicious sandwiches and unique packaged goods. The sandwiches are HUGE, a bang for your buck for sure. Lots of good drinks too.

The gourmet sandwiches are absolutely delicious here. Current favorites are the Michael Flatley and the Yawdi. The side of homemade chips is the icing on the cake. Chefs kiss! It can get pretty busy and the Sammie’s are made to order, so if you’re in a hurry, do yourself a favor and order in advance on-line.

This place has it all and everyone is knowledgeable and kind. Sandwiches are excellent, food is fresh and always in stock and so is the beer selection.

Our go-to for a hearty deli sandwich in Evanston. I would say one of the best values in the North Shore and near Chicago in general. The chips they make in-house are included with the sandwich and are phenomenal. This place is always consistent with their quality and is a staple for lunch!

Deli sandwiches made fresh and like homemade using quality ingredients. I never had a bad meal at D&D's.

If you are in Evanston and you want good clean food, you can’t go wrong with D&D. I’ve been going here since College in the 90’s but just recently started eating their subs. At work, we order once a week. I recommend the baller.

Fell in love with the sandwiches here. Then I come to pick them up and the store experience is a bonus. Their ingredients are top, the selection of foods, fresh and packaged is great. I wish we had a store and deli like this by us.

D&D is a great local food & liquid market. They carry just about everything you need for your home, both fresh and frozen.

So I guess I didn't get the memo? I only recently discovered the relocated Rollin inside the D&D market. All these years I've been missing the old lunch time favorites. Still the best sandwiches in Evanston. They have the homemade chips too! Order ahead on the website to save time.
