My better half loves this store. Their handbags are crafted from recycled rugged maritime fabric used in sails. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. This weatherproof material will last forever. I am quite impressed with the quality and design. Their stores sell other products as well. I like all of the different maritime symbols and designs Sea Bags imprints onto their products. Cool stuff.

Loved this shop. The gentleman that was working was very friendly. Discussed the history of their business and ways to look up old sails. Love their goal of no sails going in landfills. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff and large selection of bags with different styles and designs. I appreciate the stores goal of reusing sails for carrying bags. The reuse of waste, is something many other places should strive for.

Very nice bags. Well made and unique. Wish handbags had more pockets, but still like them.

The woman working the day we shopped sounded kind of salty that she was not working in the store she usually works at. My sister in law was looking for a certain size, style and picture on a bag that we were told was not at this store. She said they may have it at the Camden store or you can shop on line. She never offered to call them to see if they had one. My sister in law settled for a smaller bag as she did not want to make a trip to the other store without knowing if they had one in stock since we were on a travel schedule. My suggestion, offer to call the other store, you could have made another sale instead of instructing customers to shop on line and possible added shipping and handling fees.

Today I went to exchange a Seabag - vintage and small zippered pouch that I had picked out on line. The store opens at 10:00, I arrived at 10:05. I went to the door to find it still locked but I could see that there was a female employee at the register desk area. I waited at the door as I believed she would come open the door or at least acknowledge that I was there. I pulled on the door and she definitely heard me doing so. Nope….
She looked at me and continued to do whatever it was that she was doing. I waited another few minutes and again tried to open the door in another attempt to get her attention. Nothing. So I then knocked on the door. She looked at me from the desk and finally made her way over to the door. She pushes the door out and says can I help you ? I asked are you open ? She states yes, you need to be patient. Really ? You could have just acknowledged that I was standing there and it was now 10:20. When I then told her I was there to make an exchange on a purchase I had made online she rolled her eyes appearing to be unhappy and irritated.
I explained that the item wasn’t as I had expected and that the pouch was smaller than I had expected. She says “well the measurements are on the site “ in a condescending tone. I showed her what I was given with the purchase which was the packing slip. She then had to call the Camden store to speak with the clerk there on how to proceed. She was extremely rude and impolite and I left after getting my refund. I came in to do an exchange however I will never set foot in that store again after that experience.

I really like their products but I was extremely disappointed to see they're using the absolute rock bottom minimum of safety procedures during this pandemic. The sign states that masks aren't required, and there's no hands-free payment option available. Especially for a local company, it doesn't seem like they care for the health of the midcoast community at all!
