New China Fair Restaurant

Did the buffet, so really didn't need service. Food was great. Same restaurant from when I was a teen in the 80's... Nothing has changed. It is clean and kept up, you wouldn't know this if you were there your first time :) I would recommend this restaurant. I've been coming here since the 80s and continue to enjoy it to this day!

This places egg rolls are the best I've ever had. Always on point. Every single time. The front desk lady is always pleasant and professional. Do not to anywhere else in town for chinese. Don't buy frozen. GO HERE. Eat. Enjoy.~~~ Egg roll is not pictured because I ate in in 30 seconds.

Love China Fair! They have my absolute favorite Tso's Chicken, and I love their buffet. The place is a Traverse City staple!

I always have the Hot and Sour soup. I think it is the best in Traverse City. Perfect mix for my taste buds.

Ah, one of my favorite Chinese Buffet places to eat. Before the new fancy one came about, on a superficial level, this was the go-to place for Chinese Buffets! However, just because some "cool" looking "fancy" place is in town doesn't mean I am going to hop on to that.

Anyway, on topic: This place has a good selection of a moderate amount of food. Always tastes great though. The owner of the place is often walking around talking to people and is a friendly fella. Talk about really getting personalized with your customers. It's like a ma and pah Chinese Buffet in that regard.

I've always liked this place and the all you can eat buffet is great! Many, many different things to choose from. Everything was very tasty. Will be going back again definitely.😋👍👍👍

Subgum Warr barr is great as is the Mongolian beef. The egg rolls aren't the greatest but swap out with hot & sour soup and you'll be happy 😊

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant around Traverse City. In the top 5 of favorite Chinese Restaurant Anywhere. Extremely good food. Very reasonable price. Calm and peaceful atmosphere. Not overcrowded......a classy place

Best and most authentic Chinese in town, no question. The owner is a super cool guy and the service is excellent. My mom and I eat here every time she comes into town.

It has been over 10 years since I have been here. Still delicious. They were extremely accommodating for our large group.

In an update to my previous experience, I found that the buffet was not well filled. The food was not hot. I was very disappointed at my visit this time. There were 6 of my family members and due to past experiences we decided to eat here. I will definitely think twice prior to choosing this restaurant.

Probably the most slippery floor in TC but if you can make it to your table the food is good. Buffet is usually worth it but I tend to go for the sweet n sour shrimp. The portions are huge and it comes with soup or egg roll.

China fair has a great buffet bar that is always being refilled with delicious good quality food. We have been coming here for years. Prices are comparable to other family restaurants. I would recommend China Fair.

The food is great, if you get the buffet the will make you more of whatever you want if you ask. Everyone there was very polite and kind. It looks small on the outside but once you go in, it is very spacious and very clean.
It is a lovely restaurant and the atmosphere is relaxed. I definitely recommend this place!

Not a big buffet, but the dishes are tasty. The place has a homey feel, and the staff are friendly. (Warning: the buffet is available only at certain hours and days. But the menu options are also good, with generous portion sizes.)

The buffet on Christmas was wonderful. The food was perfect. Unfortunately, there was a bitter Betty sitting next to us that nearly ruined our experience. Complained about every aspect of the meal, nagged her children and her poor husband. I wouldn't be surprised if she got a divorce for Christmas this year.

Ah well. Food was great, staff was delightful!

The steamed dumplings were perfect. We had a group of 6 people on an off hour and they had our dishes out quickly. The shrimp was fresh and the vegetables were crisp.

A little higher priced than others in the area but worth the extra dollar or 2 IMHO. Tea comes with buffet and a traditional blend rather than the more common Jasmin and green tea offered at other buffets. Salmon was very good, muscles were good, but would prefer them without the cheese. Like the larger shrimp on the salad bar, not the tiny size offered at most. Very satisfied with service and food. Highly recommend.
