Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City

I've been going to the Hard Rock since it opened. I love the artifacts displayed and the fact they change them.
The rooms are spacious, but do wish they had microwaves.
Gaming floor staff are attentive and friendly. They have some good promos too.

We were travelling and because the hotel was close to the highway we stopped. It is a fun place, lots to look at, a casino to play in. The rooms are cool and a little unusual.
My one gripe, we had the bad luck to pick the night when the restaurant was closed. Our only option in the hotel was fast food in the casino. There are restaurants around the area, but we were sick of driving. I still recommend staying if you can.

I don’t know what’s better in this place, the good vibes or the good odds of winning every time I come in here. My wife and I absolutely love this place. We win almost every time we come, and the staff are kind and friendly to us. I recommend anyone who is from CITY, or just passing through to come check out how cool this place really is. Thank you Sioux City for bringing it here to us all almost a decade ago! See you soon.

This place is great. I love to stay here when I’m in town the staff is courteous and helpful. The only issue I had was my room could’ve been a little cleaner. Last time was here the room was immaculate, but I had a rockstar, sweet, so maybe that’s why. And with all the rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia it’s a really unique place to visit.

Our daughters gave us a gift of 2 nights at the hotel. Our room was amazing. We enjoyed staying. Nicole was awesome at the front desk. Enjoyed meals in the Fuel American Grill. Gambled a little & explored Sioux City. A fun getaway.

I am getting ready to have a big medical procedure done and my husband has been a champ at taking me to my appointments and driving me all over the place.

I wanted to surprise him with a little getaway for Valentine's Day/A. Thank you to him for that. So I jumped online and looked for places that were fairly close to home and found the Hard Rock Casino in Sioux City and decided that I would book a room for us there.

When I was looking at the website I noticed that they had a gastro pub restaurant and they were offering a Valentine's Day menu which had New York strip steak on it, which is my husband's favorite. The restaurant is called Main and Abbey.

We arrived for our reservation that was for 8:00 p.m. at 7:50 and we were seated immediately. It was brought to our attention by our waitress that our table had not been cleaned. So she immediately went and grabbed a rag and a dry rag and came back and cleaned our table off for us.

Are waitresses name was Cali C. We ordered the New York strip steak medium well with Parmesan, garlic fries and a side of their Brussels sprouts. The steak came out cooked to perfection. It was very juicy. Very tender. Not a lot of fat. The french fries were perfectly seasoned with a garlic and the parmesan and the Brussels sprouts had the perfect amount of walnuts and pomegranate drizzle on them and they were perfectly crispy.

Cali C. Our waitress was very bubbly, helpful, personable, attentive and just overall a great waitress.

When we got done eating we decided that we were going to just walk around the casino and check out all of the different things that they have there from different music artists and things like that. And we found a lot of dresses and shirts and guitars and things of that nature that were from music talent from the past and the present.

We decided that we are going to gamble a little bit and played a few different machines and ended up having a really good time gambling one just a little bit of money back and when we were getting ready to leave we decided that since we even gambling for quite a few hours that we were going to grab something to eat before we went back up to our room and we grabbed a cheeseburger from the little restaurant called fuel and that food was very good. Even though they were close to closing they still took our order. Still were very kind and made us our order and made it available to go.

Very neat place. They allow drinking at the slot machines. I thought it was a bit smoky but that is just my opinion. Otherwise it had a huge selection of machines and table games to choose from.

Restaurant was closed which was a bummer. The little quickie diner is good if you want microwavable food. Expensive and honestly not worth the money at all. This was the biggest disappointment here. I was surprised that there was barely anyone there!

The casino was great I hit a couple times it wasn't all that big but I made my money back and I was happy

Hard Rock is awesome! Love going there when I have extra money. Atmosphere is great. Food is great! Waitresses are very nice! Everyone that works at the Hard Rock are knowledgeable and informed and helpful. Slots are 🔥. Great place to have some fun!

We stopped in on a whim to see if we could get a room. The girl at the front desk was great and her manager as well. Room was great and every other staff member was helpful. Would go back again

I stopped in to do a little bit of gambling while passing through the area. It was a nice layout with alot of variety of games. Definitely would go again if in the area.

This is great place to pass time and waist your money!!! Casino never pays out money but you can enjoy drinks, food and friends

Best place to blow a few bucks! I'll always stop by on my way through town.

From the moment you walk in you are surrounded by rock and roll memorabilia. Ironically they had a Prince, which included notebook with hand written lyrics, an outfit he wore at a concert in England and the guitar he played at that same concert. But the real rockstar of the evening was Bailey! She was so helpful and professional. Hard Rock give that girl a raise! And find more employees like her. Bailey thanks again!

Nice place very clean everywhere you go. The entire place is like a museum for music mainly rock items and signatures. The slots don't seem to be too loose but probably just my luck.
It's always fun even if you lose you never lose, doesn't matter! it's a nice place staff is friendly and plenty of space inside, it's a great venue for the concerts, comedians and all the shows that they put on there and there's always plenty of parking as well.
UPDATE: Halloween'23
within last 48 hours and three trips to the casino I'm up well over a thousand dollars and have achieved the top tier of the loyalty program "Double Platinum".
Thanks Hard Rock and staff. You are all awesome and so welcoming. I love the effort and care you all go out of your way to show!

UPDATE: as of the first (1/1/2024) they will be open 24/7 again!

We recently came for a stay for veteran's day weekend (gotta take advantage of the 3 day weekend). There are multiple entrances to the casino which don't route you through the hotel, which is nice if you're stopping through on a day trip.

We came in early to check it out before checking in. All staff were extremely pleasant, even at the front desk; despite what I've seen in previous reviews (we obviously knew check in time; based on the simple fact that google exists.. and we just confirmed it with the friendly folks at the front desk.)

I will say that initially, walking in, there appeared to be a vagrant hanging out right in one of the entrances (not the lobby entrance). Which, while not an immediate "no." for us could be a turn off for some. However, when we returned a few hours later after a trip to the near by mall, they were no longer there.

The hotel itself is amazing. It's in an old factory/building/warehouse, and the rooms are gorgeous. Original brick walls on one side of each room, with wooden beams and panelling (the next floors flooring panels) on the ceiling, and on the 4th floor (the top floor), you get beautiful vaulted ceilings and a nice big window and armchair (which we were lucky enough to be placed in). Plus, the bathrooms are really nice with great showers and my husband said the water pressure and heat were incredible.

Upon check-in, we were greated by the same lovely staff that we had talked to initially, with a smooth check in process. They also provided us with 2 vouchers for free drinks anywhere on the property, as well as a doorman that moved some things around in order to secure us a parking spot right next to the entrance to the lobby. This exemplary service was provided by all staff throughout the course of the night, both on the casino floor and at the restaurant on site. I intend to leave a separate review for the restaurant, as I had the pleasure to experience the single best cut of meat I've ever had, with their filet mignon. As well as great service and a comped dessert.

The casino floor was nice. Plenty of modern games and tables. Not too tight, not extremely loose. Didn't win big, but such is life. Service at the bars was very prompt. My only gripe, (and reason for reduction of one star) is that it WAS veteran's day and my husband is a vet. We weren't asked (apart from when I signed up for the players card) if either of us were veterans. We later realized that veterans are able to get beer for 4 dollars cheaper than we were paying for them all night, so we lost out on about 40ish dollars (we were getting rowdy that night.)..I wouldn't expect them to ask all the time, but on veteran's day weekend? But that's really my only negative on the service, otherwise very friendly prompt service.

The only other downside is location, and that's honestly not really on Hard Rock as a company. Downtown Sioux City is really just dead. None of the restaurants open until 4 downtown, so don't go down there thinking you can just spend the day walking around slightly off property, you will have to drive for food. But, if you arrive in the evening anyhow, shouldn't really be an issue.

The customer service was outstanding. The rooms are so clean and comfortable! This is a must stop and stay and play hotel and casino!

I was making a last minute drive through Sioux City with my significant other, animal trailer, and dogs. The rooms were a surprise on how lovely modern, and dog friendly they were. The front desk staff was accommodating and professional, the parking ramp is a little bit far from the hotel but that wasn't horrible. Booking the room over the phone was a little bit long, but otherwise a very good experience and I would recommend this hotel and casino for a stop or maybe even a quick little vacation.
